I really feel the prices are normal for organic food it is pretty expensive if youre new to the clean eating diet . The store is clean and the selection is decent if you eat organic foods at home. However i must say if there are three employees standing at the register staring at me bag my grocery joking with eachother with nothing to do maybe some traing on customer service would be helpful. They were friendly just not helpful.

Unfortunately, they don’t have the burrito bar anymore nor do they make sandwiches to order, they also lost the hop bar/salad bar. What’s next? There’s no point in really coming here anymore unless he needs some overpriced groceries. Everything is like 30 to 40% more than the average item which I understand because it’s located downtown and half the stuff is organic but it’s still ridiculous. Only time it’s a good deal is if you come on wellness Wednesday or you get one of the co-op deal sales. The main reason I’m posting though is because my son recently got a peanut butter, chocolate chip cookie along with my sister a week ago and they keep over baking them. They are crunchy and almost burnt. Cookies are supposed to be soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside. They need to change their baking game….When I used to work there, I was very vigilant about how long I would bake them, nobody wants a rock hard cookie !!

I'm a member and keep trying to spend my money here. Just purchased a $9.00 sandwich was not warm , with what looked like ground up meet and no ability to have any veggies. This could be such a great breakfast and lunch option. Sorry. Last try. And staff won't even look at you and no consistency in asking for member numbers.

River Market is my go to for just about everything. They have a phenomenal selection of natural healing products, I’ve been able to find so many ingredients I needed there that I can’t get at the big box grocery stores. Even the scent of the store is comforting when you walk in.

I stopped at the River Market Community Co-op for the first time on Tuesday, September 13th, 2022. I was in the middle of a long bike ride and I wanted something to eat. I tried their burrito and it really is an 'Awesome Burrito' as advertised! Everyone in the market is so nice and polite. The store is very clean and organized. They have an excellent inventory of all kinds of healthy foods and drinks. It was a nice discovery on a late summer bicycle ride. I will be returning to this market very soon.If you are out on a bike ride or just strolling around Stillwater and you feel like treating yourself, this is a nice option.👍🙏😌

As a long time customer I’m curious why the deli has less variety of choices including limited soup options compared to years ago when the Co-op had a WAY broader variety of optionsAlso why do you close the deli at 3pm? It can’t be staffing excuse again. Kowalski and similar businesses are fully staff well into the evening.

I love my local co-op. The bulk-section is quite nice, and I can bring my own containers so I'm not making extra waste. Good place to find fair trade products. Great deli sandwiches. Staff is always very friendly. I enjoy shopping here a lot more than at a standard mega-grocery store.

Eureka I've found it!Since my introduction to the Cuban Sandwich at Tony O's little stand on the 3rd level at Target Field 10 years ago, I've been in search of it's equal. I haven't found one in the Twin Cities... or any other place I've visited for that matter! Today my search ended at River Market. This is a new item at the deli and let me tell you, I'd probably be willing to pay twice as much for it, amazing...and not only will I be back, I'll be telling all my friends! Special shout out to the young ladies working there on 6/9/23. My granddaughter and I were just one of 3 pairs waiting to order at 5:56. With closing at 6, I figured we were too late, but they graciously stayed and took all our orders, though I could tell they were shutting down. This wouldn't happen in many places... we would have been turned away. Thanks girls!

My family and I used to love coming from Woodbury to eat the fresh made food, burritos and smoothies. Unfortunately they removed the ability to eat the hot food in the store. When we asked, a cashier oddly said it was never safe to eat food in the store. They fully bought into the covid silliness and now they don't want to let it go. At this point it seems to be a convenient excuse to lower the quality of service and justify it because "safety".

Fantastic! I am so grateful for the kind, thorough assistance I receive. As an old timer from the beginning days of this coop, I am committed to supporting this newest version of the market. Yes, "Cooperation" has remained the purist thread of store operation. I am proud to be a memer.PEACE 🧘‍♀️

This locally cherished spot offers an abundant array of farm-fresh produce, a veritable cornucopia of spices in bulk, and a delectable assortment of nutritious, mouth-watering foods. Not to mention, their parking situation is a dream come true for any downtown shopper. On a recent visit, I had the good fortune to engage in an enlightening conversation with a friendly deli counter employee about their renowned pesto pizza. The exchange unfolded as follows:"Excuse me," I began tentatively, "I've heard great things about your pesto pizza. What makes it so special?"The employee beamed with pride, responding, "Our pesto pizza is crafted with a rich, homemade basil pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, and a blend of mozzarella and feta cheese. It's baked to perfection on a scrumptious, crispy crust.""I must say, that sounds positively divine," I replied, my taste buds already tingling with anticipation. "Is there a secret ingredient or technique that sets it apart?""Well," the employee leaned in conspiratorially, "it's not much of a secret, but we use only the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. Plus, our pesto is made in-house, which really adds a certain je ne sais quoi."My curiosity piqued, I couldn't resist asking, "What do you think would pair well with your pesto pizza? I'm on the lookout for a non-alcoholic beverage, as I'll be driving later."The employee thought for a moment before suggesting, "I'd recommend our house-made ginger lemonade. Its zesty, tangy flavor complements the richness of the pizza quite nicely."Needless to say, I left the River Market Community Co-op with a satisfied smile and a newfound appreciation for their dedication to quality, locally sourced ingredients, and the delightful people who make it all happen. It's a true testament to the vibrant spirit of Stillwater.

Can you ever go wrong with a neighborhood Coop? Not with this one!Their staff is always so friendly and willing to help you with anything you need.I am always amazed at how knowledgeable the staff is about their products and that they will actually go get someone else who knows about you're question if they don't have the answer.Their deli area always serves up the finest of products, and their produce and bulk sections are just awesome. Their presentation alone just makes you wanna eat some!!I love hearing the employees greeting all the regular members that come in.....by name!!! That's a personal touch that just can't be beat!!I also love that they have all the little extra things like water jugs, hand sewn face masks, locally made hats and gloves, and just a bunch more cool stuff!!If you're looking for a healthy, clean, and fun place to shop and help support you're local farmers, growers, and artisans.....then look no further!!

Wonderful co-op. I have been going here for many years, maybe even over a decade. Staff is always friendly and helpful and there are a variety of Gluten and Dairy Free options. They do not carry my favorite cookies, Kinnickinnick brand, nor do they carry Daiya brand dairy free products (like cheese) so I do have to visit other stores to get all of my shopping done. They do have lots of low waste packaging options and have a wonderful bulk section where you can bring your own containers. They seem to be busy or at least it feels so as it is a small building and quite full of product. I use a wheelchair and have a service dog and can easily fit down the isle, but there is no extra room beyond that. Other customers are always nice and social distance.

Such a cute, local grocery store! I’ve had two not so great experiences there, one being a dead fly in my salad and the other being a smoothie that was not blended, chunky, and overall not tasty. But despite those experiences, I still go back for their selection of pre-made sandwiches and other goods. Still love this place!

The Fresh Produce Dept. has gone down in quality to an all time low.My wife picked up several items yesterday and the winter squash code 74786 I poked my finger into the side, soft and rotten in side. The carrots code 74562 are soft and the ends are turning black.I will return on Friday. Who's Sorting The Produce ??I have been shopping here since the Valley Co-op days.

River market used to have a wonderful deli with plenty of options and stayed open till 8 o’clock. Now you’re lucky if you can grab a soup before 4 o’clock; they don’t even have many fun options for soup as well… They should always have a meat, vegetarian and non-dairy option (utilizing coconut milk). I started going to chipotle because they don’t offer burritos anymore as well. That was the highlight of this place especially for the bikers that would come through! Another weird thing is that most of their cold items in the deli are not covered anymore under snap EBT benefits. This has recently changed in the last few years because I recall being able to use snap on these items. It’s funny though, if you ask them to put a curry chicken salad on a sandwich, then it is covered somehow. It must be because they are using an old PLU number. Their reasoning is because it’s prepped (why it’s not covered under snap) but this is not parallel to their theory because the sandwich requires prepping lol. They also used to have way more variety with sandwiches and smoothies and now there’s barely anything on the menu which is really sad because they used to have really long lunch lines and I think that was partly due to all the fun options! Hopefully they can get some better management in there to straighten everything up and hire some quality team workers😁 I also think it’s kind of unusual that they keep forcing their workers to wear masks off and on. They keep changing the policy which is sad because it should be optional. For being such an organic hippie kind of place, this doesn’t match up right….On a side note, I thought it was pretty cool that they offer the bikers discount. Anyone who uses their bike as transportation to get there receives a discount on their purchase.

As a member for over 25 years, it has been a continual disappointment to walk into the co-op. Every single time, the greeting is horrendous and rude, and the staff puts off an arrogant and uppity vibe. It always feels as though they are utterly inconvenienced by our presence and patronage. It’s a disappointment to continually try to support River Market.

We love this co-op. It carries the best honey I have even had in my life. So delicious. The local bulk honey is good and the Marquette Honey Farms honey is the best honey I have had, hands down.Thd store carries organic food and Specialty allergy food. They have a nice fresh prepared section. They also have a nice Bulk Foods area. We appreciate all the items that they have to offer at the store. It is nice shopping for people who want to eat healthy and organic and minimally processed foods

Nice convenient little co-op grocery store. It's a little on the small side, but has a pretty good selection of items.

We stopped in for the first time today, we were sent a $10 certificate for our first visit so we stopped in to grab some snacks for the day. The place smells amazing and has some awesome choices. The employees also seemed very happy to be there. Prices were a little higher but if you're looking for organic and what not they are very fair prices. Awesome location. Would reccomend.

My family loves this place. The cost to join is very reasonable. I think I've already made back my membership fee in bonus points. If you live in the river valley, just sign up. I feel healthier just being in the place! Sure, the produce is a little expensive, but you really do get what you pay for. They always have an interesting selection of stuff you just won't find at Cub. The bins in the back are always stocked with wonderful granolas, nuts, grains and rice that are just a pleasure to prepare. If the Co-Op ever gets tossed off Main Street, I'm going to be very upset. It's a Stillwater mainstay. Keep it up folks!

They have a great sandwich bar with gluten free and vegan options. They rest of the store has a great selection of products from produce to meats, the vegetarian food as well. The staff is friendly and they usually have local made gifts throughout the store. My favorite sandwich is the Charlie Brown, brings me back to when I was kid! It has peanut butter, cream cheese and raisins on it! They have a lot to choose from.

I really like shopping at food co-ops. You never know what you will find. My friend and I bought a few items. We'll return when we're back in Stillwater. Stillwater is a very quaint town and so much fun to shop at. Lot's of different shops, cooking, clothing, antiques, pet stores and more. I love going in to all the stores, even if it is just window shopping. Even walking along side the river is nice. Stillwater is gorgeous in the Summer. Outdoor dining. There is also gondola ride's. That's so romantic to go on one, I'm sure. I really like Stillwater, Minnesota.

We are long time (40 years; first when it was located up on 'the hill') shoppers, this is a true member supported, run, and managed working food co-op. It is our 'go-to' store for fresh organics. Wonderful variety. The deli is a delight with soup/sandwiches to go. A spacious patio overlooking the river is also a treat.

The cashiers and deli staff are friendly and helpful. The review is completely about the incompetent management. There’s one in particular that will argue when there’s a reasonable complaint to give
