EVERY TIME I go to this* Ace Hardware, whether it is three times a week or three times a month, I am always always greeted in a non-annoying way, and if I have a weird return or inventory question, they are always there to help. I am so impressed with the friendliness, honesty, and professionalism from the employees every time I go here! It makes getting weird Parts, and do dads easy!

Rude male associate whom other reviews (Chris Miller, Onur Demirci, Lydy Hankel), are describing. Or there are many rude people working there. I had the same even worse shopping experience in Burgraff's Ace Hardware. I have learned his name is Dan Avery.I was there to get a key fob programmed and this employee started to act as if it's Dan's Ace Hardware and unprofessionally got angry and upset and refused to serve upon my questions about the key duplication service. He does NOT have a name tag but written "grumpy old man" on this uniform's ID area. When I freely expressed his name tag matching his attitude, he started to use foul language, confronting, not letting me talk, using his arms and hand gestures waving around my body and then told me to leave the store. Also used curse words to describe himself as sob, mf, etc in front of my 75 year old mother whom came to shop as well.I have asked the manager on duty at the time and he was very unfocused, not competent to handle the situation, acted like not much happened to complain. After I made clear that it's his job description to take a complain. He at least understood how bad this is to the business and told me that what I have been through is unacceptable, hence he was not there to do anything rather than handing me a paper for the corporate hq. phine numbers. No deescalating, no apologizing, not even more than 2-3 words but a null face got surprised about why i complain. 2 not deserved but easy paychecks imho. I may apply for a position there too.I have the video and will use proper channels to let people know that all of the complains here above sounds like about the same person and nothing has been done considering those 1 star reviews you find here are 2 to 3 years old and this guy can get away with it. Most likely a family or close friend to the upper scale management or I can't think about any possibility rather than the management keeping this type of unprofessional and 'unacceptable cs rep' on the floor because they might as well not thinking it's unprofessional.Either way, I will never go to Burggraff's place since he lets reckless and rude employees run the show but forgetting that they are the first and the last impression for the store's reputation and it is below zero for me and many people around me.I have traveled 45 minutes (1hr 30 mins round trip) to your store only to be treated as my money is not good for you, that's ok. Maybe you are right, Dan Avery. Other customer (Chris Miller) left a review about a rude guy in the key fob desk, costing the company $200 thinks the same as I do. This is all it takes to have a customer pool drained, one at a time. And it's counting...

Conveniently located (near Barlow's HyVee) and super knowledgeable, friendly staff. I just needed two things, and I was taken directly to them. I hope they do well in this location. It's handy having a hardware store in this part of town--not a big-box store so large it takes forever to walk to where you need to go, especially if you just need bungee cords and a razor blade for a Milwaukee box cutter. Would recommend!

I went here 3 times today picked up a great deal for DeWalt stuff and they helped me out first hand! Came back later for some simple nuts and bolts and got some awesome help then too! Came back needed longer bolts super easy exchange! I was greeted right away when I came in and was helped the whole way through! No need to wander aimlessly down the aisle to try and find what you're looking for in a store you haven't spent much time in!

Usually have available friendly staff near the door that ask if they can point you to something, or help in some way. I have been there several times, and appreciated the assistance! Store is well stocked and cleaned.

Very pleasant and willing to help...(not that I needed any!), but they were there. No more spendy than anyone else. Good selection of nuts, bolts, washers, cotter pins, locking clips, etc. And even bottle corks!Looks like what a hardware store should look like. Clean, orderly, well- stocked....and they had exactly the big blower I wanted. I'll be back.Wonder if they need help.....hmmm...!!UPDATE: Had occasion to call and see if they could order me some blower shoes that no one has in stock in this one-horse town. Matt said they could get them from another store and have 'em in two days....well, they called in 2 days, had 'em waiting at the counter for me. Another 5 stars, guys!!! keep it up!!!Mark H.

This store is awesome- service people are super friendly and work together to help the customer. My sales person has walked me directly to what I was looking for upon entering. I've been there several times now and they have a HUGE inventory. In addition there's parking on the plaza side and also on the north side of their building. HIGHLY recommend

This local business really appreciates you walking in the door. I needed reciprocating saw blades, and they treated me as if I were buying a car. You might want to visit just to see how much variety they have for the smallish space. Less space might equalize into higher quality because they only stock the best brand...

This is a large hardware store! Omg they have a lot of stuff! Well-organized and tidy shelves. This has to be the largest most well-stocked hardware store I’ve ever been to. The metric bolt section made me want to cry it looks so good!

This is what a hardware store should be like. The staff are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They have everything you need and nothing you don't. We have never had to go to a big box store to find something after visiting here; they have it all. We even received a handwritten note thank you note in the mail after purchasing a Stihl trimmer and pruner from them. They don't make hardware stores like this anymore, so support them with your business so we can all enjoy having them in our community!

I went to the store today hoping to support a smaller business instead of one of the big box hardware stores. While the store is obviously well-stocked and very clean and well organized, the male staff I encountered was extremely rude. I had pointed out to him that it looks like they are closed because the windows are so dark for the majority of the building other than the doors, and he told me that they get told that all the time and then cut me off completely. I left without even getting any merchandise that I needed. There was no one else in the store at the time.

Ordered a grill online to be delivered on Saturday. Saturday came and went with no sign of delivery; called on Sunday to check on the delivery. I was told that they don’t deliver in the weekends and somebody was going to call me to let me know. Then rescheduled for Wednesday 10am. I get a call at 1030am on Wednesday saying that they can’t deliver until 130pm. I told them that I cannot just sit around and wait for them and asked to cancel the order; at that point the rude store associate simply hung up on me. What a joke. I had to call back and verify that the order has been cancelled. I will never do any business with this store and will recommend anyone I know to stay away as well. They wasted my time and this rude attitude is unacceptable.

Went in today to have a key cut and reprogrammed. I talked with the guy at the counter and he aked me questions regarding my car and told me the price. I said cool lets do it and he told me no. I said why not and his reply is its raining. I told him my key is malfunctioning and I'm not from the area and i need a key made to continue to drive my car. He said he didn't care and hes not going to get wet to program a key. I asked for a manager and he said he was. I also asked him for the number to customer service and he refused by saying they're not gonna do anything anyway and walked away. This key would of been a $200 sale and he lost it because of his attitude. Dont work retail if you have bad customer service. This should be zero stars.

I've been in Rochester several times to visit my daughter, and Burggaf's Ace hardware has a tradition of providing accurate helpful information and a willingness to help people like me figure out the right steps to take care of home repairs we all need to make. Five Stars just dosen't seem to be enough commendation for this hardware store.

Not a fan of the 2 entry doors. It seems like the employees have a hard time monitoring the entrances, and borderline accuse everyone of stealing by following down every aisle while you shop.
