This flow of this place is not easy to get in and out of quickly. I came for 3 things and had to walk all the way around the store due to the layout. They had things in multiple places (like meats, etc), which I thought was odd. The checker was friendly and quick. Being an independent grocery store, I would support it so it continues to stay in business.

Hometown grocery store. Awesome meat counter, prices are a little steep over all. But the atmosphere more than makes up for it. Always clean and organized, shelves are rarely empty, everyone is friendly. Can't complain

Small grocery store been around forever. Always a great selection, amazing excellent service, staff and pricing. Use to work at Randalls 8 years back in the day in every department. Was also a great place but Midtown is the bomb. Thank you

Midtown Foods is a long time grocery in Winona and very popular with local residents. The store is centrally located in the downtown and I find the prices competitive. Midtown Foods also features a fully stocked liquor store separate from the grocery.

As a business owner a block away, I’m literally here every day. The consistency on product inventory is amazing for a neighborhood grocery store, and the prices are just right! They source locally as much as possible- carrying local tomatoes through the winter, which is absolutely amazing. But the real highlight is the meat department! Everything is crazy fresh, and surprisingly reasonable given the pandemic aftermath. When I need an easy dinner for the kiddo and I, I’ll grab some expertly marinated protein and some kind of fresh veg, simply throw it on the grill, and we devour every bite together. Arnie does an outstanding job behind that counter, and Mike is also a joy to see. THANK YOU for doing what you all do!

I been shopping at Midtown for 30+ years. I wish some items are aa little high when you are senior on a fix income, but I understand that the manager is doing this because of what the Country is making it hard or everyone. Am about three blocks away from Midtown. Very good people working at Midtown.

Update: Their chicken tender special is one of my favorite deals in town, but I hadn't gotten it in a while. Was really looking forward to it for lunch today, but I was disappointed! The tenders were normally pretty big, but these ones were like nuggets. They did give me a couple more than I asked for, but I still hope this isn't the new normal. Still really like the place though!Really good local grocery store. I love their Sunday and Tuesday chicken tender special. They usually have a decent number of discounted items. I would reccomend Midtown to any college student or city resident.

Been a staple to my life. Grew up on the block next door and bias aside, pretty great products. really impressed with their meat, cheese, seafood product expansion in the last decade or less. Best fried chicken in town hands down. Kind of disappointed that they don't highlight their hot menu on the website though. It'd be nice to know (besides just knowing from living here) what is available everyday of the week from their hot menu. Maybe advertise it a bit more because it's delicious. Chicken tenders Thursdays and Saturdays are the bomb! Should be Tuesday and Saturday though lol

Mid town hands down has my vote for deli lunch meat. This is probably the only grocery I enjoy to go into real down to earth setting. This grocery store has been around a good number of years for a reason. They know how to appreciate the customers.

Midtown Foods is a wonderful local business where the staff are friendly and remember you. The selection is decent and the prices are good. You can't beat the location it is the only place to get groceries of any kind in the downtown corridor. The produce is always fresh. The meats are good quality and many cut in house with a competitive price, you can even find duck and lamb. I must admit I do a large portion of my shopping there.

Overpriced. Expensive. Definitely takes advantage of the fact that it's the only grocery store in that particular area. Which is too bad because a great number of the people who live in the area have fixed and limited incomes and have to shop here so the inflated prices really do a number on these unfortunate people.

Unfortunately, every experience I’ve had at this establishment has been negative. The customer service is abysmal. I have had rude, dismissive, and racially charged statements hurled at me from employees. I have been ignored and followed. It’s sad because I live a few blocks away. I would be an almost daily shopper if not for the way I have been treated in this establishment.

Conveinient downtown location that's open until 10pm every day. The store seems pretty neat and tidy, I never see any messes. The staff is friendly and helpful. Even though it's a small store, there's a decent selection of items. Prices aren't terrible and there's usually some good sales going on. The bakery and meat department are both excellent, I highly recommend them! Do yourself a favor, avoid Walmart and get your groceries at Midtown or HyVee.
