My first time here. The food, service, atmosphere are all so wonderful. I was so impressed. Very lovely.Just one tiny criticism: I've heard that in the past (before I was able to visit here and it was a reason I stayed away for as long as I did) the folks who run this place tend to push their faith on people. I have a friend whose husband had a very terrible experience. And the family who owns this place has done rude things to people at their Bible camp. Acting entitled because of their faith. I didn't get that vibe when I was there, so maybe all the complaints that have been posted about Kunnaris got through to someone and they mended their ways. Pretty sure someone could get shut down for persecuting people for not following what they believe is right. Anyway, the Bible verses on the walls were a little off-putting, but the rest of the decor was wonderful. I am open to trying another visit.

We made a bee line for the.. Phoenix riding from the flames...the new building is larger and more accommodating. The parking lot is always full...we hunted for a spot. My cellphone was almost dead...I asked around and learned they have certain settings for customers who need an outlet....I think we found the last one...Booths have decorated artwork on the cushions...tables for 2 or 4...counter seating....you order from the counter and they bring you your order...home made..not frozen....restrooms are cozy...a gift shop with homemade or store bought items..from coffee to books....very busy...staff is always smiling and willing to help. In the spring they prepare a greenhouse...They have special events for different holidays.Kid-friendliness: No special seating but the children could walk around, while waiting for their meal..and look at the toys, books, etc

Really good food and they use only the best ingredients. I def recommend you stop and get a bite to eat. They always have some kind of wonderful dessert that changes daily. They also made the most stunning cake I've ever seen for my sisters gender reveal, and they were extremely helpful helping her choose and guiding her through the process. There's so many great things about this place that you just have to stop in and see for yourself! You won't be disappointed!!!

Every time I've had the food here it's been so delicious! The service as well . The only reason I'm giving 4 stars for service is because we sat in the high top area inside last time we ate there, and we could see several of the cooks and waitresses eating and drinking in the kitchen area without gloved hands and handling other items from the back.Otherwise this place is exceptional !!

I entered a wrong number in the rewards sign in. The cashier refused to allow the order to be deleted and re entered correctly. Another cashier stepped in. Agreed it would be deleted. Then proceeded to say it probably won't work. Such a lack of customer service shocked me. How wonderful someone else got the reward for my large order. The wrap was dry. But the fries were great.

Great place for coffee and wraps. Ordered signature turtle twix and white chocolate mocha. Both are very good. They are one of the best options in the neighborhood for vegetarian option - veggie wrap. I definitely recommend this place.Vegetarian options: Veggie wrap, pastries, muffins, grownup grilled cheese sandwich with no bacon

I was meeting my wife on her lunch break . Ordered 20 min ahead and her burger never arrived 45 min later. She had to go back to school hungry. And just wasnt a good experience due to the excuse of "big corporate orders " so the customers that ordered already were pushed aside and never were told that ordering a burger wouldnt be a good idea. And after asking for our food (which would of been another 30min wait) vs Refund.. I picked the refund and after another 15 min the manager or owner gave me my partial refund and seemed annoyed to do so and no apology from her. Just not a good lunch date with my wife at all. The resturant business is very hard work but solid customer service goes a long way but that wasnt there either. Very sad i havent visited in-store in over a year either. Wont be back anytime soon . Rate 1 out 10.Wheelchair accessibility: Not handicapped friendly. Unless you sit outside. No way to sit in the actual resturant.

Don't pass it! Pull in and place your order for an amazing breakfast. Didn't get a picture, too excited to eat the fluffiest omelette we've ever had. For sure you want to order the breakfast potatoes. They are made with what we think was Italian seasoning. So good. If you like carrot cake, you'll love this one made with extra cinnamon.The atmosphere has a warm, shabby chic feeling. The staff is very friendly, like they've known you forever.This is definitely the place we'll come to again when in the area.

This is the cutest restaurant/coffee shop on the iron range. Caribou got nothing on them. You can taste the freshness of the food. I so appreciate their little shop and all their unique pieces. Definitely a must see.

Absolutely fabulous! I was staying in Virginia for work for a few days, and decided to treat myself to Kunnari’s for breakfast on my last day. I ordered the breakfast bake (with no toast) and a large dirty chai latte. Service was outstanding, my food was fresh and filling, and the latte - BEST dirty chai latte I have ever had! It wasn’t overly sweet like other places make it, and just the right amount of spices. Perfection!The farm market is right next door, and while I sat outside to eat, they were unloading oodles of fresh produce. My only regret is that I waited to visit!

My grandpa taught me when I was growing up, if you don't know which restaurants have the good food in an unfamiliar town, look for the full parking lots. Kunnari's parking lot is full for a very good reason; their tables are also full at mealtime. But there's still plenty of room for you. Friendly staff serving excellent food. Their style may catch you off guard at first; you order at the front counter like a fast food restaurant. But it is a sit down restaurant, and kept very tidy. And though you will have to wait a reasonable amount of time for the food, it is cooked fresh to order and tastes wonderful. I haven't eaten from their dinner menu, but their breakfast is terrific, and their bakery is awesome.Kid-friendliness: When I was little, I frequently sought out a good donut. 😃 If your little ones are like I was, they'll be very happy here.

Kunnari's is a fresh addition to Virginia, Minnesota. The cafe has good selection of bakery items, sandwiches, and salads. Portions are a good size and care is taken in presentation. The atmosphere is charming, with a gift shop annex.

I got one of their sandwiches as a take-out order. The service was great and the food was good. I wouldn't say that the sandwich itsself was awfully impressive, but I did appreciate that it was VERY fresh. Their store portion had a great selection of preserves, sauces, soaps, and fresh produce. I wish I had been in the area longer to give them a try.

Kunnari's made my 3-week stay in Northern Minnesota absolutely golden. The farm fresh ingredients were a welcome reprieve from the fried and greasy food I had become accustomed to in the area. Seeing the familiar Finnish dishes on the menu was exciting, and everything tasted delicious. I'm a huge fan of the adult grilled cheese—5 cheeses, bacon, red peppers and pesto aioli is so unlike anything else you could purchase on the iron range. I also found everything priced very appropriately, especially for the quality. Kunnari's is a welcoming and friendly place, and I cannot say enough good things! Make sure to stop by the market and grab some fruits and vegetables!

Came here for lunch. The good news was they have gluten free bread for sandwiches so the wife was happy. Honestly this would have been five stars except for the interactions with the front counter people. They seemed like they didn’t really want to be there and messed up the order a couple times. Really glad I found this place when searching for bakeries in the Virginia area! Though this isn’t primarily a bakery, their blueberry muffin did not disappoint and they have multiple other goodies here too! The gift shop is expansive and Carrie’s a wide selection and I appreciated the abundance of refridgerated local produce as well as the healthy food options in the restaurant/cafe portion of the business. They had some plants for sale outside too. I really loved the berry lemonade drink I ordered too!
