We’ve eaten at Bridget’s numerous times over the years when we come to town to shop. We’ve noticed the service has diminished. The owner is not as friendly as in the past. We aren’t local so don’t always remember the ordering protocol, that we order at the counter, do they bring drinks out or do we take them to our table, etc. Poor communication. The location is more rundown and not quite as clean. Our cashew chicken salad melt sandwiches were not edible. Tried to only eat the inside ingredients, but cubed chicken tasted dry, rubbery and microwaved and the cheese was like melted Kraft singles. I can eat pretty much anything, but the chicken tasted “off”. We politely mentioned it to our young waitress, she apologized and I noticed the owner overheard the conversation, but didn’t come over to talk to us. It’s unfortunate, but we won’t be eating there again.

Had the Ruben and it was great! Staff were super friendly, and the place had a sort of everyone knows everyone small town diner vibe (in a good way!!)Also really reasonably priced for what you get—I could only finish half of the massive sandwich they gave me.Would definitely come back if I’m in the area! ☺️

Stopped by on a Saturday mid morning. We walked in and found a seat and started to look at the menu, with both of us agreeing on "Bridget's Chicken Salad". My mother went up to the counter and ordered and the women behind the register stated that she didn't have time to make today. Back to the menus we went.I ordered tomato basil soup and a grilled cheese sandwich, my mother ordered a turkey wrap.My soup was so bad that I couldn't take a second bite. It was so thick and the taste was just as bad. My grilled cheese wasn't even melted but that I could deal with.My mother order was just as bad. She couldn't even bite the wrap, it was so tough that she started to cut it and decided to just eat the stuff out of it.I'm assuming that she has higher reviews because we saw people ordering just coffee to go and some kind of cookie/pastry from out of the case.

Food is home-cooked and desserts looked awesome. The person taking our order is not really friendly. I know the first time they were really busy so probably had something to do with it. Gave her the benefit of the doubt. However, the second time there were only 2 other people in the restaurant and she was still quite unfriendly. I don't know if she is "Bridget" but wow...she sure doesn't make you want to come back again. I know people are tired and short staffed but being nice would go along way. We just thought a small town would be more welcoming.

Bridget's Cafe has excellent food and I had the best vanilla ice latte I've ever had in my entire life there. When you come in, go to the counter in the back to order your food. They have menus there and sometimes there are menus on the wall. Once you order your food they will bring it to your table when it's ready. If you're traveling, you might be a little confused by this and expect a waitress to come to your table but that's not how things operate here. Please don't let that deter you from stopping and eating at this wonderful little cafe. Remember to support local businesses!

First impression, nice little place. Service was iffy. My iced tea was old and rotten flavored, i was told they hadn't rotated the jugs. Offered a new glass, it was still a little off. Food was good to a point. The chicken mac isn't recommended, the cream had separated and left the consistency off and grainy. The Rueben was good but the sauerkraut was cold and made the sandwich colder fast. The clerk came around and spoke to other customers about customers that requested better quality and alterations to their food and drinks right next to me.

Road trip lunch stop. We both ordered bacon cheeseburgers and they were really good. Both the bacon and the hamburger were very flavorful and the bun achieved a nice balance of being soft without falling apart. It was moderately busy (3-4 orders just before ours at the counter) and they estimated 15 minutes for the burgers but I swear they were quicker than that. The menus are at the tables but one orders at the counter - then they bring the food too you. They explained that process well to us non-regular. We'll keep Bridget's in mind next time we visit Zumbrota.

I have been to Bridget's probably 6 or 8 times. They have wonderful Chicken Salad. Sadly, at least 3 times, they had sold out of their signature item. How does that happen?

Was looking for a small hometown cafe when we found this on Google... Definitely a place to stop for lunch. The soup was awesome along with the sandwich. We got pie to go and had it that evening... Key lime pie is really really good. It is a favorite of mine.

We went here with my family for lunch on our way back from Rochester and stopped because of the good reviews. This was the worst service we have ever received at a family diner. We got our food but that was the bare minimum. The waitress never came back to check to see if our food was ok and never brought our drinks, husband had to go to the counter to get a milk so he could eat, we didn't have enough syrup for pancakes, the list goes on, and of course had to go to the counter for the check never saw our waitress again. We noticed the other table next to us not being checked on either so not just us. Avoid this place.

Such a warm café; the food is amazing. And the desserts??? They're sinfully delicious. Must start out with one of Bridget's desserts before filling up on the great food. Love bringing office staff out to lunch there - not only for the food but to support privately owned, local businesses.

A group of 7 women who meet up for lunch once a month met at Bridget's today, which we have had good experiences at in the past. However, today, there was a wedding that was going to be held and, as a result, were closing at 1 PM. Three of us ordered entrees containing chicken. It tasted as though it was at least a day old. It had a weird flavor and was very dry, which is indicative of heated-up chicken. If the wedding was such a big priority, then the cafe should have been closed the whole day. When we raised the issue with the waitress, she had a reaction like, "I just work here." I think the owner would have had a different reaction. I would recommend going there because we have had good meals in the past, but today was the exception.

Food was amazing and the portions will that was above amazing, say spectacular! Service was great as well, small town, small cafe but everyone pretty much knew everyone. What a nice place.

Though the food was fantastic, I could not believe how rude the staff at this resturant was. My husband and I went in there for the first time this morning. We sat at a table seeing as there was no sign saying "Please wait to be seated". So sitting there and waiting for the umm...waitress? She finally came over and told us to we can order at the counter. So we did. When we got to the counter my husband asked if he could still order breakfast seeing as it was 10:55am and they stop serving it at 11:00am. The woman behind the counter then rudely told him "By her clock it is 10:58am." Finally after about 30 seconds of our shocked silence the woman said she check with the kitchen. She came back and simply said "That's fine." I told her that she just made my husband very happy because he had been wanting pancakes all morning. She did not respond at all this. She simply told us our total for our meals. Now I don't mind paying for my meal before I eat but to fill out the tip portion on my receipt before having been served didn't seem right, but the idea of leaving it blank after getting such bad service before even being served made me think i needed to worry about wether my food might be tainted or not. So long story short, great food horrible service.

It was awesome...food was great and they served 42 of us very quickly. Plus the home made pies were so very delicious. Just the restaurant was closer to Minneapolis.
