I can't believe they haven't shut this store down. Shelves are empty and have been for year's. I have talked to corporate many times. They give me a gift card. FOR WHAT? You're shelves are EMPTY!!! I wish a new business would come into Spring Valley so I can shop on town again. We use to spend over $1000 a month at this store. NO MORE!!!!!!!!

Nice low-budget but good quality items here. Bought a small 3 shelf ladder shelf for $28. I love it! I also bought some cute baskets, a couple of outfits for my Grandkids, and a few other things. It was fun shopping at Dollar General while visiting my daughter-n-law in Spring Valley, MN.

We like that it's 15 min away versus Walmart that is 45 min away. comparable prices and good selections. the staff is either very friendly or not helpful at all so it's a toss up if you need assistance. We come here a few times a month. we appreciate that the store is clean and new

Employees not wearing masked properly and not engaging customers at all. One employee had a pink tank stop with stains on it and no name tag while behind the counter. Dollar general must not care about Covid responsibilities at all as both employees on duty had there mask below there nose and made no attempt to correct it

Since the change of staff this place has gotten better. It stays well stocked and the staff smile alot more. Paula Meyer you are amazing. She always has a smile on her face and is always super friendly.

Horrible dirty store!!Nothing is ever stocked!!!!The people that work there are unfriendly and lazy and dress horrible!!! They should have to have uniform and be cleaner in looks!!Horrible customer service!!!!!They are outside smoking a lot!!When you call the store the line is busy 24/7!!Get new employees that will work and care about the store and the customers!!!Very sickening!!Cooperate needs to come in ASAP!!!!!

I visited Dollar General in Spring Valley MN on 10/11/20 at 10 AM and a staff member, Theresa was not wearing a mask and when I said to her as I pointed to MY face covering, "Aren't these required?", she turned & walked away. The other staff member on duty on 10/11/20, Dennise wore her mask on her chin. I went into the store on 10/14/20 @ 4PM & observed There's a @ the check out taking care of customers again with NO mask or face covering. Today I once again went into the Spring Valley Dollar General store to return an item & once again, Theresa was at the check out without a mask. I have heard several people say that no one wears a mask or face covering at that store even though a sign posted on the entrance door stats that face coverings are required. As I left the store today, 10/16/20 @ 2:30PM, I noticed a gentleman, a little older than me, struggling to get his mask on before he entered the store. In light of this I will not be shopping at the Dollar General in Spring Valley MN in the future dispute the fact that I want to shop local in my home town. Joan Kujath.

Cheap store but with hidden costs. Wanted to charge a fee for cash back purchases. Prices on some items were less expensive @ the Grocery store down the road and the gas station. Neither of them charged this fee as well.

Good store to visit. Bathrooms are in the back however I do not recommend calling these guys unless you've been here before (numbers are usually on recipts) . The Google number is incorrect. Tried calling but my phone said the number had been disconnected.

Not a bad place, but better prices are generally had in Rochester. It seems corporate has still yet to authorize a fix of the air conditioning, so it's always hot and muggy inside.

The mask mandate is good. I suggest a small table with hand sanitizer at the entrance door also for customers to use as they enter..... and exit. Thanks

Always clustered. I chose 4 items that were marked 25%off and they told me they weren't. I feel they should have honored the price.

Decent deals for a small town, though sometimes they are out of stock on regularly purchased items. They need to work on their product ordering and back stock.

Staff is dismissive and acts like you’re bothering them. Sometimes they have stuff, most of the time they don’t. 3 to 5 days... like a geographical oddity

There customer service is shity the new manager there shouldn't have a customer service job at all I was a manager for years and would never treat a customer like that it's ether by her or two other employees every time I go in there she is snotty and rude if corporate really cared about there customer experience then they need to get rid of her and and the other guy that's about to me a manager at the hayfield dollar general that there opening up pathetic
