Good food, often crowded at lunch time but not too much, also a good (free) seldom-crowded boat launch behind the store / gas station. Kayak launch ramp is also nearby. Almost guaranteed to see an alligator or two when heading out to the main channel.

Love this place. Where else can you get a fried egg sandwich, cold beer, and a handful of crickets and worms for under $10? Authentic, local, interesting, lively, practical and reliable. Good food and friendly folks add to this unique stop.

Nice family-owned shop with all kinds of food and lots of room/tables to hang out and eat at. Also a good solid convenience store with everything any other good convenience store has, also including bait and tackle.

Pelahatchie bay trading post is a great hole in the wall that has really good blue plate lunches. They have good options that change up day to day and they also have made to order food as well.

When I was a kid we use to walk to pelahatchie Bay to shoot pool an play video games...also fish an drop the boats here....loved this place
