The store itself was pretty clean but they are short staffed and the customer service was alright. I went in specifically needing the speaking buttons for dogs. They are about the only store besides one other one that had them in stock within 5 hours of me. I drove 2 1/2 hours.

I just love going to pet stores. This trip was different because I was only at Petco for a holiday return via Happy People. I was excited to learn Petco was a drop off location. The clerk was quick to help me even though it was the day after Christmas and stores were so busy. She shared my refund receipt should be in my email and that it would have a Petco coupon attached. It seems like a no-brainer to use Happy People at a store I love! I'll be back soon to use my coupon.

I ran into the store to use a coupon- I should have ordered online for pick up as the online price was $3 less than in store. Frustrating- no more spontaneous shopping at Petco. Typically I research prices. NOT HAPPY with the price difference for the exact same item.

Terrible experience here.. the woman that checked me out was very rude and was acting as if it was a burden that I was even there. I asked a question about their reptile stock (which is non existent) and she literally chuffed at me and never even responded. Will not be back and recommend you go somewhere else as well.

Best selection in Rochester (even compared to North Petco). Clean and well organized. Prices are fair - usually Amazon can beat them for most toys but it’s nice to look at stuff in person and not wait for shipping. Only taking off a star as I’ve twice gone to the register and had to wait because there was no staff present, however staff are very nice.

It's a decent store, with good selection. We can never find the same brands and types of canned cat food from one time to the next though. Cats need consistency. It's very hard to get them to change foods. Having to change over and over because you can't get the kind they like any more is very unhealthy for them.The care rewards system they have here is a bit of a rip off, if you get cat litter elsewhere at all. Sounds like a good deal, getting 20% off cat litter each time. But their cat litter brands are not always the same as are available at other stores. And, if they are, in the same size and unscented, they are twenty-five to thirty percent more at Petco than they are at Costco, for example. So, you're paying $15 per cat, for example, to get it back as a "reward", but you also get "20% off of cat litter". When cat litter cost twenty-five to thirty percent more there, that's no savings.

Staff was great when I needed help. Also let me see the habit they keep their crickets in since I mentioned I was interested in raising my own. Had a nice variety of small animals, the kids always like to look in all the tanks to find what's in them. I was disappointed, however, since nearly all of their roaches were dead. I am trying to build my colony, but clearly adding dead roaches to the mix doesn't help...

Horrible place! I booked 2 grooming appointments for my dogs and when I arrived the stylist was rude and overly added services that i did not want! Once I told her what packaged I would like she refused services! She told me of I didn’t purchase the package that she recommended she couldn’t touch my dogs !! I end up using there self grooming tubs for my dogs! I definitely will be reaching out to there cooperate office ! I’ve never recommended there pet salon but the actual store has really nice employees!

It was a great place for a pet store. The staff is really helpful and well knowledgeable. The only thing is if you have young ones who look at the fish be careful,my 7 year old pointed out fish eating the dead fish on the bottom of the tanks. Other then that a good store!

Don't get comfortable with the idea of your favorite cat litter being available because chances are the shelf will be bare. No reasonable explanation. Stop forcing us to shop online. Just keep items stocked.

The sales associate who rung us up was very helpful and friendly. He engaged with my toddler son and had a smile our entire visit. All other associates were great as well. They were friendly but didnt smother us as we were shopping. I much prefer Petco to pet smart.

I am restocking my 90 gallon tank and they had some really nice fish I wanted in my tank. We also purchased a few fish for my son's salt water tank. They are all happy and healthy! I like PetCo for fish, I rarely have a problem with the fish not living.

I had pond water tested. There was much more algae growth recently and we put hydrogen peroxide in the water to control it. The person helping me said the ph was slightly high but it would be back within a week to lower level. She sold me three comet goldfish and assured me they would live in it.
