Room was clen , however the AC barely worked. Had to have window open at night to stay cool. NO HOT BREAKFAST. JUST GRAB AND GO ITENS. Cereal was stale & limited. A handful of cutie oranges. Warm milk & terrible food service yogurt. Not even a waffle or pancake maker. For almost $175 a night, we will not be back. Plenty of other hotels in town that provide a full hot breakfast of eggs , sausage, bacon & waffles.Rooms: Clean but AC did not cool room. Had to sleep with windows open.

Very comfortable stay. Felt very safe as a solo female traveler. The front desk associate, Brooke was so sweet and accomodating! I didn't have a reservation when I walked in. She let me see a room to make sure I felt comfortable staying there. Breakfast options were great and filling.Would definitely stay there again. Thank you!!Safety: Very safe

I was on a road trip from Texas to Canada when I suddenly found myself stranded in Two Harbors. I got a room here because a lot of the other spots looked pretty run down or they cost a bit more. All the staff here were very nice and helpful, but the maintenance guy, Kelly, was on another level. I met a lot of friendly people on this trip, but Kelly was easily one of the coolest and most genuine people I've ever met. He went so far out of his way to help a complete stranger and all he asked for in return was for me to "pay it forward". I don't care if this place was a cardboard box, I'd still give it 5 stars just for him. If you see this guy, give him a hug for me. Dude is a legend.Noteworthy details: Kelly

My friends and I stayed here as our layover before starting our boundary waters trip. It’s the perfect distance from the twin cities if you want to make it most of the way to your outfitter. The hotel was wonderful. Very clean and nice amenities. The staff were absolutely standout, so welcoming and friendly. I did t catch her name but the women helping with continental breakfast was delightful, I really enjoyed chatting with her. Also I have to mention the new pancake machine! Two perfect pancakes with just the wave of a hand!

Was quiet and slept well. Rooms are a little outdated and they turned down a late checkout request, which was a first for me and a little annoying. But for singly ply, the toilet paper was surprisingly soft. Would recommend to others and stay again.

My husband stayed in the hotel in March of this year. The rooms were extremely clean and staff was friendly and provided exceptional service. He stayed for one week and was able to enjoy the area amenities and State Parks. There is in- room coffee which is always a plus. The beds were comfortable and there was no shortage of hot water. The manager, Russ, was extremely helpful and assisted with extending his stay. This is a great hotel, in a great location, with extremely helpful staff.

Stayed here for two nights while attending the Day Out with Thomas event and enjoyed our stay. The staff was kind, courteous and hard-working.The queen room felt very small when we put up our toddler’s floor bed on one side of the bed - wish they had some kind of a suite with a few extra feet of space. The complimentary breakfast was well-stocked but all very grab & go, not really a hot breakfast. We brought the food back to our room because the dining area is tight. If we could add anything, we’d add a drinking fountain or a water bottle filler. There wasn’t a place for drinking water - the front desk offered bottled water and referred us to the Qwik Trip next door for easy refilling. Wish it would have been on-site but the tip was very helpful! The pool was nice - there was a rowdy group of kids there when we tried to bring our toddler in with a life jacket, so we quickly left, much to his disappointment. The hotel itself felt clean, every staff member was kind and we felt safe - the rest is just details and depends on other guests!

The hospitality of this hotel is next to none. Russ made every accommodation available without question. He has been by far the best part of our stay as he made us feel welcomed, wanted, and cared for beyond our expectations. The pool area is exceptionally clean and knowing we were snowmobiling, Russ offered to turn the heat up on the hot tub a little to warm us up. They are extremely snowmobile friendly and we will definitely be back next year.

The location was great. Walking distance to everything. Close to dining and a grocery store. Safe, clean, and friendly. It was fun to have the mini golf and an indoor pool. Coffee available all day.Walls were very thin. You could constantly hear the doors slamming of the other rooms. In fact, on our last morning, I counted at least 20 door slams between 6am and 8:30am. I had hoped to sleep in for a long day of travel, but was up at 6am. You can also hear people outside in the parking lot and the garage collection. I would suggest asking patrons to close the door quietly instead of letting them slam behind them.I also did not care for the no housekeeping. We stayed for 3 days and there was no housekeeping. You have to ask for towels. For the price we paid ($284 a night), the hotel could provide a minimum of at least coming in and replacing towels and emptying the trash.Breakfast was grab and go. Didn't bother us much as we ate outside. Also, there are stairs only, so if you have lots of luggage, you want to request first floor room.

Stayed two nights over spring break. The room and facilities were clean and the staff was very friendly. We used the pool, hot tub, and sauna everyday. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise: lots of grab and go items (cereal, muffins, granola bars, fruit) and a touch less pancake making machine.

This is such a nice hotel. It was reasonably quiet, though we were across from a room with small children. I appreciated the adult-only hours at the pool from 10 to midnight. We had a jacuzzi in our room, which was wonderful. The breakfast was perfectly adequate and free. I liked the touch-free pancake maker, though the syrup wasn't very good. The staff were very kind and friendly, helped us get back in our room after we checked out but forgot a bag in our room. We got a late checkout by calling the night before.

This place was so beautiful and well kept! The employees there were so friendly and willing to answer any and all questions we had. Their attention to cleanliness both in the rooms and the community areas did not go unnoticed! I liked how the pool was open late (midnight) so we could enjoy after a long day of driving, exploring, etc. Their complimentary breakfast was superb with breakfast sandwiches, juice/coffee cereal, fruit, and even this cute pancake maker that made them quickly and on the spot. This will be and has been my go to place to rest when exploring the beautiful North Shore!

We stayed here just last night. The room was nice, but the heater went absolutely haywire when we turned it on, our smoke alarm went off, and there was an electric burning smell. This review has more than one star only because the poor woman running the front desk (who was new) tried her very hardest to help us. She cleaned the heater, ran a fan, and apologized multiple times. However, she did not have the authority to give me more than a $40.00 refund. I appreciated that she couldn’t do more, but that was simply not acceptable. We could not go in our room after the hours of 5:00 am without feeling sick from the smell. So, we had to sit in the lobby with a very upset one year old, then quickly get ready and leave once the smell had dissipated enough. I will update my review to a higher rating if we get a better refund, because of the woman at the front desk who was trying her hardest. I would accept even a 50% refund but paying over $300.00 for that experience does not seem fair to me. I will be contacting a manager on Monday.

When we booked our room we were told we were eligible for a 15% discount that brought our total from like 330+ down to 280.. when we checked in they said it was 283 I believe but then I looked through my bank statements and noticed they still charged the full 330.The other issue was that their "quiet time" was not enforced. There was some hockey tournament last weekend and there was kids running down the hall super loud at midnight.Pretty unfortunate because the hotel was actually relatively clean but the experience was kind of poor.

A very cozy hotel. Noise was the biggest issue, as every sound goes through the walls quite easily. Rooms were very small for a family of 4, but the rooms were otherwise nice. The breakfast area is too small for the amount of people staying at the hotel. The breakfast selection was good. Cost was high, but it is my understanding that all hotels are charging much more now.

My family enjoyed a 2 day stay mainly to get the kiddos out and burn some energy in the pool. Everything was wonderful and I have nothing to complain about. Wonderful friendly staff (especially the night girl she was so helpful), nice quiet and clean rooms. Pool was the perfect temp and the kiddos had a blast. Thank you for such a nice staycation!
