Sweet sweet Mead. When i first pulled in I was taken aback by the kilts, Renaissance Festival style attire, gentleman on a 4 wheeler and overall look of the property. There was a bit of a wait to enter, and I waited at a picnic table. Eventually our card was called and we entered. We were greeted by an energetic owner and passionate crafter of sweet Mead. You have a mask on, put on rubber gloves, can sample 11 different types of Mead and then fill your jugs. They have gallon size bottles, liters, and a 4 pack of smaller bottles or you can bring your own. I would say, i didn't know what to expect and wouldn't call the Renaissance scene, my scene but the owners make this a really great experience. If you have tried mead or haven't, this is a great place to visit. They weren't currently allowing dogs to roam on the property, they will need to stay in your car for now.

Absolutely love their mead. The owners are awesome and very kind, always willing to talk to you about what they do and their history. They have so many more flavors of mead than at Ren Fest, and each one is delicious as always. Thank you guys for making such a great mead!!!

Best mead in the area by a very large margin. They've got a variety of flavors that are actually all very different (not just the same variety of bitters). Personally I love the sweet mead so I can appreciate that they have a variety of sweet ones, and you can also fill your own bottle so feel free to mix and match to get your desired taste!

Mmm mmm good!! Stopped by the store last week to get our fix. The most delicious mead and friendliest owners. We had a great experience trying all of the different flavors and chatting with the owners, we’ll be back! Sipping on a glass of the Odin as I type this. Once again, mmm mmm good! Cheers!

If you want mead. Try this mead and only this mead! The owner, Matt, knows eveyrhting there is to know about mead, and he loves to answer questions. You can enjoy the mead and learn about his business that he puts a lot of passion into. Plus, there's a whole variety of flavors to try. There's a flavor (or two, or three, or a million) for everyone! I highly recommend this mead.

Drove nearly an hour to pick up some tasty mead I had first tasted at RenFest. Only to find out I'd left my wallet at home. Jessie kindly gave me a liter - WHO DOES THAT?? What nice folks!! I did return the next day to repay them and buy some more to tide me over till my next road trip to Cambridge. Will definitely be back, with my wallet!

Best mead I have ever tried. I've tried 5 different varieties besides this brand and this is by far the best kind I've ever had! They have free taste testing when they are open. You can either bring your own containers or they have some for purchase (glass bottles) or free plastic gallon bottles. Prices are amazingly reasonable. They do not however have food on the premise so plan to find some delicious food elsewhere afterwards.

Mead! Are you looking for mead? These guys have it! Many flavors, great prices, discounts if you bring your own jug to fill. Personable staff, fun to just talk with, and a big fluffy puppy that wants to help you with your mead.

We finally made it here to get a supply of mead! They had music playing and the chilli contest was just finishing up when we got there. There was also a tent selling Celtic items. Not sure if they have those things on other weekends, but we will certainly be back for more before the year end sale is over! The place was busy and the mead stopped flowing for a bit, but it was quickly fixed! Bring your own containers for great savings on some great mead.

Traditionally the mead brewer for the MN Renaissance Festival, best mead in the region that I have had. Tasting room has reopened so you can try the different flavors usually at least 12 or more. With a lower alcohol content, J Birds mead is usually on the sweeter side. Favorites include Egypt'n, Raspberry, Forest Fruit, Cottage, and Odin.
