Stopped in a couple of times to buy soda pop. Store was a disaster. Stocking carts in front of shelves. Couldn't get to the merchandise. Walked out again. Went to the Backus store which was better. Will avoid Pine River store at all costs.

For several months now, the store has been in a state of complete disarray. Many aisles have several large carts filled with merchandise that prevent a person being able to walk down the aisle. Another reviewer provided pictures of this and I can say that they are not exaggerating. Unless you are very thin, it is difficult to squeeze in between the carts and aisle shelves. You cannot push a cart down the aisle. It is inaccessible for wheelchair users. I usually only see one employee in the store whenever I stop in, and I feel bad for them. My last visit however sealed the fact that I will never stop in this store again.

It’s just ok it’s clean enough but it seems empty and dull like they just shake up the store every month and lose some pieces. Like the place doesn’t seem finished there’s always carts blocking items or empty isles there’s a random dairy cooler in the middle of the store that always has like three packs of Bologna and some almond milk that always makes me think just why? It’s a odd store but they do have good prices and when you do find what you are looking for it’s great. I feel bad since they seem understaffed so I hope they can get that all checked out and fixed.

This is one of the better Dollar Generals I've been to. They really have a wide variety of products at good prices. They are surprisingly clean and efficient in their check out. They have limited handicapped parking, the bathrooms are large, one person handicapped accessible. Their only limiting factor would be in their crowded entry, oftentimes filled with sales and/or clearance items and their aisles which are sometimes filled with boxes or carts waiting to be unpacked. For most people this is not a problem, but for the handicapped individual, especially those in wheelchairs or using crutches or cane(s) it could be. The people who work there are all helpful. I think over multiple visits I've asked them all questions of one sort of another and they've all been able to answer me. If not for the handicapped issue, I would give them five stars.

It was horrible.i made purchases at dollar general in pine river MN. When complete I noticed that it hadn't taken off the discounts that was advertised. I showed the cashier the mistakes and he told me to step back and wait because he had more customers to wait on and that's had to wait. That was a wait I deemed not necessary. My total was 79.00 dollars. I waited until he seemed it was ok.he then said I had to wait once again for the assistant manager named Bonnie. So I had to wait again.finally she waited on me. Not believing me I walked her around to see the discount signs. Buy on get 1/2 off next etc. She wasn't happy about waiting on me. I was polite but not after her rude remarks to me. We then went back to the register .she proceeded to look at the receipt, again I waited and waited. She redid the receipt (that took over a half hour) said I get 20.88 cents back but couldn't get a credit on my credit card so had to get a gift card. It was worthless to me because I will never walk in that store again.thats too bad because I would go in their at least twice a week. But never againI worked with the public all of my working days.never ever would I treat a customer the way I was treated.other customers shook their heads as the way she talked to me. I feel I deserve an apology for the way I was treated and the some.i send this in good faith and hope dollar general will at least apologize to me for this horrible incident. Never again will I step into the dollar general in Pine River, mn

Consistent with others in the chain. This is not a dollar store. Prices vary. Good variety for a small town. Although you aren't buying the building, the Pine River MN store is a nice design. Good parking.

They were cleaning the store, but they had alot of new stock in the aisles making it hard to find what you were looking for. People working were friendly, concerned if you found everything ok.

Definitely go to the Pequot Lakes store-- not Pine River. Pine River cashiers are extremely rude. Last several experiences at Pine River store has made Pequot Lakes my primary store. Their cashiers are courteous and helpful.

I see why people can't eat healthy and overweight in America. You throw a few general dollars up in rural areas it's a convinece vs traveling 30 min to a actual grocery store and get healthier food. Nothing but junk food here

I go there alot to save money, but it is hard to get through the line to pay let alone find someone to check me out. They really need more employees to help keep things moving smoother.

This is my favorite store ever. I can spend a lot of time in here because it has everything I need. My son loves pushing the little kid cart around while we shop.

Sale items didn't ring up correctly. More than once had to return to store for money owed. Good customer service tho. At the backus mn location

There was only one cashier working on a busy day, we weren't able to get our purchased ice as a result. The cashier needed a labeled key, or a designated key location, she couldnt find the key and had a line out the door. The prices were low, and cashier was friendly.

I go there enough that I help the staff locate where product is. They know me by name . Not sure that's a good thing , but it's a small town and was bound to happen
