I drove 45 minutes to pick up my first chainsaw because this Ace was the closest that had the one I ordered online. It was kinda busy but they had a few employees working so I definitely didn't wait, the lady behind the counter was super attentive even though you could tell it's been a busy day. She knew exactly where my saw was and even talked me into Ace Rewards, and she even offered to get me the points I missed out on by not signing up for the rewards program before buying my saw! "I'll get you taken care of" was her exact quote, the older gentleman even took the time to educate me about sharpening the chain. Super helpful crew! If they weren't so far from me I'd be a regular customer there! Ty so much Carlson Ace team!

I needed some keys made. The gentleman that helped me was very nice and I tested the keys when I got home. They worked perfectly.It is always nice when you walk through the door of a business and someone asks if they can help you. Especially when they really can help you when you tell them what you are looking for. Instant service and no long wait to check out. I'm and back out with what you need in just a few minutes.

First time visiting this location and all I can say is I will be back. The service was excellent. I was looking for a shovel I thought was in stock. They looked for more in back and found them and assembled it for me. They also have a great assortment of home repair items.

I went to this store to buy some nuts and bolts however I was having a hard time finding the right bolts…there was course and fine thread bolts mixed together and I could only find 1 matching bolt. After spending too much time and no one approached me to help I decided to walk out and go somewhere else. As I was walking out they made a comment that I was back there for a while and I said too long. I wouldn’t even bother writing a review but the lady followed me out to my truck and made another comment that I was back by the nuts and bolts for a while (like I stole some cheap nuts and bolts)If I was back there for so long why didn’t you come to help? When I walked out one employee was talking to a customer and she was just standing there so you weren’t busy.After the attitude I will never be back to this Ace plus last year they couldn’t even cut a piece of plexiglass straight for me

Only place in the cities that stocked a certain hand cart I was searching for. Mitch from there other Prior Lake Ace got me dimensions and made sure it was on hand. Great service all around. I normally shop at the store in New Hope by me, glad to know that if I'm away from home I will still have help with any hardware needs. Thank you Ace Hardware!

I love hardware stores. Stopped here just to check clearance shelf. Store was very cluttered. Wandered aimlessly looking for storage bins and clearance items. Wasn't asked if I needed help or even acknowledged so it was okay. I'm thankful my local Lakeville ACE is better organized and has better customer service. LL

My mother had purchased an item on November 11, 2020, intended to be a Christmas gift. Unfortunately the item wasn't in stock and was on back order (which is understandable in a pandemic and with upcoming holidays) but we were assured they would be contacting us when it came in.Weeks passed and as the holidays drew near, no contact was made by the store so we reached out to check on the status. We were informed that the item was still on back order and may not come in until a few days after Christmas.On January 2nd, I called the store to ask about the status of the item. They informed me that the item that was ordered had been discontinued and asked if I would like to change the model for a slightly different variation. I agreed and was assured the changes were made and that a note had been placed on the file to contact us as soon as it had come in since we had been waiting for two months at that point. The woman on the phone informed me that they were expecting a shipment towards the end of January and that I should expect a phone call sometime around then--and if I didn't hear from anyone, to call on February 3rd.I called today, February 5th, and was informed that the shipment had come in, many of the items were already "tagged" (I assume that means labeled for others waiting as well) and that there was "one still left here" and "they must not have gone back far enough in the system to check for your name." I asked for the item to be set aside and that I would drive to pick it up.During this 3 months, not once were we contacted about the status of our order. Every phone call was from us, the paying customer. One could assume had we not called about our product, you would have just happily pocketed our money and thought nothing more about it. While I understand things are difficult during this time, this is no way to treat a paying customer.From one small business owner to another, do better. You have lost my respect as well as any future transactions from us.

I needed hardware for an old bunk bed and stopped in at Ace. The guy who helped me was truly an expert and helped me figure out what I was missing. These guys really KNOW what they're selling, unlike the cavernous big box stores where the internet is your only source of help.

Worst customer service I have ever had! Someone put the part in the wrong spot and they refused to fix the price even tho their employees were not busy and could have fixed it easily and instead of giving me the 14.99 part for 9.99 they would rather lose my business and argue with me on the price of the thing. Take my warning and advice! DO NOT COME HERE! They will argue with you even tho, the customer is right! Look at the cameras I didn’t put it there!

This is an outstanding hardware store that has everything you could need. From painting to yard care to hardware to tools and everything in between, they are great to deal with and very knowledgeable. Spend some time working with a local business versus the big box stores if you want a personal touch and to support some great people.

I believe the man's name is Jeremy but he was very knowledgeable on his stains and gave me some killer advice and direction. Its rare you go into these places and actually find a worker who knows a dang thing about anything. Most are like the guy who rang me out... mid 40s maybe and didn't have a clue how to do the simplest tasks. Messed up my checkout adding a 1000 dollar purchase some how idk but then couldn't get it off and I could tell he was absolutely lost and had 0 problem solving skills and also had not a clue about anything else. After sitting there for litterly 10 min while he couldn't figure it out I pulled the screen my way and did it in 1 minute without ever running the software before... but anyway Jeremy saved the store from a 1 star. LOL those people are the ones who the company needs to pay well and keep anABoard.

Brought in a screen for repair, told it was done within an hour. I thought it was a mistaken text, but it was not. Great service, will use them again. FYI- if you need any type of screw, nut, etc., they probable have it.

Don’t buy tools here. I bought the biggest pair of bolt cutters I could find at this store for a project at home. Ended up not neeeding them at all. They never even left my vehicle. I go back to the store to return them and the employee goes “sorry no returns on tools. We are not in the business of took rentals.” (Implying I bought them used them and am now returning them) in which if that were the case and you saw a blemish on them I could understand if you didn’t return them but they never left my vehicle. She rudely points to the no return sign which wasn’t a sign it was the size of a sticky note.Mom and pap shops like this go out of business for reasons like this.My advice. Go to a big corporation like Home Depot or Lowe’s

Was in the market for a new traeger. They were the only ones that had the timberline 850 in stock. Not only did they have the product but also the knowledge. Employee that helped me seemed to take great pride in selling the traeger to me. Bought first treager at home depot (mistake)! Never again. Not only do these guys put together the grill for you, but they also season it for you!one less step to start your first smoke on the grill. Also was given a free grill cover and bag of pellets as a promo, idk anywhere else that does that.(especially home depot) Price was good. Service was great. Best of all, local company. Will only shop here from now on for all my traeger needs.

Don't get chainsaw blades sharpened here. I brought in 5 it took 2 hours to do just 4 of them and I still haven't gotten my ripping blade back because they didn't know how to sharpen it. I used one of the 4 this past weekend and not only is it about half a blade now but it wasn't even sharp. It was easily twice as sharp after resharpening by hand.

They find everything I need if they dont have , they help find it or just simply help with advise. I do a lot of home projects. This guys are awsome. Willing to help on anything . Manager is really cool man . I forgot his name. Man you are doing great job. Keep it up.
