Dollar General is located on County Road 2 on the outskirts of race Minnesota. It is a very large store and has just about everything you can think of not a small place. The personnel was right there to greet you as you came in the door very pleasant and was able to help you find whatever you're looking for new his store inside and out.

This place is nasty. Staff is no where to be found. I went there the other day had bag my own things she checked me out and walked away. Both of the staff went out to smoke. I almost fell on my face by tripping over the boxes and carts left everywhere! Absolutely nothing on the shelves what so ever, this place needs to be shut down and replaced with a more reliable option. I think it’s EXTREMELY unprofessional and disrespectful to be on your phone while checking people out or while behind the resister. They put lined paper on the window just saying closed for multiple weeks on end. This place is terrible.

It's a bit crowded in terms of everything that they have and such a small store, but I really like the small-town convenience. The cashiers have always been really friendly and helpful. The prices are actually comparable to places like Aldi and Walmart for some products. I love that it's within walking distance.

This store is really surprising. I've even found a few organic items in their grocery dept. And they have a surprising amount of natural/ homeopathic medicines. Even some basic essential oils and carrier oils! And they have fun kitchen towels and cute kitchen curtains for the eclectic taste. Oh and they have great matte lipstick colors in their Broadway line.Got a kid in school that "suddenly remembers he has a report due"? They've got everything you'll need and you won't have to drive to town to get it. Poster board, paint, glitter, stencils, etc.Oh and they are open late too. I love that.And most of the employees are really nice and helpful.

This store in Rice is very misleading on clearence items. Also needs to be more clear on discounted items. The store is too busy and needs to have more cashiers. Need to organize better for checkout line as there is no room to stand. Staff is unorganized and needs to be trained better. Managers included. It's impossible to get a correct answer on even the simple items in the store such as price etc. Watch when they ring up items because if you happen to have an item on sale, chances are it will be incorrect and the line will get even longer because cashier needs to get manager to manually override the price after they try telling you everything is correct which it's not, so double check. The only good thing about Dollar General in Rice is the convenience. When there's not another store around I guess you have to put up with this non sense.

Expensive and staff was unfriendly. Not rude but didn't seem to be happy to be there. Products are very limited and some cheaply made. Plus bathrooms require a key, forcing you to embarrassingly ask a staff member for the key.

Unorganized. Many things not priced. Many boxes and carts blocking isles. No home decorations, only Christmas. A bit disappointing. St Joe and Holdingford have much more to choose from and stores seem clean and organized there.

This store is the definition of awful. Since Adam left, they can't seem to keep any staff or managers. The hours are unpredictable at best. There's always merchandise and u-boats blocking the aisles. Save yourself the hassle and go see Nicole at the Royalton store.

Ive heard of so many raves about the deals at Dollar General so i decided to stop. I was disappointed that i didnt see much for clearance sales. I walked in and the front entrance had clutters of clothes racks & items scattered. Maybe its what they put outside on nice days?? There are tons of isles and about everything ya need for a quick shopping trip. I dont have myself signed up for coupon deals but i saw a lot of yellow tags regarding. Prices are so-so. I didnt find any big bargains. Its a fun shop to check out.

This is by far the worst Dollar General I have ever been in. You could not walk down very many aisle without there being product or packaging and cardboard that you would have to step over to get through. Piles of debri swept into corners and just left there. Cashier, Brandon, and the cashier who clocked out just before he got there leave a lot to be desired when it comes to customer service..I have pictures to explain how messy it was, message me and I will provide them.We do not have a Dollar General, in my town so I stop at those I see when I am driving, never stopping here again!!!!

Amazing staff but horrible “opening” hours even though 90% of the time, it’s closed for who knows what reasons. Why have a store in town when you can just permanently stay closed and have a much more reliable store instead.

The store is in disarray not organized and don't ever have anything on there shelves. I went shopping there a few weeks ago stood in line for 20 minutes mind you there was only 4 people in line with me. Wound up putting my stuff away and went to Royalton DG

Cannot rely on their business hours, multiple days within the last few weeks they just put a hand written note on the door that they are closed. Shelves are never stocked and it's impossible to get around cause there is product and carts all over the place on the floor.

Wondering why it is the last 3 nights my son has stopped by the Rice, MN location and the store has been closed before 10pm no sign on the door or anything just closed. Tonight he stopped by on his way to work at 9:40pm they aren't supposed to be closed until 10:00 pm. Really sucks when u are hoping to get something before work and the store is closed......

Nicely stocked store with a lot of merchandise to pick from. This location sells cloths which is great, large selection of food items. Friendly staff.

The cashier Diane was incredibly rude. Didn't say hello and when my coupons didn't work I asked if I could try to put my phone number in again she just said no with no explanation.
