Employees are rude as hell. Feel like I'm always being targeted through self checkout when I've never stolen.I come to this walmart a few times a week usually. I haven't seen one of their only nice employees in awhile I hope she still works there. Otherwise I'm taking my business to target.

My fiancé went to the Wadena, Walmart around 2PM this afternoon. He was trying to find one of those syringe things (one our cats need it to help him drink water) and the three employees he asked for help were rude and unhelpful. One of them he didn't even get time to say anything to they just said I don't have time for you and stormed away. The other two said they couldn't help him and walked away as well. They weren't just younger people either, one of them was an older gal. I really think you need to keep a closer eye on your employees or at least train them to help a customer instead of being rude.

I went to money service counter because I have a MoneyGram money order that I needed to get a different amount on so I was trying to cash it and get a different one the rude woman that walked up to the desk barely looked me in the eyes and immediately turned me down I had looked at their website previously because I live like a half hour away and it said that yes they cash MoneyGram money orders and even if for some reason they don't she didn't have to be so rude about it and start walking away before we're even done talking I called another Walmart about 40 minutes away and they said yeah we do cash those for sure so I don't know what their problem was but I'm just not going to go there again absolutely no sense of customer service at all

Waited over a half hour for just a propane exchange. When I called to make sure someone knew I purchased an exchange, and someone was coming, the lady was rude saying she was helping a customer and hung up.

Least helpful location I've ever been to. Either understaffed or just staffed with self righteous prigs. Contempt for asking where something is or if they even have it. I'd take my business online save the fact I would still need to deal with some dink in the actual store.

This Wal-Mart was just okay. They have some good deals and variety but it all comes down to customer service for us they were not courteous and we're rude to my husband. That just doesn't sit well with me!

Cashiers are usually rude when it's busy, you could cut the tension with a knife, I have to say that your not the only person who has to work, and if you don't like your job find something else, taking it out on customers is bad business in general, I'm sure corporate would love to hear how thier store is run at times.. 2 stars for some as not all of the employees are, but you will know right away when your checking out..

Well I was actually working here but it's a nice WalMart. Lots of items in stock. The customers are very friendly as is most of the staff. There are a few bad apple employees but fear not, the bad apples work overnight and so you, the customer wont notice them.

Nicole in the photo department was fantastic, she had no problem helping me with me trying to figure out the photo machine. I had no clue and she had lots of patience with me and helped me fully. She's a keeper.John in the deli department was very helpful also. I explained that I had never ordered food from them before and he was very pleasant and helpful.

Always have something you need in a small town at a good price and our local Walmart fills that situation very nicely. Always helpful and courteous associates along with a solid line of every day essentials it is a valuable resource to our rural community.

Sorry “Coach” Ken. I’m calling you out tonight. You left your cashier and your customer hanging over $3.28 cents. The poor gal at the customer service desk had her hands tied because she doesn’t have the keys or the codes to do what needed to be done. In the grand scheme of all things Walmart our $1500 a month probably won’t make a difference but you almost lost it tonight. If it wasn’t for the fact that Wadena Walmart is “my” Walmart and I have had 0 other issues in the past 10 years…..apologize to your gal in returns that you left hanging tonight 7/30/23 at 7:20pm please.

Super busy. Check out lines were all busy with 3+ customers waiting. Was able to get everything we needed. Cashier was very courteous and friendly.Had the most pleasant young man cash us out. He greeted us with a smile and did a great job bagging.Got all that I needed. Only 2 cashiers open & a few self checkouts.Nothing has changed. Very busy and the associates are friendly, kind, and helpful.Super busy today.

Store understaffed like every retail establishment lately, there is a buzzer at the dressing room so we didn't have to wait, self shoppers running around with their huge double high racks with bins shopping for the lazy acting like you're the inconvenience or in the way, and freight with shelf stockers everywhere. Staff mostly friendly, & the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting!

I moved to wadema from California. I am a African American and I felt like a lot of racist tension in this Walmart. The employees were looking at me very rude, no smiles, just looked with pure anger. Won't be going back.

Not bad. Standard Walmart fare. Smaller store which could mean they have less things available, but it's easier to traverse than it's monolithic brethren. No auto center yet, but I believe they're adding one down the road. Fast & convenient grocery pickup. Adequate to friendly service.Update 9/22/22Not nearly enough cashiers, however, self checkout was quick and painless as usual, with only a brief 2 minute wait.

The womens clothing is hardly there. Minimalt shirts, probably around 7 all small size. If you want people to shop local cater to the needs. Lines are ridiculously long on Sundays. I don't know about other day.

I rated this Wal-Mart a 2 a few years ago, it's worse now. The pandemic has caused issues with product shortages, so I can't fault them there. Staffing however is a whole different story. This store just has a general feeling of "I don't want to be here" from most of the employees. I've learned that asking for where something is just adds time to your search as they generally don't know either. Being greeted with a smile, much less even acknowledged by an employee is a rarity. I have returned several items there and never once waited less than ten minutes just for someone to show up at the customer service desk. The checkout aisles are even worse. The self checkouts I avoid mostly simply because people using them aren't any faster than just standing in line. Recently the regular registers are not even open until 9am, so you are forced to self checkout before then. Today I went to checkout with a cart load, self checkouts were a mess as usual and they are not designed for large cart loads. I waited in line for 22 minutes. A lady behind me asked a manager if another line could be opened and he said they didn't have anyone else. Oddly enough, another register opened just a couple minutes later. All of these reasons and more are why I truly don't like Wal-Mart. Unfortunately in a town this small options are very limited.
