Such a homie environment. My family has been coming here for years and will continue. I asked if she knew about my dog and why he was the way he was. She gave me details on different food that was a better deal and has all the same ingredients he enjoys! She continues to help me find a dog kennel and even the right bowl for him. I have been a vocal fan of Fluegel's in Rosemount to my neighbors and friends for the past 26 years. You see, I own chickens. It's a backyard flock, which was started when my son brought home 6 small chicks from his kindergarten classroom. "They need a nice home", he told me, looking up at me with those kindergarten eyes and holding the box in his little hands. How could I say no to that?So, with that, my adoration and appreciation of Fluegel's officially started.Located in downtown Rosemount, the Fluegel's elevators are a Rosemount landmark. In addition, in the past 5 years, they built a new, much larger building, housing cat, dog, poultry, bird and all form of other farm animal equipment and foods. Yep, I've spent a lot of money on chicken food through the years! hahaThey have "pet cats" that roam throughout the store, as well as lots of high-quality pet foods and equipment to purchase. I also heat my home principally with wood, so I appreciate Fluegel's split wood offered for sale (delivered with extra fee). It's not the least expensive wood available in my area, but it is well seasoned, ready to burn. Split and sized perfectly.Of course, it goes without saying that the staff of Fluegel's are a wonderful mix of seasoned veterans as well as post-high school grads; all of them are wonderfully knowledgeable, and eager to help me out with answers to my many chicken questions. They are great and helpful workers!So yes, Fluegel's absolutely deserves my 5-star rating. There is ample parking in a dedicated lot, and they can assist with loading up your vehicle with heavy bags of chicken food, hay bales, or whatever dog food you need. I look forward to buying more chicks from them this Spring! The coop is ready. Now all we need is... Springtime.

Shop there regularly, especially their bird and critter food. The dog treats are also on the list. I bought potting soil and found it full of mildew gnats that spread to all of my other plants. UGH. Very disappointing. I am older on fixed income and have to be careful on spending. I see many things but it is so expensive. I Made a comment to one of the women that there were many temptations, and she sarcastically responded "isn't that the point". But they are rarely very friendly or welcoming. Maybe they are friendly to selective customers...

I buy my Guinea pig hay here. Best price in town. They also have a cat petting area where you can sit and chill with some friendly felines. There’s also a metal sculpture out front that is a replica full sized jeep with a mouse standing on top holding a machine gun. I don’t quite understand it and at this point I’m too afraid to ask. Anyways, come for the quality farm and feed supplies, stay for the cat purrs and the rodent mercenaries.

Hadn't been there for years. No idea why not. Recently e-mailed store with inquiry about kitty litter sold there. Was quickly helped by a mystery staff member, who, by the way, went the extra mile to take pictures of options I may be interested in. Visited store today, finally. Was assisted by mystery employee, James, who remembered our e-mails. He was awesome in assisting me in-store, as well. Got a great new brand, as well as a few other things. Loved my experience & will most definitely become a regular customer. Thanks, James & Fluegel's!!

Really appreciate all staff are still wearing masks after state mandate lifted. There are still plenty of individuals who are not fully vaccinated yet.Customer service is always wonderful. Had a few too many items for me to carry this time and cashier offered to help load them into car. Store is always very clean and organized. Would recommend over and over.

Just a wonderful place to go for your animal needs!Whether it's a furry friend inside your house, something bigger or more wild, or feeding birds & squirrels, this is your one stop shop! Great quality on their bird food and the prices cannot be beat!They also have a sizeable selection for indoor pet food and supplies at good prices.Definitely worth a stop for your needs.... The store is well stocked but the two cashier ladies are not friendly at all. Every time I have to go get horse feed I cringe. They have such a bad attitude that it makes me not want to give them business. They act like I am bothering them. There's no friendliness or small talk. Fluegel's is the closest feed store to my work though so I will have to struggle through. The guys at the loading dock are super nice though. 😊

The workers here are so friendly. I have been here many times to get pumpkins for Halloween, outdoor gifts for family, and just to visit the rescue cats. They have everything you would need from a regular pet store (except prescription diets) and more. They have reptiles, cats, hamsters and rabbits for sale. Plus supplies for horses and dogs. It's a one stop shop for everything.

I have been going to this store for more than 30 years. Great staff, products and prices. On Saturday May 11, 2019 I went to purchase 3-4 pounds each of Dutch Clover and the Pink Clover. I told the staff what I wanted and they pointed to the shelves on the left hand side of the store. The pink clover container was empty and there were no bags. The Dutch clover was almost full. There was no scoop, scale or bags. I asked another employee if there were any bags, but she was more interested in unloading product than she was at helping me. I found plastic 1 quart bags by the grass seed which would never hold 6-8 pounds of clover. I asked another employee, who I believe was the supervisor...I have a question, she walked by and stated she was going to be helping someone else in a less than friendly way. When I saw her doing something other than helping another person, I walked out. So disappointing. I hope this was just a bad day at Fluegels.

Great selection of farm and ranch supplies. We've ordered chicks from here and also get all of our layer feed from Fluegls. Lots of other pet supplies and food too. Great price and quality for sweet feed for horses. The staff are always so happy and helpful.

As recommended by a friend, I purchased a Sport dog training collar here($150.00). I have tried multiple different collars on my dog, and non of them seem to work well, so I double checked with the sales associate to make sure I would be able to return the item (even though it would be open) if it didn’t work out for me. He assured me that as long as it was within 30 days of purchasing, I would be able to return it. The collar did not work to my liking, so I went back and tried to return it. I was met with attitude and told that because it was open, I couldn’t return it. I told them that someone had assured me that I could return it after opening, and that was the only reason I bought it from their store vs amazon or someplace else. They refused to let me return it, and weren’t helpful in the least. Now I am out $150 during a pandemic because I was LIED TO. I’m all about supporting small businesses, but lying to customers and not honoring a promised return is just bad business practice. Please don’t shop here, you’ll regret it.

Fluegel's is a splendid experience! We recently moved to Rosemount and were wondering where to locate the nearest pet supplies store. Look no further! We have three dogs with different dietary needs. Fluegel's has an excellent selection of dog foods, treats, but so much more at great prices.I've never seen such a vast selection of bird feeders and bird feed. Oh yes, and lots more to see. I look forward to each and every trip I take to Fluegel's. Something new every time!

Absolutely love this treasure of a Rosemount store. My one-stop shop for serious lawn care—they’re extremely knowledgeable about grass types and the characteristics of their premium seeds. They’ve got high-quality ferts, starter ferts, topsoil, and peat moss, and an ample supply of real Milorganite, not those knock-offs sold at Homr Depot or Menard’s.

My family bought a female hamster for my youngest sister's birthday (now 8 years old!) from Fluegel's a little while ago. She was bred by one of the employees and her name is now Ginger. She came to us healthy with clear eyes, nose, ears, and no abnormal discharge. She's an active and restless little girl during the dawn and dusk (they're nocturnal so this makes perfect sense) but loves to groom herself in your hands during the day! Would recommend buying hamsters here, especially with Covid regulations at PetSmart and Petco not allowing any handling (from potential costumers or employees! Insane!). And I don't trust hamsters from big chain pet shops because they directly come from mass breeding mills which can not only breed sick hamsters, but some of those diseases and sicknesses can be transferable! Yuck! Please do your research, however, if you're looking into buying a hamster in general, because lack of specific and proper care is the root of many hamster issues!

Several of the traditional feed stores (especially west metro) have been lost. A friend suggested Fluegels. Really knowledgeable, friendly people and better much better prices than the chain guys. Love this place.

Willingly and knowingly sold expired pet food, and when I complained the owner/manager said, “that’s why it was on sale” and insinuated pets will be just fine with expired product. Wow. Be sure to check expiration dates on your buys.
