This has been a good Menards generally, but now I'm impressed. I somehow misplaced 2 Menards rebate vouchers in the store a few days ago. Apparently someone found them, and Menards mailed them to my house. Definitely a cool thing to do. Much appreciated.

I would like to give accolades to your employee at the Winona Menards. I was working on a dishwasher and needed hjelpI went down to Menards in Winona and to the pluming dept and asked for help and wad directed to Al. Al first asked “How can I help you?”With that Al helped me with options Very knowledgeable and pleasant.A very helpful employee you have there. And I thanked Al for his help And thanks Menards.

Got a number of items really cheap. But when looking for parts to fix the shower had a hard time finding what I needed. Even with one of the employees helping. All in all. It wasn't too big of a deal.

We are currently stripping my father in laws apartment floor tiles.. We were in need of someone's expertise as for what chemicals we needed to use without damaging the tile.. The flooring salesman was a delight. He was very helpful and we learned new knowledge as far as cleaning vinyl tiles go. We ended up purchasing liquid floor stripper that worked great.. I will rate this location 5 out of 5 stars all day. Thanks Menards for your help and knowledge

Was out enjoying the day riding bicycle an needed to just grab a pint of paint as I walk in the store the lady stopped me an said no animals in the store. My animal is so small he fits in a animal backpack that he never hops out of. The lady said it don't matter no pets. I understand that pets aren't allowed to be walking through the store. Which I follow. But this little dog I can't tie up outside because someone would steal him.I've never had kids but this lil one is my kid, he weighs less than 5 lbs. He don't bark he never gets out so I don't understand why he can't come in to get 1 pint of paint.I see like l know ds running around screaming knocking things off the shelves an that is okay but an animal that is in his own carrier on my back isn't allowed.???Last time I stopped at Menards on bike with my dog nobody said anything about it other than some workers saying how cute he was.Same lady who said no pet's this time was the teller at checkout last time I came in an she never said anything. Seems like you pick an choose when people are allowed to bring animals in the store.In reality if I make him a service dog he can't be touched, then I can walk anywhere. My lil puppy love people an likes to be petted. It's b.s. that if he has a badge on the same backpack he can come in but without it he is just a pet.Never had issues other than crappie materials from this store but now I will make it a point to go elsewhere.

Long time Winona Menards customer. Did a return for some boxes Wild Flower seeds that didnt even sprout. Worker contacted manager to handle my request for refund. Manager said it wasnt possible with out the 15 empty boxes even though i had the receipt. I said who keeps empty packages of flower seeds. He then contacted his manager. I explained the situation to him and said its unreasonable to expect a person to keep packaging for 15 boxes of seeds that i planted months ago. He finally gave me a store credit for the amount of the seeds minus the amount of the rebate. This manager was supper unfriendly. Im very disappointed in there attitude twards a long time customer. I will be doing my shopping in Red Wing Menards in the future!

Be cautious if purchasing any lawn equipment. They sell lawnmowers and lawn trimmers that do not work out of the box, or break shortly after purchase (or during the first use), and then don’t stand by their products and refuse to allow returns or repairs.This has happened with multiple mowers and trimmers at multiple price points. I want to support the local store, but cannot afford to keep on buying their dud lawn equipment.EDIT: I tried to contact the generalManager (as requested in the Menards response comment) but was unable to as the email provided didn’t work and the mail system bounced back my emails (stating that the provided Winona General managers email doesn’t exist).I hope I am mistaken, and this is a mistake with the email address, but this seems like an underhanded attempt to respond to negative reviews without actually solving the issue or assisting customers.If I could give a review of 0/5 I would.

I am ashamed at Menards. They sell food and food related products and YET they do NOT cater to their community. I walked into the store hoping to find vegetable plant seeds that I could not find anywhere else. I'm glad I found a packet. I went up to the register and was told Menards does NOT accept EBT cards. I loved menards but finding this out I'll go somewhere else.

We ordered decking materials three weeks ago… it was an expensive purchase that we were wanting to get installed and enjoy. Last week I got a phone call saying a few deck boards were damaged so I had them order replacements. They called again today saying that of the replacements that came, one of those was damaged. Maybe we will get the materials before winter. The lack of care and customer service through this experience has been horrible.

Store has good inventory. Help is very nice but isn’t super productive. If you know how to use the app you will get questions answered quickly.Checkouts are horrendous. Don’t plan on getting in and out of here in less than 20 minutes on a good day. Checkers are slow, and there’s usually only 2-4 when 13 stations are available. This store NEEDS to add self check outs, especially for the contractors that are here several times a day and are billing hourly to stand in line. Very frustrating.

I was at this store August 12 to buy generators for a linemen friend of mine and his almost 80 yr old parents. This was 2 days after the massive derecho storm that hit my hometown Marion, IA. I bought the only 2 generators they had, a brute generator in it's box and a brute generator that I was told was there display model. It was about a 900 dollar purchase. I was in a hurry to get these to them so I didn't bother to check the display one over, after all it was Menards a company I have frequently been to over the last 25 plus years and very very rarely had any issues. We got the generators to his parents and the one in the packaging worked fine but the display model would not start. When it was unloaded out of the vehicle we noticed rust on the side of it and little gasoline actually spilled out off it which was a red flag but at this point there was no choice but to add fuel and try and start it. This of course was going to be there 2nd night without power. On Friday the 14 of August I went back to the store and after talking to a few employees I got to talk to the store manager and he told me that there couldn't have been fuel in it and didn't have an answer for the rust on the side of it. All he would do was waste some time on a computer and tell me that they don't take them back after fuel is placed into the machine. He told me I would have to take it to a repair store. Alot of good that was doing for my buddy who was working 18 to 20 hrs a day trying to restore power to hundreds of thousands of people who were without power for now 4 days. Couldn't be more disappointed in a company I had grown to rely on for decades. Would really like to her back from there corporate office and see how they feel about this situation. If u take a look at the picture I attached with this post u can see the rust on the generator. This machine had obviously been outside and run for an extended period of time before it was sold to me. Really felt like Menards should have stepped up as a large corporation and taken care of these folks instead of putting this on these people who r already going through a great deal.

Everything I asked where it was in the Same place. " Over there." Couldn't find any one at one Department. So I called while in the Store. But Hailey at Check out was Amazing. She Sanitized after every customer. Walmart is Nasty and does not. Manners & Courtesy does not cost a thing.

A really great place to shop if you are an architect, contractor or Builder or simply do your own home improvements. Prices are affordable for this area Market. Staff are very friendly and professional. Has a very large parking lot with numerous handicap accessible parking.

Seriously I have had better experiences at Menards! My boyfriend and I were trying to find a new microwave and the staff was completely unhelpful! The guy at the counter ignored us for 5 minutes before we asked where the other over the range microwaves were. We were directly behind his counter and he turned once and ignored us!!! He told us they were in the reconstruction area and that was it. He did not take us show the microwaves and No offer of any other help. We had to go and find him again to answer our questions. Checking out was horrible too. The lady didn’t ask for a rebate and when I said “hey I have a rebate” she told me that she already put the transaction through and that I would have to go to the returns counter to use it now... we just literally handed her the cash!!! Usually a great place to go and friendly people but today it seemed like the staff did not care.

My husband and I frequent the Menards store. Recently we were there purchasing some wood stain and other things and we made an oops because it fell out of our cart. The employees were wonderful. They were quick to help, cleaned it up like a boss and even replaced our can of stain. Very impressed by the staff. Thank you!!

Bought a type c to hdmi cable. It was the lowest price in town. Review update. I bought some LED light bulbs and picked up the wrong ones ( day light vs soft white) I could not find the receipt but I did not think it would be a problem. They were the same price, same mfg, same packaging but they would not exchange them! I could see that if I wanted cash back but I didn't.

Like any store customers move items around and you might grab an item that's out of place and be misled. Also listen carefully to the rebates the price advertised is AFTER the rebate. Menards has great deals, and very well priced items. The best part is ask for a carryout at the registers. It's free and they're happy to help, but may be busy so just wait for them by the exit and they will be there asap!

Kudos to your store tonight. Our experience with Frigidaire was a nightmare, but after 9 days you guys did all you could to make things right and took our pos fridge back and gave us a good price on another in stock. You guys are the best. Just get rid of Frigidaire!

They need two checkouts. Have you ever thought of the people that are handicapped. Even seniors. You purchase an item or two on one side of the store and you have to walk a block to get checked out. No consideration! Think about it.

We ordered on line, 1/3 of the items were missing 2xs. They say look it over ,can’t get your money back., maybe they should be double checking what they put in the box. Went into store , bought paint for basement with the chips you sprinkle on top, interesting enough, the bag with the sprinkles was duct taped close, paint mix had been opened and Menards still put it back in the box and on the shelf for others to buy. Tells me they don’t bother checking returns before putting anything back on shelf. Quite the place ,If you complain they do nothing to resolve the problem.If Home Depot was in Winona there’d be no Menards…

I purchased a 30 ton Forest King wood splitter with electric start on Black Friday for $799.00. My son and I assembled it with the easy to follow instructions. Everything went very smooth with no hiccups. I'm very impressed with it and it was 50% off. I would recommend this one to anyone even at regular price.

Julie the general manager was the rudest most unprofessional employee I have ever encountered!! She had no concern for customers and only cares for her power driven ego. Definitely won’t return!! This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and I was just at a wal-Mart!
