Always well-stocked, good prices, and usually employees are helpful and knowledgeable where items are. Returns are never a problem. Just not a fan of their rebate system, and I haven't always received it back in the mail. I'd rather have actual cash discount, becuz saving money by spending more another time doesn't make a lot of sense to me. That's why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5.

Good selection of items for general home and construction. They don't have all the specialty home items though like at Lowes.If you're going to make a big purchase be sure to park by the exit door on the north side of the building. It's a long walk back to your vehicle if you park by the entrance door.Their rental department is excellent. Lots of choices and quality equipment. I've rented their floor sanding equipment for many jobs.Returns are always easy and the 11% rebate is nice. Not amazing, but certainly a perk when you buy a lot of items.

Never rent a pickup truck from here. They are false advertising the price. I rented a pickup and used 10 minutes and 3 miles and I was charged 79% more of what their advertisement says and I was not told ahead of time and the customer service was "I don't know what to tell you" is that a joke?

Cheri whether she is working at customer service, or as a cashier will give you the best menards experience possible. The way she treats, informs, and directs people should be rewarded. She is the most competent helpful person I have ever seen work. Countless times through my whole home renovation process I have seen and interacted with her. Never seen her in anything but a good mood. She needs a pay increase and should be leading others in her example of customer care! Menards has a gem and her name is Cheri thank you for the wonderful experiences shopping at menards!

Menards is a nice place to shop and for the most part everyone is cordial and helpful. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because every time I go to the pick up area to gather items my receipt says is in stock, when you get there they don't have it. Now the problem with this is that when you go into their "pick-up" yard attendants will bring out what you've ordered IF they can find it. On several occasions my husband and I have gone into the gates to pick up cabinets and 5 out of 6 times they did not have everything the cashier indicated we were supposed to pick up. Before leaving the pick-up yard you have to show your receipt and items. When I've mentioned to the gate attendant that not all of the items were available, he indicated to come back. The problem with that is once they scan your paper to show you were at the pick-up area they will not sign off on your sheet to say some items were not being taken. Luckily I document everything so that when I see the sales person they know the sequence of events in the pick-up courtyard. You must have patience when picking up merchandise containing many pieces. Save receipts and keep a documented paper-trail.

Went to the store to look at windows. My husband and I were approached by two different sales people at two different times to see if we needed any assistance. Both had smiles, and were very kind. Then we were on our way to the bathroom area to look at vanities and a sales person asked if we needed help locating anything and we said we knew where we were going. And he smiled and we smiled. Once we got to that department another sales person looked at me and smiled, and I asked her questions about vanities. Also very helpful. On my way home I realized I had left my phone in the bathroom at Menards. I called and talked to the manager. Her name is Bambi. She said please hold while I go look for your phone and then she came back and said she had it and she kindly said she would put it in the office so it would be locked up until I arrived. I live near Red Wing, but could not imagine being without my phone for long, so I drove back to retrieve it immediately. When I got there, I asked an associate for Bambi and they directed me and then once I got there, another employee looked at me and I asked for Bambi and he went to get her. She was helping someone else, and kindly asked him to retrieve my phone which he did, and gave it to me with a huge smile and told me to have a nice evening. I have no idea what’s going on at the store. But I like it. Where did you find so many kind sales associates? You’ve got a good thing going on. Thank you!!!!!!! Keep up the good work and please share this with everybody.

Horrible experience trying to get some carpet. I was such an inconvenience to ask for some carpet to be cut for me. Did not accurately measure it before cutting it and had to have it cut a 2nd time. The pieces I asked to be cut were very simple. Will definitely go somewhere else the next time I need carpet.

Managment doesn't exists?Went to menards specifically for a space heater , found it like expected and purchased it . Did more shopping around the store for a while everything fine and dandy as usual (cant find employees to answer questions or get you to the right spot but that's expected at rochester's menards) checking out is where my problems all begin , I went through purchasing my cart full of items for my business about an additional $250 worth over the space heater I came for so it was a good trip until the totes didnt ring up even close to the price of the sign literally RIGHT NEXT TO THE ITEM... she scanned it on her phone and said register and phone match so nothing they can do... wouldn't even talk or ask for a price verification (step one in all retail price issues) nope she continued and said I can go look if I want after I check out ... so I purchased my items and then went and looked to find the same sign still sitting by the same totes I tried to purchase. Took a picture and showed it to her and she didnt care said I'll have to have someone change that price tag... meanwhile I'm still paying an additional $40 for my totes ....so I had to exit the store walk around the front of the store to talk to customer service where I decided to start returning every item I purchased 5 seconds earlier telling her the prices didn't match and the cashier didnt care so I was returning it all ..And only contacts management about the issue when I told her in my say of retail and someone tells me that I contact management to tell them .. so she finally did radio management, and after bunch of words talked back and forth between them and me relaying my story to her, showing the picture , and explaining everything they never came out talked to me explained everything they said if I want to complain there is a letter I can fill out and mail in...I never had a opportunity to even speak to a Manager....they just told the customer service lady to return it all and point me to the letter .....absolutely horrid I cant belive this retail outlet operates so poorly.... and doesnt contact their customers....

Yard stock never close to accurate. Have to go back in to get refund after checking yard myself. Do they adjust inventory when I tell them it should be “zero”? No, so next person gets to waste their time too. Nice system!

I came in for one thing and left with 6 other things I needed too! Talked with James in electrical he was so helpful, and found me exactly an item, that I couldn't name but did explain and it was exactly what I came in for!Great clean easy store to navigate.

Lady at paint dept. was very helpful. She then mixed it for me. Someone in plumbing told us what we needed to fix our stool. Man in hardware showed us which screws & brackets we needed.Last but not least I found the Charmin. A very good experience

A home goods store with great price comparison...but since pandemic situation...most items are hard to get or can't get. Staff are knowledgeable and will help with buying decisions.You'll get weekly 11% rebate offers too...

Went to Menards in Roch as they had quantity of flooring needed versus Mason City. Wow Trevor loaded on cart, took to check out and to car for me! What fabulous customer service.

Doesn’t really get much better then this store. They are always better priced then competitors, almost always have everything in stock, I love Menards, it’s a man dream store, my wife wouldn’t agree but if I need some alone time Menards is my place!! I spend way too much money here 😂

They always have what I'm looking for, and they have stuff that I didn't know I needed for a job. Great stuff, great prices. The addition of "a guy's grocery store" is fantastic! Always check out "the deals" shelves as you come in the IN door 😁 11 stars!

Very slim pickin’s in lawn and garden. For the first time ever, I couldn’t find an employee so I could a two second question. But it’s menards, they had a lot of other stuff, so it wasn’t terrible.

Good selection of what you need for your home projects. It seems like they are almost always running their 11% rebate program. They give you in store credit for the rebate, not cash back. They tend to have lower price items for many areas.

Went in to buy paint for bean bag boards, Roger at the paint desk was very very helpful, helped me pick which sheen of paint would provide the proper amount of resistance so bags dont just slide off. Also used some cool software they have to get the paint codes for team colors so we could do a MN Wild and Nash. Predators theme. This man should be a manager if he's not already! Definitely see Roger for all you paint help!

Bought a big swing set from the north store. Swing set was 2,000.00 Seemed like no one knew what they were doing. Didn't mark down the right lumber we needed to build it short us boards. Call to get the issue fixed and they wouldn't help. The manager told me sorry about your luck but next time I'll make sure my people know what they are doing for next time and charge us for the missing lumber. I will be never stopping again horrible customers Service. So I would not recommend this company

I have been coming to this location for my home improvement needs for the last three years now and have always had excellent service. They have always been able to quote and order (accurately, I might add) my projects at competitive prices. Returns are never a hassle either.

I will be sure not to shop at North Menards lumber yard due to their aggressive gate security who seem to be on a power trip and are very rude to the customers who spend thousands of dollars. Gate security only yard hand help is nice and polite.

Spent our visit in the flooring department. Friendly staff, usual Menards experience.Unfortunate the Cash back program is not US Currency, instead kind of a come back and spend more program. Still favorable for frequent Menards customers. Great marketing tactic.

Yard workers were amazing. Came over and helped gather and stack our boards. Spent 5k on wood and the gate security guy (we will leave the name out) would barely let us take 2 trucks into the yard and 100% refused to let me bring in my car for all the stairs, railing spindles and other miscellaneous items. You'd think if you could get it all in one trip instead of multiple then Menards would know what has/hasn't been taken. (PLUS we had 2 workers helping us the whole time) After 10 mins of checking us out he made us go to the side so he could assist others. Stated multiple times that this will take forever. I even had a nice paper with skew#'s, quantity and product description with check marks on what we had and didn't have (And in which truck). I'll never come back! 43 mins in and still checking our wood on the 1st truck. He tried to tell me to stack it by the page print off but we did it by size. Makes sense when your loading trucks. Big to small, not scattered n different sizes everywhere.Second time through and it was a girl and different guy. In and out. I was pleased.

Their online shopping and curbside pickup has not been the best experience for me. Lack of communication, no actual receipt with barcode sent via email which makes returns for curbside pickup annoying. Overall shopping experience was fine.

Great Location, plenty of Sq. Ft. for anything home improvement.Much better than the old location, especially regarding better access from the Hwy.The shear size of the parking lot and size of the building make it a necessity that you can enter the exit side as well (near the loading area) so it doesnt matter which side you park. They should have made a North and South Entrance instead.The store will always be packed on the weekend of any 11% sale, so prepare for limited parking, and long waits in line to check out.

I'm disappointed in the On-Line ordering at Menard's because their computer sometimes shows items are in stock in a specific store when they really are sold out. This has happened 3 times with my last 3 orders. The North store tried but could not find the item the computer said they set aside for me to pickup. The South Store order pickup manager and his staff were exceptionally proficient and cared about my situation. They found what I needed in their store (even going and putting hands on it to assure it was really there) and worked with me to get it delivered. The staff at Menard's South in order pickup went the extra mile!I would recommend to Menard's Corporate to think about allowing stock to move between stores in the same city. For example, if a product is back ordered 3 weeks at one store, but the other store has 114 in stock, wouldn't it be great if once a day the stores should share stock to minimize customer waiting?
