3 level deck to sit on the side of the Marina enjoying the view, the breeze, the company and Loony's totally fun extensive list of craft beers by the glass or by the growler. Totally the place to hangout! Dog friendly. We loved our beers and left with two pints. Small food menu allows you to munch while sampling creative beers. I recommend the blueberry coriander, the Lost Bay IPA, and the jalapeño. Service is great, laid back and inviting.

Good place for a few drinks and live entertainment for sure! It was very busy in here when we were here. Although the service was quick and efficient the decor was interesting! There wasn’t too many options for seating. Lots to entertain you and friends while you’re here though with live entertainment, a game of pool and more! It could use a little up keep but over all if you are here for a few brews pub style I’m sure it will do just fine!

Rainier is an amazing community and Loony’s Pub has a significant part in it. A wonderful brewery, great atmosphere, and often live music. A very large deck for the Summer (and early Fall). Parking can be a little bit of an issue at times.Located on the shores of Rainy Lake, and within a short walk of Rainy Lake Grill and Cantilever Distillery.The owners are both very community minded. An absolute must visit when in Rainier.

I have been wanting to stop in at the brewery for some time and I'm so glad that we finally had the opportunity. We had the opportunity to talk with one of the owners for a while and it was a lot of fun. We tried a lot of their different craft beers and I would have to say that they were all very good. You can come by car or by boat, they have a wonderful dock out in front of their place for you to dock your boat, they have a very large patio and deck so you can enjoy the views of the lake . If you are in the area vacationing I would highly recommend Loony's Brew!!!

Amazing patio, right on Rainy lake with Canada in the distance. They have plenty of beers available to sample and a flight of 4 was $8. It was a peaceful day when we visited, had our dog on their patio and enjoyed the view while we sampled some beers. There is a brand new distillery across the street, ice cream stand next door and we say quite a few kayakers stop by and put in from the beach here.

What a super laid back and chill kind of bar - it almost made me feel like I was back in the south at a waterfront dive bar with great people and such a relaxing atmosphere! Choose to sit inside, outside along the main building, or get cozy with the lake on the lower deck.The craft beer was great for the inexpensive price! Our bartender was patient with us being new and let us sample their brews before ordering - cool guy, very hospitable.

Great super-casual place on the water. Hard to find, but worth a stop. Is the craft beer going to win awards? No, but it's plenty good, and made in small batches.We stopped in after a day of kayaking, and felt right at home. The owners ate pretty laid-back guys, very friendly.

It's a little dive-y on the inside. But I really like that they have a huge variety of beers on tap. I had a tasty and smooth IPA, my wife had a blueberry beer that was loaded with flavor. They have some nice outdoor seating with great views of the lake.

We stopped in today on a cold, rainy Monday afternoon. Just my husband and I, plus a couple of locals in there. We spent a couple of hours enjoying the delicious beers, and chatting with the owner, Matt. Looking forward to another visit, perhaps when it's a little warmer and we can enjoy the outdoor space! Either way, we enjoyed our time and can't wait to go back!

Truly a hidden gem up in Northern Minnesota, Looney’s Brew is the place to hang out with friends and family on their gigantic deck bar.New this year is the Peach Apricot beer - delicious!

I have to leave a review here so that people can better appreciate this place, because I see a lot of mixed reviews. I’ve traveled many places, I’ve been drunk in many bars, and I’ve met a lot of nice people. However, this small bar, right on the docks of the lake, had the most hospitable people I’ve ever met, and the best bang for my buck in drinks I’ve had in the state. So sure, if you just wanted a quiet drink or a table to yourself with your friends, maybe this isn’t the place for you. However, if you want an authentic feeling experience, this is the place to be.

Loony’s Pub is the best combination of dive bar and brewery. It overlooks Rainy Lake and has that perfect warm and welcoming interior. Every beer we tried (we did two flights) were delicious and we were able to try samples of any beer they had as well. The staff was kind and allowed for great conversation. We would 100% go back!

The beers are really good and they have a large selection of beer styles on tap tried them all not a bad one in the bunch. The staff is very friendly and happy to talk about the beers. They have a few food items available as well

We had a snowmobile give out and had to stop here for some warmth and brews. All brews are made in house ; delicious stout and the locals shared their potluck dinner with us woeful souls! How kind. What a lovely little dive.

Perfect local watering hole. Extensive craft beer list to go along with the full bar, beautiful views of the lake (they have outside seating plus a big patio), and ice cream shop is right across the street if you've got kids with you. Pizza and pool table onsite too. Enjoy.

The craft beer is HORRIBLE, probably the worst I've tasted, but the staff and location/atmosphere were great! Just get the bottled beer and enjoy and the view with friends
