Great meats, I'll give them that. (At a fair price)Produce is near rotten half the time, and over priced in my opinion.Prices are high.$13 for a bag of apples.Box dinners are generally twice what you pay elsewhere.I do appreciate having a grocery store in the area, but it could stand to improve in man6 areas.Staff is always friendly, and service is quality.

Chris' Food is a ripoff. They know they have your business because we're in a food desert here. They don't even have generic brands in most sections of the store! Prices are inflated. Very little for organic, and almost no vegan food. They said they tried it once and nobody bought it.

Best grocery store in the state. Great selection of meat. Very organized. Fresh and tasty deli. Always friendly and helpful staff. Never have to wait in line for more than a couple minutes. The cashiers run to open a new register if people are waiting. Great job of carrying the groceries to your car. This is how good business is always conducted.

We stay in Hinckley hotels 2-3 times a year and find the area to be a culinary desert. Imagine our happiness when we discovered Chris’ market, with its deli and Subway. During our last stay in Hinckley, we ate at Chris’ for three meals. We also love the market and the employees are amazingly friendly and hard working. I love this store!

Use to be a great store but in the last few months I've had a hard time trying to find simple products when I'm shopping. Seems like the shelves are getting bare of certain items more and more, fresh produce isn't looking all that fresh anymore, when I'm paying $5.99 for a head of lettuce I don't really like digging through soggy, discolored, rotten and moldy lettuce to see if there's a fresh head. I've been in there for rice noodles 5 times in 3 weeks and nothing. Sale items go extremely fast so by Friday there's usually nothing left on the shelf. Several times I've come to buy milk and there's never milk available, never any white bread available simplethings but when you plan your weekly trip to the store and get there and nothing's available it's a big inconvenience for someone with health issuesEdit made 11/17/2023Went to the customer service counter at 3:45 pm 3 different employees seen me and no one offered me assistance or called for someone else to assist me. At 4:05 pm I finally left without being helped after I listened to the cashier call for carry out and a second cashier ( as she looked over at me numerous times and never once called for service counter help) and I personally asked a female coming out of the office with a box for help and I was told she didn't work there she was only helping someone else. I watched as a male manager walked past me twice loading boxing of food into his burgundy pickup truck outside and into then office I'm guessing for paperwork without asking if I needed help. The customer service is horrible. Sure glad I wasn't anyone important and I didn't have anything of importance to take care of 🤬🤦. It would be nice if we had another store to go to for groceries as an options to get better prices, more variety, take care of some of our other needs instead of depending on a store that doesn't appreciate it's customer's and the business they bring in.11/18/23Was informed by the cashier that you need to go to the check out and they will assist you with items from behind the service counter. Then she showed me a sign that was turned around and not visible for all to see. Well thank you for making me aware, it would have been really nice if someone would have just taken 2 minutes out of there time the day before and made me aware of this or maybe make the sign visible for all to see since it's a bother to interact with customers especially when 2 walked past me leaving the office and NEVER knowledged me or mentioned the sign. A little kindness goes a long way.......

This is a better grocery store than I’m used to in the Cities! Huge selection. Big deli area, a subway, even a Fresh Salad Robot machine. I took a photo of all the awards they’ve won.

Customer service is unparalleled! If you aren't local, enjoy it. Such a great spot with full service grocery, deli, bakery, butcher, floral, gift, subway, gas, the list goes on. Good rotation of natural and organic produce alike, higher quality meats and everything you need. They do have good specials also if you follow them.

Always good service here, the employees go above and beyond when I’m in the store. Today an older gentleman loaded up a carry out cart for my groceries and loaded them into my trunk for me. I didn’t even ask! Having just moved from central MN I can say I do prefer this store over any other hometown stores in the area. Good job & thank you Chris’ food center :)

this one star is specifically for the meat department. fresh Amish Farm chicken? I brought it home to cook for dinner and it was frozen. frozen isn't fresh.....and your beef is 50% red dye. the stir fry meat is old sliced steak you redye red. and for the prices I am actually appalled.

Deli is unorganized waited in a line for quite awhile only to have another worker join and helped another person that was off to the side No who’s next? U can see the line, why would you help someone who's clearly not in line? I left

I love this store. The free coffee they have is better than the coffee at the gas station on the other side of town. The produce is really fresh and the deals aren't too bad. Staff is friendly and they even offer carry out. The gas station side sells both taxed and dyed fuel.

I have shopped here for years and been very pleased. There's always a wide variety of produce including a weekly special on fruit, a good bakery and deli section, and lots of other bargains. And Kudos to their staff for keeping the place running during the pandemic!

The "sale items" are great. However, I feel it is over priced on many items. Produce section, I've had record breaking bad luck on picking quality fruits, and veggies. The staff such as bag boys, and clerks, are extremely nice. It's a pretty good grocery store, IF you know how much other stores offer the same item for. It is pretty clean and organized.

I love this grocery store. The meat department has an excellent selection of specialty brats, meat sticks, and summer sausage. The deli always has a weekday lunch special and hot, prepared food. There are also clean, modern bathrooms. Best grocery store for 40 miles in any direction.

The store is always clean and organized. It's odd I know, but I like it when the cans etc have all the labels facing forward. You can look down the aisle and it looks neat and organized. It makes me feel like everything related to the store is quality. I have one complaint, the milk (Stone Creek Dairy) always has a funny taste. I have purchased this brand multiple times and it's always the same. Therefore I don't buy it anymore. Lastly, I wish the prices were lower. I have to purchase the bulk of my groceries at Walmart. But I buy most meat and produce at Chris'.

This is one of my favorite grocery stores in the area, produce is always great and the selection is pretty wide. The price points are decent, they always have sales running. Meat selection is decent, but if there's a holiday and u want a better selection you should get there early as it goes quick. They have baggers and they carry your groceries out for u. They also have a gas station and car wash on site, as well as a subway and a great deli and salad bar aldo.

Intentionally stopped here for gas and a car wash. Filled up and paid inside to get the discount on the car wash. I was informed that the car wash was broken. I suggested that they put a sign on the pump indicating that the car wash was closed and the clerk just ignored me saying there was nothing that she could do. Yes there is, go put a simple sign on your gas pumps saying car wash out of order.

Fair selection of groceries. Prices higher than places like Wal-Mart, but mostly reasonable. Clean. Friendly associates.They also have a gas station with all the amenities of a quick stop gas station, a deli, subway, and booths to enjoy your sub or deli purchases. (Deli has good chicken!)

Really good meat department, their summer sausage and meat sticks are made in house . Awesome verity, tried the cranberry meat sticks and the wild rice meat sticks, very good! Will definitely go back for those! They also will make venison summer sausage for you providing you supply the venison.

An excellent convenient business with all you basic food needs, and even some specialty items, such as cheeses and Gluten Free items. I enjoy eating at their Subway restaurant, and use their fuel facility most frequently. A wonderful oasis for the people of rural America.

Great local grocery store with the kind of small town courtesy you'd expect. A full deli, lunch menu and broasted chicken dinners that you will definitely go back for! Staff bags up your groceries, wheels them out to your car and even loads them up for you. The prices are reasonable and if they don't have what you're looking for, they will order it so its there the next time you shop. The owners are involved in the community and very generous and caring. When my son passed away, they sent food and beverages to my house for my children and the many family members who came from all over Minnesota. A kind and thoughtful effort to help our family and I will always be grateful for Ms. Thorvig.

I may not always like the pricing I have to pay for my small town store but I love everybody in it. So whether you don't about the cashiers who know your name or the deli that sees you coming and asks the regular or something different or our own Subway that has learned to make my perfect surf and turf sandwich. But my favorite part of Chris's is my butchers they see me and they know when I'm looking for or where to direct me and that is what makes my store so great in my small little town. For Christmas I'd love to send them about 500,000 people just to drive the prices down for a quarter lol I guess we'll see what happens.

We stopped once on a Friday a few years ago and they were carving prime rib. It was great. Now we stop when ever we are in the area but always if we are around on Friday. 9.99 a lb. for Prime Rib ! Heck yeah !

Rude employees who treat you like dirt. Ordered Subway there the 2 boys and the girl did not smile or say hello just mad looking faces for some reason. The girl rang up my sodas but never gave me cups for them. I got dill pickle chips in the store and I asked the clerk where they were and at the top of her voice she said "what" so at the top of my voice I said "DILL PICKLE CHIPS!!!!" no hello or thank you from that monster. The only one who was nice and greeted me was the girl in the front by subway. She was the only friendly one there! Horrible experience I will never go back.

What a great store! We went in to pick up a few items we forgot and were truly impressed. We ended up having a terrific chicken dinner from the deli. Clean, courteous and great selection.
