There is so much to see in this space that is filled with local flair, souvenirs, and something for everyone. Walker General Store has a friendly staff all kind enough to talk to me about the upcoming weekend events.

Today while perusing the streets of walker this little store seemed appealing to me. There were no signs showing the hours and no open/closed sign in sight. My friend and I proceeded to open the UNLOCKED door and were then screamed at by either the owner or an employee of walker general store. She talked to us like animals and didn’t even tell when the store opened. I would like to add, that we were in no way rude or trying to cross boundaries at their store, we just simply didn’t know because there was no way to know. I felt very very disrespected and I will not be taking my business to walker general store anytime soon. I hope this review steers you away from this store as well. If I were I able to, this would be 0 star store from me.

this morning I had a not so great run in with the staff at walker general store and proceeded to leave a bad review of the store, which i have in parentheses below, because I was unhappy with the experience. but I have now changed my review to 5 stars because the owner took the time to look through their reviews, which shows me they care about their business, and they also responded to my review telling me that they would address the problem, which makes me, as a customer, feel a lot more respected. my family, friends, and I visit walker, MN every summer and I have visited walker general before, and today after my bad experience I was feeling dissatisfied, BUT, after the very kind reply from Walker General’s owner I will be bringing my business back to Walker General Store.(today while my friend and I were strolling the streets of walker we thought that walker general store would be a fun store to enter, so we opened the UNLOCKED door, not to mention there were no store hours posted anywhere in sight telling us wether or not the store was open, and got absolutely screamed at by an employee, not only was she screaming at us she was screaming at us like we were dogs. after my experience with walker general store today I am feeling very disrespected and will no longer be shopping at a store where the PAYING customers are treated like animals.)

We love our yearly visit to Walker General Store. It is a must stop on our shopping trip into town to find unique souvenirs for the entire family. From clothing to food, shoes to fun gifts, you will enjoy browsing through this store and picking out just the right thing for everyone on your list.

Cute store but the sales lady was extremely rude. We were there on vacation from Illinois with 5 teenagers and she continuously stared and followed them while shaking her head and giving us dirty looks. I’d hate to say it but I felt she was discriminating against us because not all the kids we have are white. I regret buying from her store and supporting a business that employs such a rude person.

Sales lady was bothered and rushed us because she was closing. It's a shame because we are visiting from Florida and looking for gifts to send home. There are plenty of other shops in town that I am sure would appreciate the business!
