Cash Wise serves a function in our grocery shopping route, but we only visit occasionally. By priority, we use Aldi > Costco > Fresh Thyme > Cash Wise > Coborn's > Lund's & Byerly's. There is a clear reason for each of our top three stores: Aldi is an efficient store that is often the most affordable option, Costco's bulk pricing is competitive on some items, and Fresh Thyme has some attractive produce options. Cash Wise places behind all of these because it's really just a lot of stuff—too much stuff—and it seems pretty clear that there is a cost burden to Cash Wise for carrying all of that stuff, or the prices are just not that competitive. Relics like Cash Wise seem to be a shadow of supermarkets past: huge, abundant stores with so many options to choose from. I imagine that a metric no one ever uses is something like 'the percentage of products on the shelf that a single customer ever buys in the store', if they can even track that (like with the rewards program, or something). I do wonder how small that percentage is. Still, Cash Wise will often carry the odd item or two that someone else doesn't, and Coborn's and Lund's & Byerly's both seem to be generally more expensive and/ or less varied with their product offerings. We will drive past a closer store that is more expensive; gas is cheap, and our time is not that valuable most of the time. So, Cash Wise plays a small part in our grocery shopping, but it is indeed a small part.

It's average in pricing it's products are average and the customer service is average it's better then Walmart by far Walmart is the worse place in the area to get anything I suggest not to ever go there it is not safe it's full of gang members that work and hangout there I know two people in the last month that had gotten jumped there while workers stood and watched didn't ask or call did nothing to help the poor 84year old grandpa and did the same to the 79year old grandma who was got beat so hard with a object that was used from the store she is still recovering day by day but very frustrating that security said they aren't there to watch over grandparents there taught to look out for thieves 😢😢

The service from the staff on the sales floor were stellar! They were very helpful and considerate. I also enjoy the wide selection of products that this location has available. The low point was when I proceeded to the checkouts. The gentleman who helped me was very inconsiderate; didn't say hello, didn't respond to my greeting and didn't even bother to turn the line converyor on long enough to send my groceries halfway down-the-line. I didn't like having to inconvenience the person behind me by making them wait so that claw the rest of my groceries down-the-line. I do prefer to use actual cashiers instead of the self-checkouts, but if this is the service I can expect, then I may have to start using the self-checkouts whenever I visit this location.

As far as grocery stores are concerned, this is fairly run of the mill. The prices are fair, the inventory is good, etc. I do not shop here often as I moved away, but when in the area I like to shop here. They have many locations, and this is one of the cleaner ones. I give the company in general 3 stars, but this location gets 4.

On the south side entrance ( the Caribou side) they have self checkout. Most days there is a guy who manages the area. His name is Mike. This guy is the most helpful, friendly person you will ever meet. The checkout process sucks. Nothing ever works right!! Mike is constantly helping customers fix whatever is wrong. I know that is his job but he actually acts like he wants to help you! I hope Coburns/Cashwise is sharing their RECORD PROFITS with him! He deserves it!!!

Great supply of natural and homeopathic products. Large grocery selections that include USDA Organic approved foods and products. All that with a super friendly staff!

Great fruit, the best. Great employees especially the every helpful, personable and respectful Nathan Lemieur. Get this kid a raise yesterday!!! The rewards program has much room fir improvement. I shop rather frequently (3-5x a week) at coborns and have yet to gain a single cent discount on my fuel. I've contacted them 3x to no avail when it comes to working correctly. I will say thx for the one guy who gave me a . 35 fuel discount about a year ago. Kudos middle management!PS don't forget that raise for Nathan.

Stopped for a quick cake as we passed by the store. Curtis was amazing, helping us at the cake decorating counter! Wrote names on our quick pick-up cake and made our day as he chatted, made us laugh, and told us if his 30-year decorating career. Great surprise for us, friendly service!!!!!!!!! Thank you, Curtis!

The Natural Market section of Cash Wise is where I stop whenever I'm in town. The selection of vegan and gluten-free options is quite good and the prices are not bad. If you are staying in town and need some gluten-free waffles for breakfast or dairy-free ice cream for a party, this is the one stop shop in the area.

Besides groceries they have a deli area, a caribou coffee, a Gate city bank although I think its a drive thru not sure, and they have a value center? I am not sure what that is as I have never been inside of it I will take a closer look next time I am there and just an fyi the liquor store is not attached to the store it is actually across from the cash wise grocery store itself

I absolutely LOVE this store. The bulk section is amazing! Every city needs one. The prices are great, you get a lot for your money. I was not overally impressed however with their deli and bakery items (ex. to go meals, banana bread, cold salads, etc.). I would maybe choose a different store for those needs.

Cashwise used to have stuffed scallops in their meat section. I am disappointed they stopped selling them as no one else does. The rest of the store has a decent selection.

Great store. They have so many options! Only issues i have is the prices are a little high and they make you bag your own groceries. For those prices they should be bagging for you. But the produce is wonderful and the bakery kicks butt!

Mold on the purple grapes. The Rutabagas were over ripe and there was a moldy one in plain sight. Not impressed. Prices are higher than Byerlys. Half of their inventory is out, but then Byerlys or Cub in Monticello or even Teals in Cold Spring has everything in stock. Run from this store!

Shop here a few times over the last couple of weeks now and I'm in love with this store for shopping and having lunch and having a place to sit down and eat is seriously wonderful... Gourmet Pizza two slices and a pop for $6.33 is like getting four pieces of pizza because they're so big and they're just that good...

Cashwise has really good Gluten Free Bread in their bakery. And they have a rwally good gluten free chocolate cake mix!! Dairy is reasonable and so is deli lunch meats. Truckload buys are ok, but most deals are not super healthy options unless it is bananas on sale... Isles are big, almost too much of a selection. Great flower department. Natural food section is very big too. Check it out. It's good.

I got a cake from the bakery at cash wise, and was completely satisfied and amazed with how the cake looks and it it tasted great I literally always tell Kurt to just do what he does best and give him a theme and he always does the best job ever I 100% recommend them for all of your bakery needs you guys rock I can’t say enough about how happy I am with this new cake that I just got for my daughter’s 17th birthday. It was a luau themed just like I requested and it was amazing thank you thank you thank you. Star….
