We had some last minute changes due to the Covid pandemic and the people there were very accommodating. We were there for 5 days and it was wonderful. The fish weren't biting much but we did pull a few out. The cabin was great and the people were very nice. Love the sweatshirt I got from their shop-needed it as the nights were a bit colder than I packed for. The beach was nice. My granddaughters loved playing on the slide and in the water. It wasn't too deep for them to walk to the platform. (5 and 7 yrs) The adults enjoyed the campfires and fishing. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and dishes. The bedrooms were nice and the living space was large enough for the family. (We had a cabin and an RV but mostly hung out at the cabin) We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Shady Rest. Next trip with the family we will definitely try to get a reservation!

Our friends have a seasonal spot here. It's very clean, not dog friendly and a rather small but very nice and clean beach. The cabins are right on the water, all various sleep sizes.

Very helpful staff and well kept grounds. Water is clear and lots of shells on the cute beach area. Safe place for kids to be kids! They have kayaks and a paddle boat to rent and games to borrow. We enjoyed Bocce ball :)

Canary beach is an excellent place for anyone to visit. Place is very well kept, Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Great people, we have been camping at Canary for 10-15 yrs and this place just keeps getting better, great place for family and friends. Cabins are well suited, clean and comfortable, we have alot of fun at Canary beach.

My family stayed here for a week long vacation. We rented two cabins. The cabins are very nice and very well kept. The owner is extremely nice. They have things to do for kids and it's a nice getaway for the adults. I'd recommend it for sure.

This is a nice resort with the cabins right on the lake. This our second time here in three years, just so we could be right on the lake. Not all resorts have this option.Fun to have campfires with a 11pm quiet time. Just remember, you make your own fun.

Beautiful location and wonderful people!!! Campround needs some tlc and upgrades. Sewer caps broken and no 50 amp service. Hard to navigate big rigs. Bathrooms, showers and laundry need major updates. The fantastic owners and location if the sites make up for the issues!!!

Beautiful Resort, wonderful host, and loved the Cabin awesome stay would definitely go back. Very relaxing fishing was a little slow but still had a great time🤩🤩

The Lot sizes were a little bigger than I had expected, and the people who were renting there were friendly and kept the noise level to a low level. The beach was a little rocky, but the water was pretty clean and relatively weed free.

Very enjoyable experience. Had cabin 10 which had a great yard for the Grandkids to play in. Cabin was nice. Great spot to wade and play in the water. Grandkids loved it. Hope to return next year if vacations can be coordinated.

Such a nice relaxing place. Bathrooms could use a little updating and it would be nice if they didnt shuffle weekend campers around but my family and I WILL be coming back very very soon!

This was the first place a small fishing boat was not provided with cabin rental for me. Yes boat and pontoon was available for rent, Any other place I've stayed had a fishing boat available with cabin and I supplied the motor or just had to oar.Dont get me wrong We did enjoy our stay.

Drove 5 hours there paid over $130 for a couple nights, got to the campsight and no grate on the firepit to cook on and the area we where in was more of a trailer park than a campsight, needless to say we turned around and drove back home. If you are looking for a rundown trailer park to camp at, you found the right place.
