I’m a huge fan of the flower/garden area in the spring & summer. They gave an enormous selection of healthy plants at a reasonable price.Inside they have wood, hardware, tools, appliances, carpet, grills, paint, mowers, holiday decor and lights. I’m not sure there is much they don’t have.The staff are often professionals in the trade. Like electricians or Plumbers. They know quite a bit about the options you need for any particular situation. They are far more knowledgeable than any staff at other local big box hardware stores.

Home depot is the best. I Always find what I need here. Their inventory is pretty good, and if it's not in store it's usually available to ship online.They may have a lack of staffing. I find it hard to find help if there is ever something I can't find.

Wanted to buy treated lumber, but am told the crooked and disheveled boards that are left out need to sell before they'll bring more fresh cuts out. Was told "straight is not the normal for wood due to temp changes in their building" and more couldn't be brought out until the 30 miscuts are gone "or at least down to 15." I've literally bought hundreds of these boards in the last 2 weeks that were straight. I really like the nice cuts of this wood and the price point, but unfortunately I understand what is being said and I'll take my absurd request for non miss cut wood elsewhere. I also understand that the measily 200 boards a month I average purchasing likely doesn't sway any form of policy change on allowing customers to purchase decent cuts, either, so I'll promise to not bug this business with my requests any further. Take what ya get and don't throw a fit. Was even told I'd have better luck ordering online. How? I need straight non miss cut wood. Ordering online surely isn't the answer if I can't get it in the store that way... sad.

Everything I purchase online arrives at the store fast and exactly what I ordered. People in the store are always helpful. Just had an appliance delivered and it was on time as scheduled. The delivery people they use were professional and fast.Well done Rochester Home Depot!

This Home Depot location is hands down the best location I’ve ever been to. It’s obvious they prioritize customer service. In most Home Depot locations, it’s a struggle to find & flag down a staff member for help. At this location, there are an abundance of staff willing to go out of their way to help you find what you need or answer your questions, even during peak hours. I’d give you 6 out of 5 stars if I could.

I frequent home Depot and love getting both things for work projects and around the house. I'm a little disappointed they stopped carrying pads for my floor machine but if there is no demand I understand it. I have a couple go to stores in Rochester and Home Depot is Definitely one of them.

Daniel the assistant manager was super helpful and came in clutch in my toilet repair project. He showed me the right kind of valve seal I needed for my toilet and explained how unfortunately different brands can’t be used interchangeably. He found the right valve seal on Amazon for me because unfortunately neither HD nor Ace nor Menards nor Lowe’s had the exact part in stock. Daniel is awesome!

We had several renovation projects to finish and we always came here for good service and good choice of materials and options.People who work here are awesome and always helpful, starting from the greeter all the way to different departments. We had good experience with flooring representatives who went out of their way to explain us the process.We also rented a carpet cleaning machine and we had great experience with tool rental customer service reps also. You can rely on these people for the right advice. Thank you!

We have done thousands of $s of business with THD.... took back $200 worth of items and they denied the request. The people in front of me had the same problem.Returned $1800 of items from the same time period to Menards and received full credit.Why would you shop where they won't take returns?Go to Lowes and Menards. We had the same issue a while back and stopped using THD. We've spent around $190k at Menard on this last project but thought because THD was close we would try again on any quick needs.....Never More.

Will never visit a Home Depot ever again we have Menards and Lowe’s in town and even if somehow they both closed I’d drive anywhere to not go here!This is a long review but it’s worth it to read.And I always wanna start with the good stuff the Manager I spoke to on January 30 of 2024 was amazing, compassionate, caring, and very attentive. They’re also was another man who did an amazing job at the service counter, who was behind the cashier who is helping me, Instead of making comments like “I can’t help you”I work as an independent contractor, delivering packages for Home Depot, and several other businesses. Yesterday I had an extremely poor experience multiple times trying to bring back an order a customer refused. No one at Home Depot knew what to do and they ultimately told me just to go home with someone else’s merchandise… I felt really bad about this, so I reached out to my boss and eight hours later I got instructions to bring the items back to Home Depot. When I got to the service desk, the first employee I saw was on his cellphone and didn’t even acknowledge I was there, not a hey welcome in or anything.You NEED TO HAVE THAT WONDERFUL MAN BACK GREETING GUESTS, he lighten up my day every time I saw him, but then I politely said hey, I am a delivery driver with Roadie. I just need to return some packages that the guest didn’t want. And the Customer service agent must have been new because he had trouble figuring out what to do and after about 10 minutes I made a comment about how I’ve wasted my whole day trying to drop these items off, And all that my job required was a picture of the items on the Home Depot counter so I took my picture and I tried to leave and this service desk employee (young tall slim built white male) stopped me and what I heard next literally dropped my jaw.He said “ You seem to have some issues maybe you should go to the psychiatric hospital and get that checked out” I didn’t respond as conflict wasn’t necessary.Once I got out to the parking lot, I called the manager on duty and explained the situation, I didn’t get his name but I wanna give him a big thanks for taking this issue as seriously as it is. Ultimately, he put me on a short hold and came back a few minutes later, saying that an employee did admit to saying those exact words. And there would be an investigation. As decent human being you don’t say that let alone to Customer while you’re at work. Especially if someone’s has a tough day, the least you can do is being nice. This hopefully former employee learns that. This gentleman was a taller, white slim built with I believe bulkier glasses.

Google return policies are horrible. We purchased a kitchen faucet with a gift card, but when we got it home realized it was the wrong configuration. We lost the receipt, but we wanted to exchange it for something else. It is brand new and unopened and we want either a store credit, gift card or exchange for the correct faucet needed. The store would not let us do anything and no other alternative. It is just logic. To give a credit, or exchange would not cost home depot a penny. Do not purchase from home depot any items you might need to return if you have a large building progress. They supposedly have a new return policy and will not work with the clients

As much as I want to give this 1 star. It would be soley based on my wallet....... But it's a 5 star as I've never had an issue with getting what I needed and good customer service along the way. Pro member for 5 years now and won't let that go anytime soo.

Nice store, especially for flowers and such in the Spring, but more spendy than Menards or even Ace hdwe. (Fact) I know they price match, but twice this year I did that with Scott's fertilizer and then again with 1 lb LP tanks, but why hunt around for help (never can find anyone) and then screw around having to verify the price? I'll just go where they have them cheaper and there's someone to help you.

Multiple times I've gone to HD for the "free" carpet installation with qualifying purchase. They will only pay for the installation if they are allowed to over charge you for carpet itself. Each time they find a way to not pay for installation. I won't ever buy carpet there again. The service has become so terrible that you are better off not asking any HD employee anything and figuring it out yourself.

This Home Depot is a Home Depot, so we all understand what it's about. This one is clean, well stocked, and I've always had a good experience interacting with customer service or employees out in the aisles. Those three elements are a 10/10.However, what dials this Home Depot up to an 11/10 for me is Jesse, the front door greeter. You may find this review ridiculous, but it's likely because a.) you've never had Jesse greet you at the door in his signature bowler hat, or b.) you've met Jesse, but you can't shake your cynicism.Jesse is the man. He's the happiest and most genuine person I have regularly encountered in the city of Rochester. My kids love him. His joy spreads, and he just lights the place up.All other things being equal, I'd choose Home Depot over Lowe's simply because they don't have a Jesse. Keep it up, man.

Like most DIY stores, they have everything. Problem is finding a live person to help you. If you try to call an employee at the front of the store, you’ll just get a bunch of automated messages.Using their national website to check product availability in this particular store is usually helpful. But the aisle and bay numbers listed for locating products are sometimes wrong.

Parking is easy. Garden center is a bit in unorganized with decent selection of certain plants. Would like to see better signage around the plants and which sections are annuals vsperennials.

Big store with lots of parking. Without going to the website, it can be a little hard to find exactly what you need if it's something more specific. When looking for some special caulk, the employee was very friendly and able to help us quickly with exactly what we were looking for. When checking out, it gets a little confusing in figuring out which lanes are self checkout and which are not.

I was building a fence and Mike from the lumbar department helped make great recommendations and helped me load the wood onto the trolley and into my truck. Matthew helped to forklift bags of concrete from the front of the store onto the truck. Mike, Matthew, and Torin were so nice and helped me load all 200+ pieces of wood and 3000lbs of concrete onto my truck. I can’t thank them enough!!! They deserve the highest praise and recognition!

Not great service today at rochester store. Tried to get help from Pro Team but working until 4:30 really means until 4:00 I guess. Online orders a vanity with top....top doesn't fit. That's awesome!!! Online help said we have to return both pieces since they came together. Craftsmanship on the vanity top was really neglected.

The customer service at Home Depot is above many other home improvement stores. The one place that I cannot seem to get attendance is in the kitchen countertops area. They are understaffed for the number of customers that need help. I have been waiting several weeks to speak with someone to try and purchase countertops, to no avail. However, everywhere else staff members are helpful. When in the kitchen area my husband noticed a built in microwave on the shelf we had been trying to purchase since September 2020. We were elated to see it. A nice staff-man assisted with finding me a cart and taking it off the shelf. Our overall experience was great and our trip was productive, minus the countertops area. We'll keep trying.
