I can't say enough good things about Blue Skies. They made our dogs end of life experience at home so peaceful. Dr. Sara was absolutely amazing. She was so kind, comforting, patient, and knowledgeable. She explained the entire process and what to expect during each step. She treated our dog as her own. Dr. Tracy was amazing as well as she was our first point of contact and answered all our questions, help set up the appointment, and what to expect. I would highly recommend Blue Skies to anyone.

My 9 1/2 yr dog, Scarlette, became seriously ill after I’ve just moved back from KY. She’s a Dogue de Bordeaux, a breed that has looming problems without adding more.It was a true emergency one night, she was taken to the UMN then we followed up with Blue Sky.We used BS years ago (2002-2006) when we moved to central MN. Dr. Tracy was amazing. She is very patient and compassionate. I'm thankful to have found her and Blue Skies. We were able to provide our cat with a calm and peaceful passing in our own home. She hand delivered his ashes back to us in less than a week in a beautiful wooden box. Even provided a paw print impression keepsake. Thank you Dr. Tracy!

This clinic was able to get me in pretty quickly as a new client after rescuing a stray cat roaming around my neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and professional!I will say that the rates are pretty high compared to my primary vet near the cities but I was happy to pay more given our circumstance and turn around time they were able to get us in. We will be back!!

I went to Dr. Johnson for a second opinion on my Blue Heeler after being told by a different vet (in Cambridge) they couldn’t find anything wrong, but my dog was obviously suffering. Dr. J was able to show me he had a broken knee and a potential heart problem with in minuets of the start of the apt. He was the best vet I’ve ever been to and will be making this my main vet.

I’ve been taking my cats here for years, the new vet Dr. Hoff is fantastic and is very sweet and takes her time with them. One of my cats had a nausea reaction to benedryl and the team acted quickly in making him feel better. Highly recommend this compassionate team

I can’t recommend Blue Skies enough. We used their in-home euthanasia service for our sweet boy Carl. They were so responsive when I made the initial phone call and explained the process both over the phone and in our home. Dr. Sara was so kind and compassionate. She asked us about Carl’s story and our favorite memories of him and it was very cathartic for our kids and ourselves. Carl passed surrounded by his family and snuggled in his bed while being fed bites of steak. It was the best final gift we could give him and that’s made the healing process less painful.

My dog, Daisy, became sick right before Thanksgiving. My Vet would not get her in. I called Blue Sky Animal Hospital and they had her in the next day before Thanksgiving. They thoroughly checked her over . Diagnosis her and gave her medicine to help her get better. I am thinking of changing to Blue Sky Animal Hospital because they have always gotten me in when my dogs were sick. Daisy is herself again and feeling great.. Thanks to Blue Sky.

Horrible customer service. The techs and office staff are wonderful but both doctors have been straight up rude and condescending. I put out an ask on Facebook for recommendations and from what I’ve heard about Blue sky and how they’ve almost killed patients, given incorrect vaccinations, taken animals from good owners and so on, I will not be taking my animals back there ever again. Unfortunately for me, I purchased a kitten package with them. I used it mostly but I am out $80+ since I won’t be going back to have my kitten neutered and chipped (chip was included in package at time of neuter)DO NOT GO TO BLUE SKY ANIMAL HOSPITAL

Our family pets have been patients at Blue Sky Animal Hospital for 10+ years. We are always appreciative of the staff's warm welcome, the compassionate care and friendliness shown to our pets on each visit!We especially feel our pets health needs are met with true concern. Over the years we have been seen by different providers and each visit we leave feeling satisfied that our concerns were heard and we understood the plan of care addressed at the visit. Communication is excellent including follow up phone calls. One of our pets is on multiple medications which is costly. All our dogs are valued family members. K-9 Bobbi, a certified search and rescue K-9, delivered her singleton baby girl via C-section at Blue Sky Animal Hospital. K-9 Bobbi was so pleased w/the surgical delivery she named her puppy "Sky." I appreciated the exemplary, compassionate care from all the staff — from the veterinarians, to the vet techs, to the receptionists. All involved helped to allay my concerns during Bobbi's surgery. We are very grateful for the vet techs, vets and receptionists at Blue Sky Animal Hospital as they are so good with our yellow lab, Sully. He has a few special needs due to his traumatic past, and they are understanding of this and are patient and gentle with him. They have all been kind and helpful to work with and we really appreciate how easy it is to get in, when needed, and how quickly they get back to us when we have questions. Sully loves the staff (including the cats) at Blue Sky! Highly Recommend. :-)

Dr. Taylor was AMAZING! She took the time to ease our pet into a calm sleep. After letting her have her fill in delicious treats. She made Riley's last hour, a painless , happy time, before simply just falling asleep. She passed calmly, with her family around her, at home. There is no way we would ever do anything else , if ever faced with this awful decision again.

We moved to the area and had to find a vet for our cats; thankful they were accepting new patients. It’s been two years now and Blue Sky’s vets and techs do a great job. They are knowledgeable, explain things well, caring and very open to discuss options re treatments, never pushy. Reasonable cost compared to our past experiences in the cities, and helpful office staff. Lucy & Linus are a bonus when you visit!

Update Dec 2023The caring team at Blue Sky Animal Hospital is still so great. They fit Evie and I in on short notice this Tuesday right after Christmas for a "sick visit," quickly diagnosed her with pancreatitis via the cPL test, and were able to start treatment that same day. She was in poor condition, vomiting and pooping blood. I just lost a dog suddenly to a ruptured hemangiosarcoma on his heart early this year, and was very anxious about Evie's condition. The Blue Sky Team saved Evie's life, and it was a relief to watch her improve each day. They kept me updated with a detailed progress report each time I picked her up, and were very patient and caring with her and me. It was a weight off my shoulders to leave her in their vet hospital each day, knowing that they had everything handled. The prices are also very reasonable for the care received. Thank you so much for all you did for us. We'll be back in late January for her vaccinations.Dec 2019 - Dr. Jeff is amazing. I brought my 13 year old dog, Raven, there late December 2019 with an infiltrative lipoma as diagnosed by a previous vet. The estimate they gave for removal of that mass plus two other fatty lumps was much more reasonable than my local vet, and allowed me to move forward with the procedure. The infiltrative lipoma was growing into my dog's healthy hip tissue, so they also had to rebuild some of the muscle as part of the surgery. I wouldn't call it a straightforward procedure. Their original estimate was still spot on. Four months later, none of the lumps have come back. I'm so pleased with how much care Dr. Jeff took with Raven and I, and how well the surgery went for her. I'm a worrier about my pets, and he was always very validating about my concerns and questions.I've also seen Dr. Rachel with a very sick guinea pig, and was impressed with her demeanor, honesty and efficiency in diagnosing him. Blue Sky is now my regular go-to vet location, even though I have to drive 30 minutes to get there, versus the 5 minutes to my local vet. Thank you Dr. Jeff and Dr. Rachel for taking such good care with my pets.

We were so impressed and thankful for Dr. Taylor's services. Best described to me as a compassionate professional. She walked us through the process and didn't rush anything or any moment. She was even attentive enough to notice my daughters uncomfortableness with needles and shielded that from her with out prompting from us allowing her to be close to our sweet old lady during transition. This particular hospital is not my regular place I bring my pets. I had a medical emergency and they cared for my cat as soon as I could bring him in. The loving care they provided was incredible.
