Big shout out and a gratitude of praise to Dr.Amy Lorenz and Plainview Animal Clinic. Traveling from South Carolina to visit family in Plainview got us in need of veterinary care. Our rescue pup, Pheebe, had a open hot spot on her right leg and our vet had put her on a topical ointment. I swear the ointment was chicken flavored and we soon found ourselves putting a cone on the poor girl to give the ointment some time to work. With over two months of little to no improvement we knew it was time to seek a second opinion. In the doors of Plainview Animal Clinic we were greeted by friendly staff and a clean working environment. Dr. Lorenz was personable and professional and pointed out that ointment was a topical solution and that there was a need to address a greater issue. Steroids and antibiotics was the answer and in a timely manner and reasonable cost we were out the door. In a matter of weeks the sore completely healed and one really has to look to find the original spot. Our pittie mix was happy too as there was no fat shaming as she tends to be a little thick. Thanks to Dr.Lorenz and if it wasn’t for the 21 hour drive she would be our new vet.

Have been with them for about 24 years, always pleasant to work with and very down to earth, practical and loving toward my dogs. Would highly recommend Dr. Morath and the entire team there. Recently had to have my 13 yr. Old Golden retriever put to sleep, they helped me work through this difficult process.

Well I have been going to this vet Dr.Lorenz back when she was at Farmington. I think I’ve been seeing her for more than 20 years. When she decided to open her practice I followed here to the clinic in Plainview. Which is a 1 hour and 20 minute drive for me and that’s one way. That’s how much I trust her with my fur babies. Which they truly are. She will get to the bottom of the problem, or she will find the answers. I trust her recommendations which she tells me like if they were her furry kids.I would recommend Dr. Amy Lorenz to anyone even if she is located where she’s at, I would follow her out of state if I had to for like serious stuff !!!!Either way I think like 5-6 family members went to her before she opened her own practice. A couple still do because they love and trust her opinions and because she is a wonderful vet. Takes the time to get things done will only do what she thinks should be done. The staff is amazing. Friendly, open to communication and most of all helpful. Price is great compared to what you find at most places. I live over an hour away and still take the time to drive Baxter all the way to plainview for any of his care.

We brought our two 16 week old puppies in today for their very first appointment. Parking is easy, the reception area is spacious, and the exam rooms are clean and roomy.Dr. Wayne Douglas and the staff are great! They did a great job with our dogs and just rolled with the punches when Bella unexpectedly dropped a deuce on the table while getting her nails trimmed! 🐶🐶💩

Dr. Mike Morath Is amazing, and runs his business with integrity. Very impressed with the care our dog received from both Mike and the other staff. Our little Chihuahua can be quite a stinker, but they are understanding and worked with me to make sure he had the best care possible. I drive all the way from Rochester to Plainview because it’s worth it.

Im gonna be honest, i cancelled my appointment for my cat because i dont like the rudeness i was getting on the phone. Ive only been here once before, and experienced it then too. In person was slightly different except one of the girls gave off a more negative vibe than the people that actually dealt with one of my cats. This second time i just all around didnt even bother after that phone call. It drove me away immediately and made me feel kind of bad. I was unable to fully explain what he needed care for, and her trying to figure it out and ask questions made her sound like it was a huge bother. She got snippy and you could just hear the eye roll through the phone. Not coming back 😅

I had amazing experiences here prior to the new Veterinarian taking over. I brought my puppy in after adopting him from a farm and expressed concern for him having fatigue and frequent urination. I asked several times about lyme disease testing. I was told they wouldn't do it because he was to young and puppies typically don't have the outside exposure. I expressed again that he was in a barn and outside and we brought him home at about 12-14weeks. I paid for several reccomended urine tests . When I expressed concern about him not even wanting to get up out of his kennel and extreme fatigue she was adamant it was because he had a UTI and the infection was causing fatigue. Then his 3rd urine test came back normal, he was still having symptoms. I was told his peeing is behavioral, no explanation for fatigue. He then tested positive for lyme disease in January of this year and they sent him home with antibiotics and told us to watch him for a few days for symptoms... in January. Very unlikely that my dog got lyme disease in January or the few months prior. That was his first lyme disease test and he had been on flea and tick prevention ever since I adopted him. I asked for her to call me about the situation and no such luck. They blew us off. Meanwhile I spent money on unnecessary repeated tests and watched my dog suffer. Thanks

The staff at plainview animal clinic are great! The other day I picked up my boxer after a dental procedure. It was late in the day and she was the only animal left. When I came into the office she was running around like she owned the place, happy as can be. The staff had given her treats and all. That is care and love and the reason I have been driving 40+ miles for 6 years for my pups! Thanks plainview animal clinic for taking such great care of my girls!

First- the website brings you to a Texas Vet clinic. We had called that number. About 5 minutes away we realized this, but decided we would still go and see if there was an opening or schedule a visit. The lady at the front desk was printing a receipt, but after 10 minutes of standing there holding our puppy and not being acknowledged, but looked at multiple times, we decided to leave.

Joker ripped one of his front paw' s middle toe nail on Wed evening. Thursdays morning the nail was sideways n Joker was having problems walking. We called the veterinary office and was seen by 11:30. The doctor and staff promptly helped Joker and were very caring. Thank you so much for all quick and compassionate care you showed Joker!

Plainview Animal Clinic "treated" my cat for a blocked urinary tract. Sent him home to me still sick and gave him medicine that caused him to throw up the next day. It was a weekend so the animal clinic was not open for me to bring him back in. They recommended Rochester 24 hour, but after 45 minutes I could not get a hold of anyone. I found out through calling around that Plainview Veterinary Clinic was open 24 hours, but since they were competition for the Animal Clinic they were not mentioned. My cat ended up dying b/c he was vomiting from the medication and his untreated/still full bladder burst. Worst experience ever and it could have been prevented if they had treated him correctly or suggested the other clinic right away. Plainview VETERINARY Clinic is the place for your animals, NOT the animal clinic.

Dr Mike treated a kidney failure kitty that another vet wanted to euthanize.. She came around under his care and is doing fine.. My Dog was losing weight and having started urinating in the house all of a sudden.. In one day he diagnosed it as diabetes.. We started her on insulin the next day.. Now you'd never know she had an affliction.. Always great results here and reasonable charges as well..worth the 25 mile drive !
