I could not recommend the staff and services anymore. When we had to bring our dog in for an emergency visit, they were very transparent about pricing and options from the beginning. They were patient with all of our questions and concerns. They also send updated phone calls, texts and emails which creates such a peace of mind. The building itself is also very beautiful and clean!

In my experience, my pup behaves less anxious here than any other vet. The staff are all very friendly and accomodating. The techs and veterinarians take the time to connect with your pet and put them at ease. I would recommend to anyone looking for a new care center.

Had an emergency with my pug Vlad, since his regular vet couldn’t see him. I called a few different places and one place told me to call Prior Lake cause they do emergencies. And they do not, mistake made on my part. Waited almost 2 hours for someone to even come into the room and see Vlad. But the staff are SO amazing and polite!! I felt a little embarrassed cause he made a mess on the floor. I would definitely come here again!!

Our hunting dog Russell, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, had a collision with a cattail last weekend that jammed into his nose. My husband cleaned it as well as he could, but it was obvious over the next two days that Russell was NOT happy. I called PLPH during regular work hours and they were able to squeeze him in between appointments. The vet sedated him and was able to locate and remove a 3 cm stick from WAY up his nose. We were amazed and thrilled that he was able to handle a tricky situation as quickly and efficiently as he did. We have 3 dogs and we are so glad that a friend made the recommendation. Highly recommended.

Dr.Albright was extremely thorough and not rushed throughout our visit. He detailed a couple of observations regarding my dog’s meds (seizure related) that I had not previously heard. Much appreciated and we will continue with this vet! Highly recommend!!

Noted an issue with our cat on a Friday afternoon and our usual vet clinic recommend we get her seen right away, but they didn’t have any openings. We called Prior Lake Pet Hospital about their urgent care services and made the decision to drive down. The staff were kind and helpful and we were able to wait with our cat in the exam room after intake while waiting for the exam/labs. Anyway, Dr. Clements was so great and explained everything well. We were very happy with our experience there and would recommend them to anyone who has an urgent need arise with their pet.

Probably the best vet experience I’ve ever had! I work in the pet care industry and had a feline guest with an emergency. Called nearly every E vet in the cities, all said they were at capacity. PL was able and willing to see us just before closing. The facility was clean, staff was amazing, and they figured out what was going on with the pet in about 15 minutes. The doctor and techs were kind, helpful, efficient, informative. If I lived in the area I would 100% take my own pets here!

I received outstanding service from this clinic. My dog slipped and fell on the ice and needed medical attention, we scheduled an appointment with them but I got the dates mixed up and arrived a day early. Despite being there on the wrong day they were able to accommodate me and see my dog immediately. I was so relieved that they were able to get my dog in as she ended up having a broken bone in her foot. The staff reached out with updates and billing information accordingly. This allowed for me to have no surprises and I was able to pay over the phone with them for my dogs care. I would recommend this clinic to anyone that has a pet for their friendly staff members, responsiveness, and professionalism. Our dog was well taken care of during her time there.

I am posting on behalf of my boyfriend's dog and our urgent care experience. We called right away on a Saturday morning to see about bringing in our dog into urgent care. Never been seen here before with a dog best described as an old-school farm dog, they we so kind and patient. They were able to get him into a room right away and communicated every option and price estimate before taking any action. The experience here was so great, we ended up transferring PERMANENTLY for future care! We highly recommend and cannot be happier with every staff member who helped us at Prior Lake Pet Hospital!

I was very grateful that I was able to get into urgent care with our dog after being turned away at several other vet clinics due to staffing issues. The interior of this clinic is very nice. The costs also were very reasonable, especially for being taken in on short notice for urgent care.

Brought my dog to urgent care here for his eye. Everyone I talked with was very friendly and nice to work with. Even though they estimated a 1-2 hour wait, luckily it was faster than anticipated and the entire process was handled so smoothly. I have a vet that’s closer to me who I like working with, otherwise I’d love to use them as primary care for my dog. If an urgent care need arises again, we will come back. I want to say thank you to your team for handling my dog so well. He’s a baby when it comes to being seen at the vet but they were patient and kind with him.

We brought in our kitty Desza last Sunday for an emergency visit. We live in Lakeville and usually bring our kitties somewhere else, however we ended up finding Prior Lake Pet Hospital when we needed care and our primary vet was not open. Prior Lake Pet Hospital handled our situation very courteously and quickly. I was impressed by the establishment and not to mention the staff. They were so caring and kind to answer all of our questions and made sure Desza was in good hands. They did an amazing job taking care of our fur baby. I can not say enough positive things about this facility. We ended up on their doorstep due to an urgent matter, which resulted in euthanasia of our sweet little munchkin of a dog. They were absolutely amazing at the care they provided, the explanations, the kindness to our dog in her last hours but also to us. It was so impressive how the doctor and the staff went out of their way to support us in our time of need. Honestly, I would love to tell everyone to go there, you will NOT be disappointed. We were so lucky to end up on their doorstep when it was exactly what was the absolute best place to be for us. I can not thank the hospital enough for their kindness, but the support and caring nature we received from our doctor was unbelievable. Thank you.

First of all - I want to say that they are an absolute amazing and caring vet! My husband and I just moved from Texas to Minnesota a little over a month ago. Our dog stopped eating on Thursday and was straining to the go to the bathroom. This was our first time taking her to the vet since we moved up to Minnesota. We took her to another vet around 4:30 PM and they did blood work and an X-Ray. The results showed that she needed emergency surgery or she may not survive. They transferred us to Prior Lake Pet Hospital for the emergency surgery. We called them on the way and when we got there - one of their techs met us at the door and took our dog right in. My husband filled out the registration information. Brittany, the tech was absolutely amazing. She came out and talked to us and said that the doctor would be out shortly and that she would text me with updates through-out our dogs surgery. Dr. Clements came out to discuss the procedure and what we could expect the next couple of days. She said that she would be getting ready for surgery shortly after and would call us after to let us know how it went. It was a big surgery and I cannot express how AMAZING Dr. Clements was throughout this whole process. She called me that (Thursday) night at 10:40 PM with an update. She is absolutely incredible. She let us know that one of their techs would call me Friday morning with an update but that my dog was stable and her vitals were good. She put my mind at ease and I cannot thank her enough for that! The next morning, I heard from one of their techs with an update. The doctor called me around 12:00 PM with another update. My husband and I went and saw our dog that afternoon and I immediately asked to see Dr. Clements. She had just gotten in but she came in to talk to my husband and I and give us an update right away. She felt it was best that our dog stayed one more night to get all of the medications and care that she needed. We picked her up yesterday (Saturday) and the tech went over everything including the medications. Even though they had just had several urgent appointments come in - Dr. Clements came over and discussed everything with us and her home care instructions. She answered all of our questions and told us to bring our dog back or call if we needed anything at all. The entire staff was absolutely AMAZING! Dr. Clements is one of a kind and terrific. If you need a vet - I highly recommend them.

Our dog Shadow had a minor obstruction and they were great here! They have the best interest of the owners and animals in mind for sure. We had to do the urgent care but even with it being urgent care, they were very affordable. Honestly, one of the best vets I’ve been to. My main one and here is the only places, I will take my animals to.

I live in Minnetonka and had 3 emergency experiences in 5 months with my beloved cat Lucy. Every time, I called 2-3 vets near me and they said “nope, we have no room.” Every. Single. Time. Prior Lake made room for my Lucy.Currently, people have to wait outside while the vet sees the pet inside, and that’s super tough. Regardless, they do the best job possible. About a month ago, after an emergency visit, the Vet Dr called me and my husband with all the info and we made the decision to put Lucy down.We were DEVASTATED. But the staff welcomed us into the end of life room. We spent as much time as possible together. The staff answered every question, and the Dr spent so so much time with us.February 15, 2023 was easily one of the most painful days of my life. My heart still hurts so so much. The only redeeming factor of that day was my experience Dr. Thyra, and the willingness of this clinic to help my girl regardless of them being busy. I will be forever grateful of their attentiveness when she needed it the most.

Dr. Tubman and staff are amazing. We have been taking our dogs here for 10+ years. Their expertise and compassion were really felt during a recent experience with them. With healthy dogs there may not be a lot of difference between vets, however, if you find yourself in need of urgent or critical care you want the best for your animals. Prior Lake Pet Hospital is wonderful. Would recommend to anyone.

We cannot say enough good things about Prior Lake Pet Hospital/Urgent Care. We had repeated visits to Urgent Care with our senior dog. They were so accommodating and fit us in every time with short notice. The staff are beyond professional, well educated, compassionate, and responsive. The vets were able to quickly detect and figure out what was wrong with our dog, where other clinics were not. Staff took the time to really explain the diagnosis, treatment, and care options as well as answer all our questions. We were so sad to have found this wonderful place so late in our dog's life and in the event of an emergency. They helped us keep our dog comfortable in the last days of his life and we are forever grateful with the assistance provided as we navigated this difficult process.
