A gentleman named Joey helped us today and he was extremely helpful and polite. He needed assistance getting something down from the top of the shelves for us and I could not believe how rude his coworkers were being to him when he was just asking them for help. Really rubbed us the wrong way.

Mark G in the rental center was extremely helpful through the rental process. He even walked into the store with us to help us choose the right item to fit our rental, and asked the right questions about our rental to make sure we were getting the right equipment needed for the job. Thanks Mark!

Very rude employee in paint dept said "how long ya gonna be cause I need to close this aisle". Put down what I was gonna buy and walked out. Apparently stocking items is more important than selling them at this store.

I go to Shakopee location because the sales associates are super helpful! I would like recognized JR the flooring person who helped me purchase my floor alone with Rylee who checked me out and was so patient and did not rushed me bc the store was close to closing time. Rylee did an excellent job on making sure I get the price I was quoted and did the 24 month’s finance for me. I’m going to be shopping here even though I have HD next to my home.Again Thank you for all your help JR and Rylee!!!

Ordered same day delivery for a needed plumbing part I couldn't leave to get with kids at home and wife not feeling well. Part came but was missing a portion. Customer Service said the only resolution was to return and exchange at the store. The part missing was a ~$2 Cleanout plug. So apparently because whoever prepped the order didn't actually check what was or was not there I had to figure out how to drive to Shakopee to solve this. Got no apologies at the customer service desk. Was told I'd get help from the floor person familiar with plumbing, that was another wait, and then he handed me a part that was supposed to come with a plug that didn't have one it it. I pointed it out and he laughed and got one. Hilarious.I will go out of my way, even in a pinch, now to go somewhere else. Because, hey, in a pinch I'll probably wind up having to do more work because Home Depot can't be bothered and won't apologize for THEIR mistakes.Extremely disappointing customer experience. Haven't had this kind of issue at Burnsville.

Dumbest experience I've ever hadI was directed to a young man about floor diffusers and he just pointed in a general direction and gave no details.I asked him if he could take me there and show me and he said hes busy with a customer already (he was holding a pallet to look busy and was talking to someone on his personal cell phone)I grabbed the pallet and set it aside and said" now youre done, show me where the product is"He said im being rude and etc... Im tired of going to stores and 16 year old kids tell 40 year old me theyre too busy to help me find a product while theyre busy on their personal cell phone at work.He is about 6'4" clean cut young man, slim. Ill get his name next time and make a formal complaint.He maybe has a speech impediment?He seemed fine other than his ill attitude.I just wanted to find the product and leave the store, not have some ego trip with a 16 year old kid who'd rather be on his personal cell phone than do work.This happened today 12/5/23 7pm

I have had the pleasure of being a consistent customer at this local Home Depot, and I must say, their customer service is second to none. A special shoutout to Dave, who always greets me with a welcoming smile and an energizing "Good morning, boss!" It is this type of individual attention and friendly interaction that makes every visit worthwhile.However, where I find this Home Depot falling short is on their inventory control. I appreciate the diverse selection of products offered, but there have been a number of instances where certain items I need are not available. I've noticed that these items are in stock at other local Home Depot locations, which leads me to wonder why our local store's shelves aren't consistently stocked with these items.Furthermore, it's puzzling to me that I can have these items shipped for free to our local store from other Home Depots, but the items are not regularly stocked in-store. This additional step of having to ship to store, albeit free, adds unnecessary time to my projects and can be somewhat inconvenient.While I understand that inventory management can be complex, given the size and variety of products in a Home Depot, I believe there is room for improvement in ensuring the regular availability of products. The in-store experience would greatly benefit from a more streamlined inventory control system.Despite this, I remain a loyal customer because of the exceptional service I receive, especially from staff like Dave. I hope my feedback will be taken into consideration and lead to even better shopping experiences in the future.Overall, I highly recommend this Home Depot for its outstanding service, and with some adjustments in inventory management, I'm confident it will be the go-to place for all home improvement needs.

Seems like a good place to go for items for your home. Staff in the carpet n blinds n paint are very helpful. Tools and wood are self explanatory

Open for shopping. Curbside, in-store, or on-line order pickup at the Customer service desk.On-line service ordering works well. Just be careful if you are ordering stock lumber, whoever is picking out the pieces will not be as selective as you...the piece with the excessive knots, or slightly bowed may selected.Other than that no issues with service.

Back at the beginning of July we went to go purchase a lawn mower. They didn't have the one we wanted in stock, which seems to be a common issue for this store. So their team helped us order it online & ship to store. Well ... 3 brand new mowers later, they were all broken within shipment.Each time we went in to return the mowers - Kim was there & she was AMAZING. Understanding, called Home Depot online & got us a discount, plus always had a smile on her face.The 3rd time we went in to return the 3rd mower... we got Paul (customer service manager) involved to help purchase another brand to see if that would help with the shipment issues. Throughout the whole conversation he was condescending, sarcastic & just making rude comments under his breathe. I mean we've already had to drive in 3 times... and are being patient. The least he can do, especially as a manager is practice the same skills has his team members.If it wasn't for the amazing Kim, my review would be a 1 star. Thank you Kim for practicing fantastic customer service & all of your help.

I regularly shop here (2-3 times a week), and the level of service is incredibly low. Finding help is difficult, finding help who knows what they're looking for is even more difficult, and finding anyone who cares to help is hard as well.The checkout process is a nightmare every time because they expect you to checkout on your own, and yet they double check you on everything and it takes much longer than just one person doing it. Inevitably, every time someone helps me with scanning my items, they scan wrong items. I've had $126.56 of extra items charged from this store over the past 7 months because they've double scanned items or scanned the wrong items. This is my bad because I should double check them, but that adds up.They're online checkout is very frustrating. For example, I needed some paneling and saw online that it was "free same day pickup in store." So I went in, and it was only same day if you ordered it in the morning. I went back online, and it was almost 2 weeks out. I wish they would show you in simpler terms for my slow thinking brain whether it was in store, or not in store. I stop in so many times to pickup something that says I can pickup today and it's online only.

What I really like about the home Depot website is they give you the location of the product you are looking for, the aisle and bay # so it is easy to find. I can plan ahead, make the trip efficient and not waste time wandering around. Plus if I need to send someone, I can give them the aisle and bay # for them to find something quickly. Smart move home Depot.

Went in to get ideas about a patio in the stones. After doing research and getting ideas. I decided to wait and find what I want online. Meanwhile, while I was there. I needed to get materials to build a screen.There were two gentlemen in the aisle and I asked them where the screens were. I told him I needed to build one. He says it's down there at the end good luck to you if you feel you can do it yourself. Thought that was rather odd, he was training another young associate, that would have been a great training opportunity to show customer service. I found what I needed on my own.

This week I visited Home Depot looking to buy a new grill. Jose stopped and helped me. He was so kind and so very helpful. He went to the back and was able to find the grill I wanted which was already assembled. He helped me get it to my truck and loaded it for me. Thank you Jose for your help.

They can't even cut a key. I've had to show staff how to use the key hero machine at other locations also. At this location the lack of give A F was unbelievable. I was about to place a large order of flooring during the same visit but lost all interest un giving a penny to this business. As a business owner myself this is a sad sight. The lady tending the self check out on 9-6 evening shouldn't have that position.

What a horrible experience with the HD app, curbside pick-up, and the MOD. HD texted me saying my order was ready. I responded saying I was on my way, as instructed. I checked into spot #1 and was the only car in the four pick-up locations. The app said they would be out soon. Ten minutes later, an HD associate came out, looked at my car and went back into the store. Another car arrived. Same associate came out, looked at their car, and went back into the store. Came out with car #2's order. I hopped out and told the associate I had been waiting almost 15 minutes. He confirmed my order by name on his device and disappeared into the store. He later came out with a second associate and they instructed me to pull into the pro pick-up area. Five minutes later associate #2 came out with associate #3, still without my order, to explain what was going on. Associate #3 finally said he would get my order and Associate #2 said she would get the MOD. MOD came out, never apologized for their horrible service, told me he was giving me 50% off and then told me I put in the wrong color on my van in the app! I said "Excuse me? I've been waiting 25 minutes for a curbside pickup. Do you want me to do a VIN# check to confirm the color of my van?" He said he wasn't arguing about the color of the van. I said "You just did!" I worked in retail for 12 years - many of those during very difficult times to find workers. I get it. But the MOD at the Shakopee Home Depot, the mobile app, and curbside pick-up at HD are a joke.

Came to paint department and no one was to be found. Got someone to page for assistance 3 times…. 16 minutes later this young guy named Alex came and was very patient and helpful and knowledgeable. He said his shift was over 5 hours ago. I told him how much we appreciate him working tonight. Because there was 3 more customers after me.Alex deserves a nice raise and acknowledgement from his management. He went far and above for other customers while I was waiting for my paint to be done.

I've recently had to make a few large purchases in series, all occasions were very positive. Employees were great at helping load my large toolbox, water heater, Pallet of bricks/concrete/gravel, and today a 61" mobile workbench. In most cases I needed to rent their truck and that was super convenient. I should add that 10% off mailers were involved in most of these larger purchases. I swear their marketing algorithms knows they can get me with their coupon a lot!
