We are from out of state and my husband is currently being treated at the Mayo Clinic for a very serious condition. My beloved cat suddenly fell ill and stopped eating. I called Heritage Pet Hospital and they got me in very quickly without the usual red tape of being a new patient. The doctor and her assistant discussed several treatment plans and prices, and we started with the most conservative followed by home care. I was contacted twice within the next few days to be sure my cat was on the right track, which he was! He is back to his old self and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to use this animal hospital. I could not recommend them more. Thank you Heritage Pet Hospital!

We switched to Heritage a couple years ago and couldn't be happier! Everyone who works there is awesome! We have a couple trouble pets and Dr. Finkle is amazing with them, patient and realistic when it comes to their care. We definitely love how they aren't pushers about fancy food or other unnecessary things like our last vet was, we absolutely love this place and are so happy we made the switch! I have been to a lot of vets over the years with different temperament pets and health problems with pets and they are by far my favorite! Normal, nice, realistic people, we are so happy with them!

When I first got my kitten 3 years ago, I researched to find the best vet in the area. When I got him from the shelter he had overcome fading kitten syndrome and had hydrocephalous. I wanted the very best care for him, and that is exactly what we got at Heritage! I have been going there since his very first kitten visit and have always felt welcomed and heard by the staff! We see Dr. Watson, and she is very loving and caring towards Hans. The ideal doctor to be taking care of my little guy! I recommend Heritage Pet Hospital for anyone who is looking for a vet in the area!

Kind staff 5 stars. My daughter just adopted her first dog "Kona". At 7 years old Little Kona had good care but her previous dog-mom fell into dementia the last few years so little Kona's health care was lacking near the end. My daughter took Kona to Heritage Pet Hospital for a full workup and full teeth cleaning which was very much needed. I personally observedHeritage Pet Hospital examine Kona and explain everything. Kona was scared but the vet considered Kona's feelings as much as a doctor would consider the feelings of the child. Since Kona would be put under to have her teeth cleaned they saved blood draw for while she was under. The quote for teeth cleaning was very high which was scary for us, but the quote included possible teeth extractions. It turned out no extractions were needed so the actual cost of teeth cleaning was half the quote. Still very expensive but dog teeth cleanings are not cheap. It was just higher than we expected.Suggestions for Heritage Pet Hospital:#1. Consider ways to discount the cost of teeth cleaning. Dog teeth cleaning is important and if it was more affordable, more dog-moms & dads would get it done more often. My personal vet has a special price during "National Pet Dental Health Month" which is actual thing. By offering a discount that month, the vet encourages good dental care, attracts new customers, and can still retain the original price for teeth cleaning the rest of the year.#2. Please take a moment to work with 1800petmeds. They are a high quality service that is easy to do. All 1800petmeds needs from the vet is a phone confirmation of a fax direct from the vet of the prescription and that's it. 1800petmeds reaches out to vets and works with vets, but the vet needs to respond to 1800petmeds in order to fill prescriptions.Overall, this is the vet of choice in Rochester MN. Little Kona will continue to visit Heritage Pet Hospital as long as she lives in Rochester.

This is our third generation at Heritage Pet Hospital! I wouldn't be able to say that if we all weren't pleased with the care we receive there. We got our sweet pup spayed here yesterday and the whole experience from start to finish was phenomenal. Our dog can be very anxious and when expressed this to the team at Heritage pet hospital and they were all very understanding and accommodating, and we knew she would be in good care. Also, with all aspects of the procedure we were well informed about aftercare and how she did during the procedure. We will definitely be recommending others to visit Heritage Pet Hospital!

I could not be more grateful for the wonderful care the entire team provided for my dog, Archie, yesterday! Amy at the front desk was so incredibly kind when I called needing an urgent appointment. Dr. Watson was very thorough in explaining all our options, made Archie feel at ease, and ensured that I had every question answered. We ultimately had to be transferred to Blue Pearl for overnight care and the Heritage team made it seamless. By the time we arrived at Blue Pearl, they had sent Archie’s records and Dr. Watson called to give a warm handoff to the accepting vet. So incredibly thankful to Heritage and their compassionate team!

Dr. Finkel has been our vet since our dog was only a couple months old, and we could not ask for a better vet. Not only is he great at what he does, but he loves our dog like his own. Heritage has gone above and beyond for me. Even when they are so busy, they took the time to answer my questions and take the time to check both my pets over. They are about helping our pets.I have one that is kinda skittish and they had to take him to do a test and they said he was a gentleman. That made me feel good that he did good. I have left other vets because of how they treated me and my pets. I have been with Heritage 4/5 years and have never had an issues. Highly recommend them.

The care the doctors and entire staff give your pet(s). They are compassionate when you need to have a pet put to sleep. They explain the procedure and give to time to spend with the pet prior and after. I will not go anyplace else for my pets care.

From start to finish (check-in to pick-up) this care team is fantastic. They provide such a customized, personalized approach to your needs. Prompt with communication, sense of urgency with scheduling surgical intervention, understanding of complexity of our health history, and kept me updated (and nerves calm!) throughout the entire thing. As an ICU nurse, I speak medical language and know good care when I see it. They pass the test with flying colors, every time, bar none. So grateful for this care team. A++++

I really love the staff here and always felt that they cared for my pets, so I hate to leave a bad review. But word of warning that their recommendations are often excessive and costly, and I’ve had several situations between my 4 pets where I wish I had looked for a second opinion. It seems this clinic is unwilling to look at the specifics of a situation to help come up with a plan— if their first suggestion wasn’t the solution for a problem one of my pets was having they seemed to just throw their hands up and say it was something outside of their control (for example: they said that problem urination with my visibly sick senior cat was behavioral without ever running x-rays or ultrasounds on him. He was euthanized without any answers as to what was really going on.) They also gave me completely false information regarding animal sedation for travel that I have since fact checked with two other veterinarians. So many other situations with Heritage that, in hindsight, were major red flags. Do not recommend bringing your beloved pets here.

This is the first time that I've been to a vet where it seems that they actually genuinely want to build a connection with my cats. Heritage is the best, paws down. We’ve been coming to Heritage ever since we moved here and are 100% completely satisfied with the love and care, not to mention the medical knowledge the staff shows towards our furry kids. It’s kinda like Mayo but for your furry family - we’ve never felt rushed, ever. Everything is explained and if there are options available everything is laid out and explained to you.The only thing I wish was different - parking! They have limited space there and I’ve told them if I play the lottery and happen to hit the jackpot I’m building them the premiere place to take all sorts of family critters and making it the equivalent of Mayo - a 40 acre facility with 24 hour emergency care on site, testing and research labs, pet transportation including emergency ambulance service, medical high risk boarding facilities - oh yeah, it’s gonna be great!

Although a little flustered since our first vet was giving a hard time between getting our cat's medical records, not offering a full blood panel (she ended up having ovarian remnant syndrome), and just kind of making us feel like bad pet parents.Heritage listened to us, went over every single option that could've been wrong with her, went above and beyond to make sure that she was in good hands, and offered the exploratory surgery the day after she went into heat again.Without these caring people; we weren't sure on what our next options were.Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

This was my first time here with my puppy, and long story short they messed up. Not too happy with the lack precautions in place. Otherwise very friendly staff
