I don’t post reviews very often but I think it is important for people to know before they try to get established here. When I first started going to this clinic we had a very positive experience. I do not know what has gone wrong but the last 6 months to a year they have been the worst I have experienced in poorly run clinics in 20 years. They are disorganized, forgetful, and never call back. They never save a time in their appointments for urgent care. They constantly have office and communication issues. They respond like a robot to questions or inquiries and then tell you they will call you back. Guess what, they never call back. If you call them again the tone gets rude. There doesn’t seem to be any common sense. They will tell you they will see your pet for an urgent issue or emergent issue in days to weeks later like that makes sense. I guess I could understand if they are not set up for urgent issues but even if you use them for routine care, they do not establish a relationship for the pet. When you call again for follow up care for the same problem, they state you will need a new appointment and that they need to see the pet again. That new appointment could take up to 1-4 weeks later before they can help you and they will charge you all over again for the same problem, even if they just saw that pet a week earlier. To add extra problems to appointments, you may have a great experience with one of the vets and then a horrible experience with the other vet. No consistency. It’s a small town and a small clinic but they don’t even remember your pet or your name. Because of serious care needed with one of my dogs in the past, I had to go to a vet in Duluth. I had a professional experience with great front office organization and great care of my dog with reasonable prices. When this Two Harbors clinic yet again couldn’t help me with an urgent need for one of my pets, I called the clinic I used in Duluth. I received an immediate call back, common sense reply of the need for urgency, same day appointment given, and they remembered my name and treated me like family for the care needed. I just saw them once before and they remembered! Don’t waste your time here, there is no establishing a relationship of care for your pets here. Make the short drive to Duluth!

My miniature dachshund has been seen by all the doctors at Two Harbors Veterinary Clinic. Each of them took an interest in him and seemed caring. The office staff and Veterinary Assistants also seem to genuinely care. I most highly recommend.

Talk about impersonable staff, will not be back. Understand wanting to run a business but seems like a cash grab do it for the animals and not your pocket. Unfortunately we gave this business an opportunity but should have just went to larsmont or the ely instead vets instead.

Do not go to this vet clinic or their sister Clinic, Grand Avenue veterinary clinic. They are dishonest, misdiagnose their patients and have untrained staff. The vet slandered me and my family without getting full facts and put the entire situation on her untrained staff! When I brought up the fact that I will be suing them for malpractice, I was accused of being abusive. Funny how things get turned around when money is involved. I am very disheartened because there is one staff, one administrative assistant and one vet that I adored! My Great Dane responds to her very well. And she answers all my questions and respects my wishes with my pets. I can’t say that much for Dr. Ball who nearly got her face bit off by my Dane because she disrespected him. And she disrespected me when diagnosing my cat. Upon doing some research and hearing stories from several of my acquaintances, I have discovered that it’s not uncommon for this doctor and doctors at the clinic in Duluth to misdiagnose, neglect, and abuse both patients and clients. I will absolutely never take my business there again!Edit:The Grand Avenue and Two Harbors Vet clinic owner is lying. I was irate at the performance by untrained staff and neglectful doctor. I threatened to sue for negligence. If that is considered abusive, then albeit! This vet clinic will say anything to save their own skin and pocketbook. I have spent thousands between both clinics. I am speaking out as an abused client! Yes, Dr. Ball used abusive language towards me. Dr. Marshak, why have you not personally contacted me to get my side of the story? I spoke from my honest truth, as impassioned as it may have been. Your staff speak from lies! Upon reading the numerous negative reviews and consistent deflection by the owner of the clinics, I am surprised either clinic is still in business!

They take great care of our dogs, Penny and Pippin, and at a very reasonable price. You can tell everyone there just loves animals and want to do their best to care for them.

I just want to thank the staff, for making our babies trip across the rainbow bridge so peaceful. We had him cremated, he came and a very beautiful wooden box, in a velvet bag. They made me two paw prints with his name, and then when I got home I had received a card from the staff that they had all signed. You all are so kind, thank you ❤️❤️❤️ you made me cry 🕊️

Switched from another vet because of more reasonable Covid practices and because they charged $300 less for my dog’s spay surgery. Dr. Ball is excellent. I also brought a dog in to be put down (long story) and they were extremely caring and compassionate.

It is easy to get my dog in here, but after several visits, my trust was not gained. I felt I had to ask the proper questions to get the information I was seeking, as my dogs exam and the discussion afterwards were not thorough. The billing breakdown is confusing. I felt like I was left thinking more about pricing instead of the care and options for care for my pup, which felt icky. Another friend has had a bad experience here also, though that is not my story to share. I do not recommend this vet's office at this time, though I hope they grow as caretakers and become better, more inclusive. In example, I really appreciate thoroughness and even more extensive after care reports... something to make the guest feel more included in the process and in the loop with their pets care. To have the diagnosis making processes shared is a gift.

The staff was so caring, compassionate, and made us feel at ease when we had to say goodbye to our beloved dog Brandy. I can't say enough about how they made this hard time for us so comfortable and we never felt rushed or pressured. Thank you so much to each and every one of you. Highly recommend.

Caring and compassionate staff... complete professionals. The hours are a bit challenging, but very manageable. Always responsive and attentive to our needs as well as our pet's. From our first visit to our pet's last, it has been nothing but top notch service.

The receptionist, nurse, and doctor were all very nice. They took care of me as quickly as possible; though I understandably had to wait a bit for lab results.

We have been trying to call the vet office for over 2 weeks now and never get ahold of anyone. And the voicemail states to not leave a message because they will not call back. We are established people at that office already with our dog. Our dog is in poor condition and we've been trying to get ahold of them and have had terrible luck. I guess we will have to find a different vet office. Poor customer service.

A couple years ago I brought my dog Abby to this vet for an exploratory surgery. They removed a stuffed tiger from her stomach. I returned to the office after her surgery to visit with her vet and see the toy that was removed and immediately realized this wasn't a toy that was ingested at our home. I took a picture of it and she asked me what I would like done with it and I said please throw it away. She then explained she would be taking her to the grand avenue office for observation over night. i arrived at the grand avenue office on a Friday to find my dog running lose in the back. I was approached by one of the techs and told she was saying her goodbyes. I didn't think much about it. She seemed good on Saturday and was in my immediate care the entire time. During that time I had discovered that the tiger had been ingested at one of my friends houses a few blocks away during a BBQ. On Sunday morning I awoke to hearing my dog throwing up and and to my surprise I found the stuffed tiger that was removed from her on the couch covered in the rice she had for breakfast! After consulting with my equine vet about if I should be worried about her incisions and what not. I then was infuriated about the fact I was told this tiger had been thrown away! How did my dog get it again!?! I went down the the Two Harbors office bright an early Monday morning with the tiger in tow. I walked in and asked if the vet that had proformed my dogs surgery was available and was told she was off for the day and how they could help. I asked if they by chance knew what she had done with the tiger they had removed from my dogs stomach...the tech told me it was thrown away....I proceeded to ask are you sure? And was immediately reassured and asked why? I at that point presented them with the tiger and asked how do you explain this. One tech ran very quickly into the back and got on the phone while the other two looked just as surprised as I was. I was then told I'd be receiving a call from her the next day. The next day I did receive a call but it wasn't from the vet that proformed the surgery but one that wasn't even there. She tried to say there must have been two tigers and there was no way she had gotten it there. This infuriates me even more. The following day her vet called asked me to come down again and to bring the tiger, which I agree to. I brought it down there where it was examined and was told there had to be two....well ok being the first one didn't come from our house where would she have gotten a second one. There was NO OWNERSHIP in a mistake. It was put on me completely! I was completely disgusted and enraged! I contacted the Minnesota board of veterinary medicine and filed a complaint and will never set foot in this establishment again! The customer service is horrible and the professionalism is disgusting. All I wanted was an apology and some ownership to be taken as I understand accidents happen but I got neither, I contacted my friend in which the tiger originally came from and asked if there was anyway there could have been two and was told absolutely not. Not only that, the dog didn't leave our house once during her recovery. When she was taken outside to relieve herself she was leashed and in my immediate care! I do not recommend this place to anyone! I received nothing but snarky rude comments from multiple different employees, this surgery cost us around $1200 up front. If your looking for negligence and poor care then this is the place for you. there was NO offer for partial reimbursement or refund. What if my dog wouldn't have thrown this thing up this time and would have needed the surgery again!?
