I went in there for the first time today and was greeted by the owner! What a cool guy! Insanely fair prices and the coolest reptiles, in stock and on display! 100% reccomend going somewhere local, and these guys made my trip worth it! Thanks so much!If you're looking for reptile feeders such as crickets and feeder mice, they have them!!

My fiance and I are deep into the pet keeping hobby and always try to check out Minnesotan pet shops. We drove out here today to check out Fizards and really enjoyed our visit. I'm excited to see them grow as a store and will definitely plan to visit again! The owner was extremely nice.

Stuff all over the floor and all the fish tanks were very dirty and a lot of the fish showed signs of disease. A lot of the reptiles weren’t in proper enclosures or had the proper requirements for a happy life. Overall I was very excited to come check out then place because of all the great reviews even from two months ago but it seems like it must’ve gone of the deep end recently and not in a good way at all. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but as a huge animal guy it makes me very sad to see. I probably won’t be coming back unless they really fix the issues that are going on.

whenever possible we get our crickets for here for our bearded dragon. it is within walking distance and my kids and i love walking up there and seeing lucid! it is so nice to have become somewhat regulars, we walk in and the gentleman knows we need crickets! i love going there because it is a small business and i would rather support them than a large corporation. we got our baby bearded dragon from petsmart, and didnt get a whole lot of information to go with it, and they are so knowlegable and i trust their opinion more because i know they are actual pet owners and care about the health of their animals rather than just making a profit.

Quality on a personal level. What a nice change from the big box stores and There sick weak fish. Meany locally raised not stressed out from shipping all new 🐟 should be quarantined no matter where bought but these fish if I didn't quarantine would feel safe dropping them in my home tanks.give them a try and see what there highly noligable people have to offer.Quality 🐟 and products with only your success and enjoyment in mind. They really take the time to get you started off the right way. Quality products healthy viberant 🐟 and reptiles.can't say enough there my new 🐟 store.

Since Google is going to keep asking!$#@%!!! (3 days in a row) I was just going to pass on this review. Keep in mind Google has me agitated at the moment and that puts me into NO FILTER mode!We were sent down there by an associate from petsmart. She really laid on the entire resume of the place like she was a stock holder. We went there looking for fish. Other customers were doing the same, possibly sent from the other location as well. While the employee who greeted us at the door filled us in about a recent break-in and the till being robbed he pointed us to the fish and went back to swooning the young gal I thought to be a customer but later found out she was a friend of the owners. So the big guy/employee had told me the robbery had taken place "a week ago" ... we peered through what looked like a years worth of green algae to see if there was anything alive in some of the tanks. Not much to choose from, very little for sale. Several tanks with signs of life were specifically marked "Not for sale." So as we realized we were sent on a wild goose chase, we might as well tour the rest of the zoo. Mostly lizards, including a small alligator that the employee was now captivating the pretty young lady/friend of owner with. From the look in his eyes I had to wonder if someone hadn't walked off with the register during one of her last visits because at this point he was oblivious to the other customers coming through the door. You could see the pheromones seeping from his pores. Most of the lizards were also marked "not for sale." Will I go back? If I'm in the area, I might bring a lawn chair and a few beers just for entertainment. Hey it was a free unguided tour, some very cool pets definitely. The fish that you could see through the glass that weren't for sale would be awesome entertainment at feeding time. I'm not sure what this place is like when they are on top of things, or not trying to get on top of the "owners friend," but I believe this place could be knocking it out of the park with the sales team from petsmart and some inventory that customers can see and actually purchase.

Drove all the way from Merrifield and heard great things about this place. As soon as I walked in the door it smelled like cigarettes and it spelled very musty. The fish tanks are not well kept and some of the animals are in the improper enclosures for what they need to be in. They had tons of fish and all the tanks were disgusting and you can’t get over the smell of the place. The lady who was there was very nice and welcoming and took out some of the animals, but overall I wouldn’t not recommend. I was really excited to go there with my family, but we all agreed to not come back. If you get an animal expect them to be aggressive and diseased. Take caution when you are thinking about buying a pet here.

Fizards is just one of those small businesses that you go in one time and feel like your part of the family. The owner knows what hes talking about and the inventory is always changing. Its fun to visit just for the kids to see whats new in the shop.Its the kind of business you feel good about supporting. Its not the same impersonal service you get at petco or petsmart. If you just want to know what it takes to care for a particular pet or browse a selection of fish, lizards, snakes, and other critters thats the place you wanna go.He will make sure you are prepared with everything you need to care for your pet. He can order items or pets that you are looking for. Why visit the franchise when you can be supporting a neighbor or member of the community.

Truly a lovely place, I would much rather support a local business that cares for its animals and its customers than a large corporation. The fish and reptiles all looked happy and healthy and if you need help or advice they are willing to provide! Can't wait to go back!

Aj and Amanda are super awesome, very knowledgeable pet-lovers, and they run a great store.They're still getting everything up and running, so their selection is a little limited, but the store has excellent potential, and if there's anything they don't have, they can usually get it for you.It's 100% worth supporting this store and these great people. The owner is very helpful with answering questions about aquariums and reptiles. He makes sure you understand the answers for your questions. He recommends what works for the type of fish or reptiles you have or plan on having. He won't sell you something just to make a sale if the animal could get sick right away. For example my fish tank became infected with Ich and my fish died from it. I went to Fizards to get new fish and he didn't want to sell me fish that day for the possibility of there still being some Ich in my aquarium. He gave instructions on how long to wait before getting new fish. He also gave ideas on what fish would do well and what other stuff I can do to keep the fish healthy in the tank. I plan on going back there for all fish advice and purchases.

Purchased some Cori cats, tetras and a beta and put them in an established 42 gallon planted tank and most of them have died and they wiped out almost every original fish in the tank. I should have known when he said he’d give me a couple extra tetras because they are sensitive...no they were sick. He put all the fish from different tanks in one bag. I have learned my lesson and will continue to make the drive to A World Of Fish in the Cities.

According to the owners it has been going down hill since covid pandemic started but hoping to get back in business. They seem like a very good business even tho it looks pretty empty and looks like the fish might be unwell also one of their Reptiles looks like it is malnourished but other then that they seem like they are a pretty good business and place to go. I wouldnt be to harsh on rating them right now cause covid times got everyone and their business pretty low in the gutter and dumps so i would reccomend going to this place when covid ends for sure tho.

This place had what I needed, and for that I give them a five star rating. I would definitely recommend them over something like that petco down west of the Crossroads Center. I wasn't able to make a full sweep of thier inventory but they seemed to have plenty of fish and lizards, such as bearded dragons and chameleons. I believe they also might have rats? I would recommend checking out thier website and Facebook.

I love this place! I discovered them from my friend who’s family owns the place! i never go anywhere else now for animals because the animals they have seem to be way healthier than pets i’ve gotten from chain stores. Love the owners and how helpful they are! i definitely recommend!

Only place I go to get frozen feeder mice for my ball python. AJ and Amanda are also great and very knowledgeable about the animals they sell. They also breed some of their own reptiles.

So I read alot of the 1 star reviews and understand.1. The guy was on his phone the hole time2. It was hot inside3. Fish tanks were really nasty. It would only take you 2 hours to clean all of them and then 1 hour to up keep. You open late and close early so you should have time to clean them3. No decor and no cages or anything4. Only thing they sell is pets and foodAfter I left the guy walked out and started smoking right infron of the front door. This was poor place. The gater needs a bigger set up. Ke can't fit his hole body in the water you got set up and they are swimmers.

They actually had the animals I was looking for, unlike the large retail stores. The shrimp I got were in great health and have survived long enough that if they die now, its my fault. Customer service was also excellent.

A true treasure for exotic pet lovers, nestled in downtown Sauk Rapids as a hidden gem of fish, reptiles, and more! AJ helped my daughter and me learn about Leopard Geckos - their habitats and care...as we will be adopting one in late March. We are taking our time to really learn about this amazing critter and AJ is super helpful and knowledgeable. A very positive and upbeat person, he knows his stuff! Thank you AJ and Fizards!!! This place was great!! I went in and she was sold of bearded dragon babies but she was able to figure one out for me and I went home in love with my baby Ziggy. I highly recommend this place. Great people!!!

The girl who was there was very nice but this place looks very uncared for. The tanks are dirty, the place in general is a mess. Would never buy a fish from there. That place needs a complete overhaul.
