My sump pump quit I ran to Menards to get one told the girl working in plumbing I needed a 1/2 hp sump pump figured she works in plumbing she should know I got home I a 1hp pump all of installed and not working very well because the float has to be up so high it doesn't pump much water before it stops and it's raining and there is nothing I can do about it this is just fantastic! I am very ticked off

While leaving Willmar Menards after paying and about to walk to my car with my father when I was stopped and forced to show staff where I put an object down after walking around with it and placing it down in an aisle since I decided I didn’t want to get it anymore. Like anyone else does.They tried to create an idea of me stealing which made me feel offended and disgusted by their staff behavior. We ended up locating the object in the aisle I left it in. Then was allowed to leave. I have never felt more discriminated against shopping somewhere. Their pale colored staff followed me around the whole time. Even in the bathroom making me feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. I was just trying to get supplies for a school project with my dad. Instead was treated like a criminal and left Willmar Menards in tears. NEVER coming back again.

We were at the willmar store bought 10 50lb bags of wood pellets getting ready to load them when an employee (Nick) came and offered to load them. It's not often that you can find customer service like that anymore. You have a good employee in Nick.

Menards is perfect for ordinary families who want to build or remodel but don’t have a massive budget. Back between 2019 and 2020 my husband and dad built our home in 13 months using almost exclusively materials from Menards, and I couldn’t be more pleased! Also, I’m not sure if it’s specific to this location or not, but our kids absolutely LOVE the way they set up all the Christmas trees each holiday season at Menards. They get so excited to run through “the Christmas tree forest.”

We were told that if we came in person to the store, we would be able to use our Big Card that recently got approved even though the card had not been mailed to us yet. We were rudely told that we had to by a manager that it had to be activated first, which cannot happen without the having the card in hand.

This Menards store is super clean and well-organized. Employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. There is a great variety of products, cutting down on the number of shopping day stops. The prices are decent, which makes diy projects actually doable.

Ordered a Christmas Tree online. When I went to pick it up at order pickup, they brought it out fully assembled. If I would have known the tree didn't come with a box, I would have bought a different tree. There wasn't even a discount for it being a floor model, which also wasn't mentioned online when ordered.

Love the store and has always been a 5-star, until today. We ordered a new door last week. Got an email that it was ready to be picked up. My boyfriend called the store to make sure it was there, then he gave them my name and said I would be picking it up. I got there and had to deal with two different “managers”. First they’re saying I ordered some flooring and not a door. Then they said they have the door but I can’t pick it up without permission. Sat in the car for 45 minutes with my sick kids expecting it to be a quick trip. Will order delivery if I ever have to next time.

They are always polite and help me find what I'm looking for. Also, their don't make me feel stupid if I don't know what something is called or how to do it. I am a woman & 53yrs old just starting some diy on my own which I've never done. Other places have made me feel like I should know it already or stand aside & let the professionals "men" do it. Thank you Menards in Willmar, MN for NOT making me feel weird asking newbie type questions. That's why I choose to shop with you.

As with all Menards locations they provide an abundance of good products at a responsible price. That said, the customer service at this particular location is unfortunately quite disappointing. A smile and willingness to be kind and personable towards your "guests" does matter.

Today I bought a power washer,500.00 dollars.Got home put gas in,oil started up.The pump would not pump water.Pump shot.Went back to Willmar,can't return,have to get it fixed at a dealership.So I'm stuck with it.This is horrible,they don't honor there products.By the way it was a Snapper power washer,3400 psi.Junk! I own 2 businesses,,,spend thousands at Menards

The employees are not very helpful. I bought Pittsburgh one coat paint like 50 a gallon and it sucks have to do more than one coat and is super thin for some reason.

Great customer service. I needed parts for an old camper and they helped me find everything. There was only one thing they didnt have that I needed, but the gentleman helping me actually offered me one that he had laying around his house. If you need anything they will help you out in every way. Also not to mention they were all very nice to talk to and I had a great time there.

Preston in cabinets was sooo very helpful AND patient! Great customer service skills. We're new at looking for cabinets and she made us feel comfortable and didn't make us feel stupid. LOLEveryone else we came in contact with was friendly.

My mom ordered 2 panels of 6x6 vinyl fencing and they didnt get put away, we drove 2hrs from st. Paul to get these and they didnt have them. The 1 girl that was helping us went to help someone else while my mom was standing there.Finally after about a hour of fooling around we got a manager to give us 2 bigger panels to replace the once they sold from under us.

My 2 grandkids and I asked for help in buying outdoor carpet for the end of our dock. The Menard's guy recommended the sturdiest carpet, got the glue and spreader we needed, and also helped us get the exact right cinch straps to hang up our hammock. He was so nice! We were very happy with our visit. Thank you!

Daniel at register 9 was super rude. He was cranky and had a very sour feeling to him, as well as seemed lazy/ tired barley being able to keep his eyes open. We tried using a gift card from here, we didn’t know the balance, but we just got it recently, we tried to use it and Daniel said it was declined, we asked him to help just in case we were sliding it wrong or something, he said “call your bank”, when the card wasn’t even from the bank. The thing is, the lady in front of us tried paying with card and it said hers was also declined. For me that seems weird that two people had their card declined.

Called today to speak to plumbing. Bought a portable ac unit couple months ago it worked for awhile so we threw the receipt. We payed cash so I couldn’t look up receipt. The ac stopped blowing cold air. Called today to see if they would exchange unit. She was rude. said nope I cant. I said thats weird because New Ulm said they would. But New Ulm was out of the same ac. She told me nope. So whatever we ended up taking it to New Ulm menards and exchanging it for a upgraded one we just payed the price difference. New Ulm menards is awesome employees! Willmar plumbing employee was rude and didn’t care.

Me and the wife went to the willmar menards to buy/order brand new appliances (new stainless steel kitchen stove and new stainless steel refrigerator) we looked at every one they had, twice, 3 times. Not 1 employee came to ask us if we needed help, nor did any worker appear to be in the appliance area for the 29 minutes we stood around and waited to be helped. I even walked around and looked for someone to ask to help us. Not 1 person could be found. We were actually the only customers in the aisle besides 1 man looking at deep freezers early on 1 or 2 aisles over. I realize that i spent way to much at menards. They dont care about customers, they only care about getting your cash. Do not shop here. I will not do business here again. We wont waste our time there again.

My wife is 9 months pregnant and has a medical exemption for wearing a mask. She was stopped at the door and was not allowed in. My advice to everyone, shop somewhere else. Menard, stand up and be American. Better yet, be a decent company that allows freedom of choice. You sell American flags there and yet follow like sheep. I will not shop here anymore.

Menards treats their employees like crap!!!I use to work for them back in receiving... I was set for the outside yard... Hot horrible humid scorching day. Did the place of employment bother to offer me sunscreen? something to drink? or help out when this was out of my normal routine? NOPE!!! So, I was burnt red... and I thought I would take a short cool off break cause the heat was making me sick, so I went into receiving to cool down for a moment... The supervisor comes over and acts like a dick to me and tells me to get back outside. After that day was said and done I never showed up for another shift. I highly recommend staying away from Menards for employment and I would also recommend that people go to Home Depot if you can. Home Depot isn't the best either, but it is far better than Menards is.

Store employee immediately jumped upon my entry on wearing masks. For people who have a pre-existing condition, this should not happen. And it is not the store's business if the clientele has any medical issues.The store manager should review the rules set forth by the CDC and the decision upon this.
