The service was terrible, took forever to get our drinks. If I wanted a glass of coke I'd have asked for one, I wanted jack Daniels and coke. My fiance ordered a wrap without tomatoes or cheese. The no cheese was the important part since she's lactose intolerant. She was served a wrap with both cheese and tomato on it. We sent the wrap back stating we needed it with no cheese, tomato, especially the no cheese part because she can't have dairy. About the time the rest of us were done eating, another wrap with no tomato but still had cheese on it was brought to us. Meanwhile, we were all waiting for our drinks to be refilled the whole time. If it would have been busy, might cut them some slack but it wasn't busy there was no reason other than not caring about the customers health that this mistake was made. I used to have a vacation trailer across the street from here and have been coming to this bar every now and then for over a decade and will never be back.

Dining party of two: had excellent steak special with baked potato, and a seafood platter with grilled walleye, grilled shrimp, and scallops (with baked potato). Each dinner comes with trip to salad bar. Grilled fish was very tasty, shrimp and scallops also well-prepared. Salad bar was extensive, but a bit picked over by the time we arrived (7pm). Service was very attentive, but one server was not really able to keep up with taking care of customers and make sure salad bar stays filled. Menu says there is a reasonable split charge, so will return again to try the seafood platter again split between two people.

Boated to the restaurant, dock was a little high but we managed. Had salad bar with added chicken breast, which was delicious. Others in party had burgers, tots, and drinks which they enjoyed. Atmosphere was happy & upbeat. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back! Perfect little bar stop for Saturday mid-day boating.Dietary restrictions: Fries & tots are wheat free which was perfect for my kiddo. Regular burger was a good size for him too (he’s 10) which he had without the bun and was full.

This place is amazing. We showed up with 14 people in our group they accommodated us with no issues and happy to have us. The food is great and the service was exceptional Briggs was our server for our group amd she was so accommodating and ready to help. We can't wait for warmer weather so we can come with pontoon sit on their huge deck for more great food and fun. Thank you Patty and David for a great day!!

Absolutely atrocious experience. Took the family out for our son’s birthday. Not only did it take 15 minutes to get water, but another 10 minutes to get drinks.Brought out my meal incorrectly twice, and completely forgot to bring out what I actually ordered in the first place-the third time-which I still didn’t get. My sons meal was sub par at best. Then after 90 minutes had passed, forgetting my food completely, they took my meal off the ticket and charged me for a “kids salad bar.” Mind you the salad bar had empty bins, random veggies in the dressings, not refilled, etc. 2 hours later, I paid $70 for a horrible experience. Never ever going there again. DO NOT recommend. I would give this place less than one star if I could.

This restaurant is top notch! Went there with a large group and no reservation. Not sure what was better… the food or the service, I’ll call it a tie! Beautiful views of the lake. Definitely going back, and look forward to a summer visit on the lake and dock up for a tasty meal and cold beverages.

When traveling to the lake Minnewaska area, we always find ourselves at the waters edge restaurant. They have great food along with a great salad bar our group of 14 people were all very satisfied with the service, meals and the staff. Our waitress BBRIG’S is top shelf. Briggs our waitress was very entertaining with a great personality. We all enjoyed her very much. The waters edge also has great views of the Lake while you’re eating and of course, having a few cocktails. I also wanted to mention that the Waters Edge Restaurant is under new ownership, and they are great people with great ideas. Would highly recommend the waters edge restaurant for your next meal if you’re in the area.

Environment is amazing. Big patio right on the water. You can pull up to shore and hop out for a drink or a meal. Unlimited salad bar is $13. Great selection of salads and build your own lettuce salad. Highly recommend based on the atmosphere and even more so because of the food.

Good small town restaurant and bar. Great view of lake Minnewaska from the restaurant or the patio. Good selection of burgers, sandwiches, and dinner entrees. Even has a salad bar for those who like those. Food came out hot, was prepared well, and tasted great. We had Jackie for a server and she was on top of it.

Ordered the a “broasted” chicken quarter and was pleasantly surprised at how genuinely good it was. Hash browns were also on point. Most of these lakeside places are … OK. Waters edge was legit good. Really digging it. Outside lighting could be better (but, that might be a bug thing).

Really beautiful spot. When I went, it was super busy, so we had to wait 30 min for service. No big deal. I understand how it works. But after I received my duo appetizer, and realized I had waited an hour for stale chips that look they came from a minor league stadium food court, jar salsa and queso, I wasnt very pleased with my time spent. Nothing against the waitstaff. It's not their fault that where they work serves bad food.

Tried to eat here on a Sunday night; walked in at 7:40 and the kitchen was closing at 8. We just wanted a couple beers and the salad bar. The kids would’ve had easy burgers and apps. The waitresses ignored us; wouldn’t even acknowledge that we were there. They cleaned tables around us, brought other tables food and their bills; basically doing everything they could to not serve us. We got up and asked for some menus at 7:50; they gave them to us, obviously annoyed but still never came to wait on us.I was a waitress for over 8 years when I was younger; I understand that you’re tired and don’t want to wait on the last people who come in…but you can at least acknowledge a table, get them a drink, and find out that it would’ve been an easy order and a 20%+ tip.Your loss and now I’ll think twice about giving this establishment my business the next time we come through town.

Water's Edge has always been a favorite, but over the last few years the service has really delined and so has the menu options. Tonight was particularly disappointing. We were not waited on at all (including drink orders) for quite some time until we went to the bar to ask for service. Once we were waited on, we waited quite a while to get our food. We had to flag our waiter to ask how much longer on the food, which is when we were told he did not know a time frame on food. He and another waitress returned with our food, he left her to bring most of the food. Most of which was cold or not done. Our waiter only checked in on us when flagged. Also took him a while to come collect checks from us. Very disappointed tonight and likely wont be back any time soon.

Stopped in with our kids for lunch, knowing it was going to be your typical fried bar food so I didn't have high expectations. The food was fine, but I had a very strange interaction when ordering my food. I wanted to substitute my fries for onion rings in my meal. Waitress tells me she doesn't know if they have onion rings but she'll check. She comes back to say "Sorry but we don't serve onion rings during the day". Weird, but ok, fries it is then. However, my sister got a sampler platter appetizer and lo and behold, out comes onion rings with it. I was completely bewildered. When waitress comes back I asked her how does she get onion rings but I don't? She tells me "oh, we just had a new menu change yesterday. Onion rings can only be served as an appetizer, not a side." I had had about enough at this point and just said ok thanks. Seriously, it seemed like there was some strange conspiracy going on with the staff not wanting me to have rings, and no one could keep their stories straight. Just a completely bizarre dining experience.

Clean and welcoming environment. We had a nice table with a beautiful view of the lake. Service was excellent. All of the food was delicious. And the salad bar was phenomenal!

This was the first time we have eaten here and we had a wonderful experience! The waitress was very friendly and timely. She hustled and sis her job very well! They have a huge salad bar with so many varies of salads...lettuce, pastas, etc. The restaurant was clean and on the late with outdoor seating available. We sat inside at a booth next to the window overlooking the lake. Such a beautiful way to dine! My husband got the ribs and said they were awesome. I had the Chicken Kiev and loved it! I also enjoyed a couple Pina Coladas...I was very happy they made them 🙂. I don't think there was a thing to complain about. We are looking forward to our next visit there!

The salad bar is great, food was tasty and very reasonably priced. Located on the lake and next to a nice beach. Outside seating available. We will come back to try their meatballs on a nicer day. Was cold and windy so they weren't very busy
