The absolute BEST ICE CREAM you will ever eat! So many unique, delicious flavors that you cannot find anywhere else. They even make special seasonal flavors (i.e. Santa's Milk and Cookies, Gingerbread, etc) that we always look forward to. They have dairy free options. They also have amazing ice cream cakes, which are children (even as adults) still request for their birthdays. Our favorite is the Cookie Monster ice cream cake.

Great ice cream even if most flavors aren't very creative, but some staff could learn some hospitality skills. I walked into the store behind an employee, and she let both doors shut in my face. Thanks a lot.Guess I won't be leaving tips anymore.

They refused to make us a milkshake at closing time, even though we had driven 30 minutes off course on a 17 hour road trip specifically to go here. We had been loyal customers when living in Rochester, stopping by 2-3 times a week, and we explained all of this to them but they still refused to make us a milkshake. The worst possible customer experience.

Highly recommend. Great summer stop!Homemade ice cream and cones.Dairy free options. We had the blackberry crumble fairy free on homemade waffle cone. SO good. Kids had cookie dough malts. 😋Lots of choices. Smells amazing. Great service.Inside and outside seating. Drive thru.Great location off hwy 52 in Rochester.

Local premium handmade, made on site ice cream shoppe offering a smooth, wide variety of ice cream, malts and shakes, cakes and pies. Even the waffle cones are made to order. Small shoppe reflect their popularity by the lines inside and outside drive thru and a number of flavors that had run out of. But we were not to be detoured, but pressed on coming away with yet another fav flavor we enjoyed. The young man running the window was friendly and promptly got us our sugar fix and we were soon enjoying our sweet treat. Two baseball size scoops of cookies and cream and rocky road in a waffle cone. Nothing beats the heat of summer than the cold taste of ice cream. #philoffoodreviews

Stopped for ice cream while traveling through MN..ordered 2 Flapdoodles one Strawberry and other Salted Caramel. The Strawberry tasted very fresh and yummy... however the Salted Caramel just tasted like salted cream. I'd visit this shop again but choose another flavor than Salted Caramel.

I loved the sitting place. Walls and tables are filled with jokes. Excellent place for a break. Has a variety of flavours and variety or drinks to choose from; smoothies to espresso/coffee drinks. Very kind and well spoken staff. Would definetly recommend and go again.

Perhaps what's so appealing about Flapdoodles is the variety of flavors. And although their menu options change periodically, favorites like Cookie Monster and Cake Batter are faithfully stable.The aroma of waffle cones welcomes you as you enter the door and I'm delighted they have now added gluten free as well.The menu still remains a bit overwhelming and the prices are quite high. But for a fun, special dessert date, this is a unique place to go.

The ice cream was really good! The pistachio and black cherry were super yummy and had lot of actual nut/fruit in them. Gotta love a local business with handmade products, go give them some support! They have indoor/outdoor seating and a drive thru!

Amazing ice cream! This place was recommended by a friend so I had to check it out. I ended up getting 12 different pints to try and wasn’t disappointed by any of the flavors! Coffee Chip, Cherry Jubilee and Chocolate PB were my favorites but there still are other flavors I still need to try. Will be back again soon.

Date of Visit: 07/16/2023 - Definitely would recommend stopping at this ice cream parlor if you're in the area! We stopped by on a road trip & LOVED the malted milk and lemon bar flavors! Portions are quite large (one scoop is approximately the size of a baseball). TONS of choices!

The ice-cream is good and the staff were friendly. The store was clean. My biggest concern was the very small number of Sunday options or suggestions. Different places, but Dairy Queen has a myriad of suggestions.

We were just here with our out of town friends. Our friends visited flapdoodles last time they were in Rochester and said it is a must stop place this visit too. We also love this place. Amazing ice cream (so many flavors), atmosphere, service and the poems and quotes on the walls are the best! This is a must visit in Rochester! Also this place gives back to our community! We love that too!

It was amazing. Best ice cream place in the galaxy (there is some competition in Kepler-186) make sure to try some of their seasonals, such as pumpkin cheesecake, you will not regret it. You may regret not living in Rochester however.Unless you move to Rochester for the ice cream...

They make great ice cream and have a large variety of flavors. They don't have a menu of flavors at the drivethrew until you get to the window. If you're a person that takes a while to decide, maybe look online ahead of time. They are also closed on Mondays.

Ice cream here was our reward after biking the Douglass Trail. Flapdoodles had unique flavors, such as lemon cheesecake and banana cream pie. The restaurant was clean, and employees were friendly. Highly recommend!

Wonderful little homeade ice cream parlor! Unique ice cream finds and cute little place! Staff was friendly and ice cream came in little boats if you wanted more than 1 flavor which was very different! Loved this place! Much better than your typical ice cream chains!
