Staying here while working across the street as travel CNA. Rooms are clean. The noise level can be quite loud. The office is never open. The manager will meet you there to if you need to pay him. There is a little building where we can cook and do laundry. We can get supplies (clean towels or sheets) when we need them. You can change the sheets and drop the dirty ones in the laundry. There is a Casey's right next door and the post office and grocery store are within walking distance.I paid $1200 a month up front as agreed, and was charged an extra $330 when I left. Still waiting for an itemized invoice. If you are a travel nurse or CNA, look for a short term apartment lease in the area as soon as you decide you are staying.Rooms: Nice, separate bedroom, microwave and small refrigerator.Safety: I walk across the street at night. Nice neighborhood.Walkability: Can easily walk to Casey's, post office, and grocery store.

We arrived yesterday late afternoon and everything was ready for us. Being to let ourselves in without having to go to the office was very convenient. Room was clean & well appointed with a welcome note, treat bags for us both as well as bottled water. Very nice touch!👏Walkability: General Store, Cafe, Tavern all within 2 blocks.

This motel is a great stop for the night and much more affordable than other hotels anywhere nearby. The service was nice, with a sweet handwritten note and some treat baggies but it was overshadowed by the smell of smoke in the bedrooms, smell of urine in the bathrooms, stained towels, and couple of spiders that shared the room with us. That being said, the room was nice and dark and the beds cozy so it wasn't hard to get fully rested. If we stay in the area again I'd be happy to make a stop here for some sleep, but I'd probably choose somewhere nicer for a longer stay.

I arrived at the hotel with really low expectations based on my previous experience at the old Cedar Inn. The hotel is now under new management and is surprisingly wonderful! The upgrades include a refrigerator, microwave, large flat screen TV, and high quality toiletries. The new manager is very friendly and handled a serious "incident" professionally. There is also an outdoor patio area with picnic tables, chairs, a fire pit, BBQ area, and a fully stocked kitchen. I highly recommend Lakes Area Inn and will return next summer!

It was a nice place to stay for a small town. The owners always answered my questions and was nice and accommodating. We had a corner suite on the second floor so not much noises or commotion which was nice. The rooms were clean and you can tell they have been updated. There was a little welcome package which was thoughtful. There were some ants but nothing to be worried about. I liked that the TV had the owners or previous hotel guests log in info for apps like (Disney, Netflix, Hulu etc).It was very hot that days so the air conditioner was only in the bedroom which made it very hard to get any cool air into the living room. Then it made it muggy and smelly (like a wet moldy smell) in the bedroom since the AC was going non stop to keep cool.Overall, a nice place to stay and clean . I would stay there again with my family if needed.

We needed a place to stay while our home was being built. The owners were very accommodating to our situation. It was our home away from home and we were very comfortable. The room was like a little apartment, it was spacious, clean, updated and didn't feel like we were staying in a motel. I would recommend this place to anyone that is passing through the area. Nice, safe small town community.

Adorable inn! Very clean and there were bottles of water along with little snack bags with oreos and chips in them waiting for us on the dresser when we arrived! It was a perfect little surprise after pulling in late after midnight skiing at Andes. Pet friendly! New owners were super nice and we could see the dedication they put into making it a nice stay for everyone. Will absolutely stay again!

Rooms have been updated a couple of years ago. New paint, furniture, mattresses, linens, flooring, lamps etc. place was clean. My only complaint is the light stale smoke smell in the rooms. This place used to be a dump with smoking allowed, but has been renovated... can’t remove the stale smoke smell no matter hard hard to you. I have a sensitive nose so I pick up on it right away... someone else may not notice it. Overall, great Inn in a small town. Casey’s convenience store next door is new. Lake is about a mile down the road.

Cleanliness is my top priority whenever I stay in a hotel and the Lakes Area Inn delivered with a bathtub so clean I took a few baths during my stay. The rooms are on the small side but they have a building with a full kitchen, free washer and dryer (guests provide their own detergent) and a full size fridge and large freezer for guests to use.

We've stayed at all the local hotels. This probably wouldn't be our first choice due to the bed sizes but overall we had a good experience and would stay here again. The room was very clean and newly remodeled with new furniture, bed, fixtures, tile, etc... There was some residual stale smoke smell in our room, likely from prior to the remodel. The ceiling hasn't been repainted so it could be from that. The HVAC unit is obviously old but worked fine- it was just very loud and the AC can't reach the front of the suite room as there is a wall and door between the unit and the sofa sleeper/tv area. We also appreciated the snacks left for us when we checked in.

Things I enjoy about the place:-Updates-Cleanliness-Amenities-PricingThings I don’t care for as much:-Paper thin walls (sleepless nights)-Bed sizesTips: Don’t book through a third party as you may not get the info needed for your stay such as— Making sure to turn the heat on when you get there! They do not do that for you. Unfortunately, paid the price of a sleepless night the first stay as my partner kept stealing the blankets and I didn’t know to turn the heat on until I found the thermostat. Second stay, the people upstairs kept us up all night. Also cause I booked through Priceline, I didn’t get the room number or code sent to me. Luckily someone was there when I called.Overall, it’s clean, and cheaper than most places. Great for the hard-sleeper, a nightmare for the light-sleeper when the place is full.

Great Inn! Absolutely clean rooms with all the necessary requirements near the lake area in a calm and beautiful place. Great staff and run by good people. Probably the best Inn by far in the Starbuck or Glenwood area.I would really recommend this place to anybody looking for a decent place to take rest. I would go there again without a shred of doubt.

Horrible place. Paper thin walls stayed up all night, going to talk to my card company to dispute because of the no sleep and left, went else where!! Also, needs at least a person, called and I think his name was kevin sounded like he just woke up told me nothing we needed to do all we needed to do is pay them for a code to enter the room. Really? Where is the hospitality industry going to an end with no staff at this motel?? Highly recommend go elsewhere with someone working at least!!!! :((

These ppl who own amd run this hotel are the sweetest, nicest, genuine ppl I've ever met at a hotel! They really care about your comfort and want you to be happy! They talk and listen and greet the way ppl should. Like this is where you should be! Plus they are reasonable with their prices and right next to Casey's making it so easy to get food and drinks. Grocery store 2 blks away.

Nicely updated rooms with flat screen TVs, comfy beds, fridge and microwave. They also have a onsite kitchen with a patio area for grilling and fires. Owners are friendly and helpful with all your needs.
