Peoples food co-op is my go to for produce. As you can see from the photos, fresh organic produce is a hot commodity. The locals that know about this place are avid goers as well. Always clean and helpful service

This is one of the best gems in our community. You do NOT have to be a member to shop there, but why should you want to? For $100 you get voting right, 5% discount 12 times per year and the membership is lifetime or until you sell it back. The quality and options for fresh food is amazing. Bulk dry goods is a huge selection. Best option downtown for a quick, fresh, healthy lunch. Walking distance from most Mayo Clinic offices and downtown. Great new selection of Sushi. However I do not recommend their cookies, they are not baked daily, maybe once a week. They are not fresh they are like rocks.

I love this place. They provide a variety of health food items, vegetables, fruits, soaps, essential oils, incense, skin care products, and many. This store is well known for organic food. I use to buy organic honey, butter, fish items.Don't forget to try their Salad bar.Their prices are bit higher side.Staffs are friendly, helpful, informative, and kind.

Year of 2022: Their Dave's Bread brand "GOOD SEED" organic sliced bread (pictured) seems to be far beyond edible date so that it breaks itself into pieces with even gentle handling (see photo). This is not seen with the same product bought from other grocers despite this is likely the most expensive grocer in town (overall impression, not statistics).Update (2023):Thought the rotted bread, above, was a rare incident of some sort. But actually 2 more followed, one of which is pretty gross: badly rotted 'organic' baby carrots only a week over the Best By date despite kept in a fridge all the time (never seen baby or regular carrots rotting before no matter how long). A good part of the carrots became paste, leaking fluid (pictured)! The store manager (a black woman) was arrogant and said no return after THREE days. The other is with carrot bunches with leaves, sold as organic. But after being boiled for nearly an hour, the leaves still tough to chew, fibrous, a characteristic of fertilized veggies. The above experience tells a pattern of food quality and the grocer's trustworthiness, so no longer going there.

They do not abide by their opening hours. I had to grab one thing and arrived 7 minutes before closing and they would not allow me to enter and were making rude gestures through the window. I’m so disappointed in this immature and unprofessional behavior. All of the employees were laughing with each other at me. I have never even posted a google review before, but this was an outrageous experience, especially as someone who (used to) shop there frequently

My top place to shop for locally sustained and chemical free produce and meats in the Rochester, MN area. When visiting someone a Mayo it is an easy walk and we can find healthy edible gifts as well as shopping for our own needs. They make scones in house, meaning that they are super fresh.

This place has the friendliest, most helpful staff! I stopped at this natural food co-op while in town for a job interview and I was happy to find this gem of a grocery store with wonderful, fresh food. They have lots of organic produce (which I prefer) and a great bulk section. Also, their prices are really good for the high quality products. But most of all, the staff go above and beyond to help you and are very welcoming.

I liked this store, though I couldn't find all of what I wanted. Their deli makes a good sandwich.

They have a wide variety of speciality items, plus the run of the mill things. They also have vegetarian items on the menu and prepared food. They even have vegetarian/vegan soups too! This store is generally more expensive than some other grocery stores.

I like it. Best place in town to get a large variety of whole bean coffee at a good price. I'd recommend the Kickapoo Driftless.. delicious 😊 The Cubano Italiano and the BLT were both great for lunch. Cold brew from Chameleon coffee is pretty awesome too.

We paid in cash. Part of our change was 8 cents, the cashier gave us 8 pennies. We asked for a nickle and her response was that she didn't want to have to open a roll of nickles. Excuse me, what!?!

Great health food store, one of the best health food stores out there. You can find almost anything here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the same I have with most health food store and that is price. But this one is not anymore than the other.

Nice selection of plant based options. A few "normal" items thrown in to, such as good ol' gold fish. Staff was friendly, but also a bit short. The hot food menu looked great, but was unfortunately not ready, and running late since it seemed they don't make a lot of it in house? Not sure. Bulk soap is always a plus. Would go back for some pantry staples.

I have been shopping here for 6 years and it has only gotten better. The best thing about the Food Co-op is the customer service. The employees are so nice and besides just being generally helpful and knowing where things are - sometimes they also go far out of their way to order things you need or make special recommendations. I love that the employees are friendly and professional. The one time I had something ring up incorrectly, a manager actually stepped in and instantly went to the aisle to update the price tag. I guess that's why everything here is usually the correct price! The store is always super clean and organized. I actually find myself spending a little too much time browsing because the atmosphere is nice. The variety of products is always changing but if you don't see something you need, they can usually put it on an order request for you. Anytime I have to shop at Target I end up regretting it because I miss the customer service at the Co-op!

They have great selection of organic and gluten-free items. For the ones you can't find, the staff is very helpful to find them- the manager at night, Indian lady- took her time helping me even though it was closing time. Will definitely start shopping here more

A great local grocery with a nice selection of products: Good sushi, great produce, awesome unique finds, local honey & coffee, etc.The BAD: Their deli counter. The sandwiches are good, but they've recently done a major disservice by no longer serving or slicing Boar's Head products for a lesser option. Further, the odd hours of deli vs. the store have been frustrating as well as it is often shut down due to staffing or slicers are out of service.
