An outstanding outdoor sporting goods store. A clean well stocked facility with a great selection of nearly anything related to hunting, outdoor apparel, archery, reloading precision shooting or nearly any other outdoor activity you can imagine. Their gun and ammunition selection is mind boggling. Their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. After many shopping visits only once have I encountered some snobbish attitude from the gun department which ended up costing them a rather large sale in the end.

I am new to the area and was recommended Van's by a couple of people I know. Personally, I'm a bit disappointed. So far, I've purchased a bow from here and have been enjoying it. The employee who helped me (I believe it was John) was absolutely lovely. I've come back twice now and have called multiple times and have varying success with finding what I need and getting good service.Most of the time, I do not get an answer on the phone from either the gun or archery department. When I do get an answer, I'm usually immediately put on hold or hung up on or get a very disinterested/rude employee (always the gun department). I went in a week or two with my bow to the archery department and was promptly helped by an employee who was polite and took plenty of time to answer my questions - I only wish I had gotten his name!Today, I went to attempt to find some good hunting clothes for myself and became increasingly frustrated trying to find anything. The clothes racks are packed so tightly that it is difficult to navigate without getting caught constantly on other racks and clothing, especially when carrying other clothes to try on. When I finally did find some women's hunting clothing, it was spread throughout the men's on the same rack and so tightly packed together on the rack it made it difficult to see what the item of clothing was/sizing/brand/etc. As big as this store it, it seems that the hunting clothes is the least cared for department and crammed way too tightly with little to no organization to find anything. I later made my way to the gun counter to look for some ammunition and price a gun I am interested in. I was ignored multiple times by employees passing directly by me onto the floor and into the back. I ended up just leaving without the ammo or the gun.All in all, I'm really disappointed. I had really hoped to find a good hunting shop in the area to network at and find some good gear and great customer service. Sadly, that is not what I found.

Bought a $1500 gun from here a few years ago. Had great service.Came back today to buy a gun. Asked to see what I was looking for, the worker said he’d get it. Next thing I know he was eating his lunch. Never even seen a gun.So unfortunately I will be buying from someone else.Just proves that customer service has even declined at locally owned businesses. So sad!

Van's is great overall and I give a 1 rating because the guys that process or pack the deer meat especially the tenderloins is robbing people of their meat. We brought 2 back straps in along with other parts but the was to be tenderize and did not get a half of portion of the tenderloins (4packs) to be exact, from 2 straps. This wasn't the first time we've experienced this type of issue my husband just chose to let it be but it need to be known that there are crooks working within that meat department. Customers beware and check your meat to make sure it's all there.

very very unprofessional, you have employees grouped tougher laughing while customers are trying to get help with YOUR products their trying to buy. Not to forget the dog walking around pissing and shtting on the floor. employees being rude and just about ignore you when you ask them questions. will not be returning !

Large selection. Prices on some stuff are outrageous. Even for a mom and pop business. I guess the prices reflect what they paid for it at that time. And do not drop the prices to current market value. Talked to two employees in the firearm section. One was rude and showed little interest in doing his job and ignored you or responded with sarcastic answers. The other was extremely nice and was happy to help you out. The girl up at the registers was also friendly. All in all it was a decent experience.

Went to Vans ready to spend money on a new pistol. Stood at gun counter for 10 mins had 3 employees pass by and one messing around on computer, no one greeted me nor help me worst service I've ever experienced at Vans

This will be the last time we get deer processed here. They don’t give you back YOUR meat that you bring in. Half of our order was okay, the other half tastes terrible. All the meat we dropped off was from the same deer.

Van’s has the largest selection of firearms, accessories and ammo out of almost anyone in the south! There is a Bass Pro a few miles down the road with less than a quarter of what Van’s has. We stopped by there on our way to TN to buy a very specific gun (Ruger Mk4 Lite) and they didn’t just have about 20 of them in different colors but they had the exact one I’ve wanted for a few years. They made the purchase super easy and were very professional. That place has everything from budget guns to crazy expensive guns! I’d recommend them to anyone. Even if you have to drive a few hours to get there, it’s worth it!

Poor service no veterans discount and was told there was bullet molds and everything you need for reloading and there was nothing as far as molds I will not recommend or revisit or suggest this place to any of my military or veteran family or friends support your troops and veterans people because without them you would not be here

Been going to Van's since about 1998.I only use them for my deer 🦌 processing now because I think I have all the guns, hunting clothes, boots I will ever need, but if I do need more stuff, I will get it from Van. The deer 🦌 processing is getting up there in price, but it is the best quality and flavor everytime. The men working the processing drop-off and pick-up are top notch dudes, very quick to ask to help load or unload your game, wash you ice chest out, etc.Van Allen runs a top notch quality business in my opinion. And no, I don't know Van personally, just have watched it grow from 1998 till now, he has earned the success.I drove from Biloxi today to get my sausage.

Just called to see if Vans had a particular sight (Aimpoint Duty). Was told they don’t carry Aimpoints. I have personally seen that they carry Aimpoints plenty of times. Dude was just lazy. Won’t be driving that way again.

went in on a Thursday to trade pistol for pistol, After talking to a employee he told me they will trade me. Due to me being there at 5:30 they said come back on Friday and fill out the 4473. after arriving around 515 I sat around for almost an hour they told me they will not take it on trade. wasted two whole days of my time and they are nothing but LIARS been shopping here for years will NEVER shop here again

Vans is a good place to shop for your gun and ammo needs. On the other hand even though vans is great I wouldn't use their gunsmith for repair. The gunsmith they use done a half repair job on my shot gun returned it to me not working properly and charged me $70. Then was told o well you can try fix it or we can send it back. Really that's not fixing any the trouble yaw have caused... so wouldn't recommend their gun repair service.

Absolutely love vans! They have everything and when I can't find something gun related they have always had something to help me out. Good prices and expert gunsmiths. Fast service. Best gun shop in Mississippi hands down.

I cannot, in good faith, recommend Van's to anyone. I've had two firearms transferred to them. Both sat for three to five days without being processed. I had called them after three business days, which seems very reasonable, to see if I could come pick up my firearms. I was told to wait for a call. I never received a call, so I had to go up there and tell them that I was contacted (a lie, and I'll take ownership of that) just so I could pick up my firearms. Both times I completed my 4473 paperwork, the guys were very rude and dismissive. One guy tried to argue about Mississippi state law, which I pulled up the state statute and showed him, and he still told me it was untrue. This is all on top of the fact that their FFL fee is $39. You can go anywhere else, with better service, and pay half that fee or less. Side note, their firearm prices are outrageously overpriced.Please, use another business for your needs, because Van's does not deserve yours.

Deer processing is the best. I am very well satisfied. I will never go anywhere else. I know I got all of my deer meat back. Quick turn around on drop off to picking back up. Thank you for your kind,courteous, quick, and friendly service..

Usually very crowded. VERY long lines. Don't go there if you can't wait. No matter what you plan on doing, there WILL be a wait. Especially in the firearms section. (not counting the background check). The owner is knowledgeable, but the other employees vary on their level of helpfulness. Expect a HUGE line waiting to pay. I will say that the cashiers are nice though. The dog that hangs out in the store is very friendly as well. Restrooms are so-so in their cleanliness. Don't know what I expected so....

Their recent expansion is pointless. The main problem has always been that the guns are right on top of each other and impossible to shop for because there are people filling out paperwork right on top of the gun counters and there’s nowhere else to do it. They expanded their store but they don’t have an area for people to fill out paperwork and move away from the gun counter? Why is it that you can never see the guns displayed because they are in such a small area, but when they expand the store they fill the expansion with clothing? If you’re going to expand the store at all, double the size of the gun counter and put the guns on a better display so that you can actually see them, and not have to look over the shoulders of people doing paperwork. It seems like this place can’t ever get it right.

I had Van's make some venison sausage for me. As far as the sausage itself goes, it was great, they followed my instructions to the letter and it was delicious. But it's all for naught if the packages are so sloppy that they start to freezer burn as soon as I put them in the freezer. Seriously, they look like a two year old did the packaging. I had to repackage most of the order. For the price I paid (145 bucks) I expected more care in packaging. A LOT more.
