The south petco has the saddest fish section in southeast mn. Every tank is dirty and so many dead or beaten up fish. Then 1 mile south petsmart had clean healthy tanks.

If you are looking at fish, saltwater specifically this is the better of the two stores. I just wish they had more selection. The hobby is taking off and internet sales are booming, the pet manager should try and stay in touch with the popular breeds of fish. They have some stuff that won't sell because of how big or aggressive the breed can be.

I'm disappointed and upset. Really? I'm a longtime customer. I was planning to purchase food for my reptiles as usual. However, with a big bill that I recently withdrew from the bank. Long story short, the cashiers said that my bill was not a legal note after examining it. The cashiers stated that there wasn't a line on the bill to verify that it's a legal bill. In addition, the cashiers mentioned that maybe because it's an old bill. Therefore, they didn't accept my note as a legal purchase. Also, the cashier asked me if I had any other bill to make a purchase. In result, I said no and walked out of the store. Shortly after this incident, I stopped by Petsmart and they accepted the bill. After examination of course. In fact, my bill had a legal line. Petco, you must make improvements upon your security and customer services. After being accused of using counterfeit money. I'm not coming back to this department. I want to advise future customers not to pay with big bills at this particular location. You will likely be accused of using counterfeit money.($100)Thank You

First time bringing my dog in for a wash, cut, and nail grinding and was very impressed. Amanda was the groomer that took care of my dog and she was great. She greeted him in a way that he really enjoyed and responded to - he's normally a very active and friendly guy so she brought the right intensity to match.Got a text to pick him up and he looked great. Perfect length and no big nicks or bald spots. He was super happy when I got him.
