The staff here are great! They are not in your face but always around if you need help or have questions and are so knowledgeable. They have customers from all walks of life, and we all fit seamlessly into this store because we love our animals. Also, they have food for a variety of animals. And I often find stuff here for my dogs that I can't find elsewhere.

This store previously stocked my pets food but stopped carrying it saying they could order the food for us and call when it was ready. I called on Friday to order the food and was unsure of what times to expect so I called to ask for an update and timeline on the Tuesday after to which the person on the phone told me it was ordered and should be there on that Thursday. I waited until Saturday to call again and a different person told me that no one had ordered the food at all and it would take about another week or so and I would get a call back next week when it was ordered. It has been three weeks since then and I have never gotten a call back from the ordering manager.Prior to this incident we had picked up a large bag of food that had been expired so quality control is an issue as well as communication.

I have taken my dog to them for 10 years now. I have made sure He has the same groomer to ensure he is comfortable going . Mac is good with him. most of the time, she gives me a report card on my furry baby, so i know how my dog was/acted for his bath and groom and about his nails, ears, coat. It is a great place and they are very reasonably priced..

I had such an amazing experience here! Two girls helped suggest some good food choices for my cat who has bladder stones. The prescription given to us by the vet was far beyond what we could afford, and I was nearly in tears. I was researching all over the internet on what to do, but was hoping someone at this store could help. I felt like both girls cared about my cat as if it was their own pet. And taking care of an emotional pet mom as if we were best friends!! They truly deserve the best recognition! Thank you for helping me today! I will forever be a customer and will recommend you to everyone I know!

This is my all time favorite place to buy stuff for my two dogs! It's a quick stop on the way home, easy parking, entry & exit (though it can be a bit of a hassle depending on the time of day).Love supporting local. If they don't have what I need out on the floor, one of their staff can usually find it in a recent delivery.Free bags after multiple purchases. Friendly staff. Small but has everything you need!

Friendly staff and always have what I'm looking for. My only complaint would be you never know how much something is going to cost because they don't have price stickers on some things and the shelf stickers are usually wrong. For instance, cans of dog food; I've gone up to pay for my items many times and see the price ring up different than what was on the shelf sticker. When I've mentioned this, they said they were updating all the stickers, but I've heard that excuse since before the COVID pandemic, so not sure how long that timeline is to complete. Would be nice to have an idea what my total will be before everything gets rung up.

The staff is very friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable on all of the products they offer. If there's something you need and they don't have it, they'll either tell you where you can get it or order it in for you. The best trainers, groomers, and pet food store in town!

Going to Rochester Pet and Country Store is a delight for my dogs, as well as me. The staff is extremely friendly and will stop at nothing to assist you in the store and out to your vehicle. The staff is very calm and compassionate, even when it can get a little crazy with pets on an outing. They have great selection of pets needs and are extremely knowledgeable. I have been going to Rochester Pet and Country Store for many years and have absolutely no reason to ever stop. See you there!

I recently went to this store for the first time. I love the variety of items, different than what's in other stores. I was hoping it would be more focused on other animals beside cats and dogs and typical house pets. They do have chicken feed and other types of pet items, but just not as much as I was hoping for. I also didn't like that the big bags of feed didn't have any prices on them, so not sure how they compare to other stores for feed. I will still shop here, for certain things. I was happy to see that they had both chicks and ducklings in stock when I was looking! Overall, I like the store and all the staff was very nice and welcoming.

If what you want is in stock, go for it. If not, forget it! It'll never show up! Rochester Pet & Country Store's supplier is abysmal and nonresponsive, and the store doesn't care. You get a couple of false promises and then silence.Updates? Ha! After I waited and waited and waited several weeks for a harness I was assured would arrive in a couple of days, I ordered the same harness from Amazon -- and received it quickly.Roch Pet & Country Store simply doesn't care. Some shops go the extra mile. Roch Pet doesn't even go the extra millimeter.

This is my regular pet store. It's a lot more personal and comfortable than the big stores The foster kitties and bunnies have also provided excellent socialization opportunities for my dog. Friendly staff also.

Nice local pet store. We buy our dog food and anything else we can to support a local business. We wanted to get some ear cleaner but all of the options were things we had tried in the past with very minimal success. I understand the natural organic stuff can be what's popular but it would be awesome if some other items were stocked as well. We checked the ingredients on one of the $24 cleaning bottles and it was basically olive oil, lavender, happy thoughts, and warm sunshine. I would absolutely pay that if I had any confidence in it actually working.

My first time there and was looking for things for my cats. Store employees were very friendly and helpful and showed me where things were instead of just pointing them out to me. They seem to have a very large selection for dogs, cats and and other non aquatic pets. The stuff I did buy seems sturdy and not the cheap made in China stuff.
