So I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs over easy, to start eggs were a little over-cooked and not as runny as they should have been the gravy on the steak was so thick and not cooked enough all you could taste was flour.. When the waitress asked me I said it was gross I was not going to eat the steak and promptly returned it to the kitchen. Was charged full price but hey at least as the waitress stated the owners dog was going to get it .. nice I paid to feed the dog ..pics will be included as you can see for yourself.

Great little Ma & Pop restaurant with great food… ordered the omelet and it was packed with ingredients. The Sausage patties are very tasty. Over heard the locals raving about the soup from yesterday and inquiring if any was left. Apparently the pie’s are amazing but we were too full.Would definitely consider making a stop again.

Vegans: try the Double Hashbrowns with veggies ! DelishEat it so fast that I forgot to take a picture lol was pretty too ! Broccoli was nice green and not overcooked.Vegetarian options: Simple Diner/Café so standard options Salat, oatmeal and Hash-browns. Order your Vegan standard goto and dress it up with your own vegan stuff or Hotsauce

This little cafe off the beaten path was great. You get the backwoods Minnesota feel with cabin decor and really life accents from fargo which is odd do to the fact I've never seen it. But back to the food. I ordered the chicken wild rice soup that was perfect and homemade to boot. I had the big foot this is where it arrives at your table and for me to say holy crab that's huge the amount of food was impressive and delicious we left with a box. So stop by this little place and get stuffed.

The Woodsman Cafe is overall good. Good food, good staff and not bad waiting times.It is the only restaurant in Remer so it is nice that it is here. The decor of the place is charming and the seating is comfortable enough. My fries were better than I was expecting and the burger was a little weird but good.

Very good family owned restaurant. My husband and I were visiting & staying in Remer. Friends & family recommended Woodsman Cafe. The young man who waited on us was so friendly & kind, we were very impressed! We stopped in 4 different times, dined in for breakfast twice, dined in for dinner once, and had dinner take out once. Service & food great every time! 🙂👍

This place is only a spot to stop if you are a local. If they don’t recognize you they are rude and will even ask to eat faster so they can accommodate the locals. This has happened to me twice now and both times the food was ok nothing to write home about. They just turned a new local into a none customer as we just purchased in the area. It is worth the drive to go somewhere else.

Portions were very large, burger was ok, everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. We ate here with my aunt while visiting her. There were some massive sweet rolls I would have tried had I not been stuffed. Pies seem to be a big thing there as well. Would stop again if I was in town.

My wife and I have been here a few times. The food has been great every time. They are always busy and usually fairly fast for the amount of people they serve. We have had great service and bad service. The last couple times we have had a server that makes us uncomfortable to even ask for anything. We ask for some creamer and she makes it obvious she is annoyed she has to make an extra trip. She has been tipped well both times because I do feel we ask a little more than your average couple. It is your job to serve your customers, and doing it with a rude attitude is not the way to earn business. If we come back again, and get the same treatment, we will not be coming back. It’s a shame because it’s a great little small town cafe.
