I experienced everyone’s nightmare. My 300 gallon tank started a leak with a growing crack- this tank houses $1000’s of Stendker Discus. With only a spare 90 gallon- they all had to go in it. I started calling Custom acrylic tank makers in a panic. Chris from Midwest Customs was the ONLY to call me back. He did so at 8am. He appreciated the emergency, asked appropriate questions, and had a quote to me in a few hours. His quote was so much less than the other “big names” ( that came in over a week later) that I was a bit worried that it may represent a “ cheap build” . I could not have been more mistaken. He also moved my build up the line as an emergency and completed an 8 foot 33” high custom build as well as a metal stand frame in less than 3 weeks. He shipped it Fed Ex freight and it arrived in just days. This tank is beautiful, impeccably built and meets every detail I asked for. I am stunned. He even advised me on what he felt may have led to the failure of my other tank ( built elsewhere) - if you want an excellent tank and you want superior customer service and fair pricing- if you buy elsewhere you are making a mistake. I have had aquariums for 40 years- this is the best I have ever owned. AAA+++++++

They have an impressive shop and more impressive product. I needed a heavy duty steel stand as well as the custom sump, obviously a piece of cake for them.I've had large saltwater aquariums for 18 years and these are easily some of the best products I've seen for custom work.Chris was also very accommodating with some of my ideas they gave me extremely helpful feedback.

Customer service was great. He was very patient with me to get the customized tank and cabinet just right. The quality is fantastic (tank and cabinet). My family and I are very pleased with our new tank. He was very thorough with all of the options that were available.

Pricing is fair and better than most. Craftsmanship is soild. Left 3 stars because, there was one significant and widely visible part of the that was left undone and should have been polished. Communication was great until problems like this occur (no more communication). I might consider doing business again, but please go into meticulous detail of your order. Some things that should be standard or at least discussed/mentioned was not included or mentioned. Some details are not formally covered while ordering.
