Gas station selection at a premium price for the convenience of not having to run to the city for necessities. Service is hit and miss. Sometimes the cashier is polite, sometimes they make you feel like you're inconveniencing them. I typically will shop here first before running to the city for 1 item or before running to the chain gas station because I want to support quaint, local, small businesses. I certainly understand the elevated prices but a courteous and polite demeanor would go a long way.

Ever since we moved here in 1995, the Scandia Market has been a dependable place to go for groceries, household items, over-the-counter medicine, and ice. It is so nice to have a market less than 5 minutes from our home. The convenience of being able to get something - especially if we run out while making a recipe - is invaluable. The cashiers are consistently upbeat and make visiting the store a pleasant one each time.

Had the privelage of meeting Dana the manager when we went to visit for the first time. My wife and I bought a house in Scandia so we went to check out the local shops and are VERY happy this market exists. Dana is a wonderful person and very passionate about what she does. Made us feel so at home in our soon to be new town. Also having been a chef for 10 years, she makes some great salads, bought the steakhouse potato salad... delicious!!

Cant beat this convince in Scandia! The staff are some of the nicest you'll meet, and they have quite a bit included premade fresh foods/sandwiches, AND ice cream to order! During the summer they'll put out fresh water on a small table for thirsty passersby. Support this locally owned business!

Well it was a very exciting experience. I was on my way home to White Bear Lake from Lindstrom. I decided to camp out at the Scandia Market when the sky above me became very angry, turned very dark, lightning all around me, and strong winds. My half hour at the store was a life saver. Large tree limbs blocked the intersection, hale covered the ground like snow, and water came off the roof like Niagra Falls. But while I was there I discovered the best lookin fresh meat that I have seen in a long time. This store will become my regular stop on my way to the lake. Those rib-eye steaks WOW. Again thanks for welcoming me to a place of safety during a very threatening storm!

This is a nice little place and seems to have every standard grocery item you might need. I'm not sure where they find the young people who run the register but based on how polite and friendly they are it's probably the 1950s.

Watch out for expired food. Grumpy service. High prices. Don't ask deli to make you anything that is fresh.

Quaint little digs. Not a whole lot of selection but they do have a few "high end" options. Prices are a bit elevated but only compared to a Wal-Mart or Aldi
