It was awesome. Our stay couldn't have been better. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The room and linens were clean and the amenities were tremendous! You also can't beat the view from our room and the pool area. I have never seen a hotel that has a kid's playground, a public firepit area, and frisbee golf nets. Very family friendly. I would highly recommend the AmericInn in Pequot Lakes, MN!

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was clean and quiet. Our room was spacious and bed was comfortable. The staff was both welcoming and very friendly. We will be back.Rooms: We stayed in the corner King Suite with hot tub. It was very clean and affordable. This room was spacious and I loved that the bathroom counter was large and roomy for our toiletries and it was located on the outside of the bathroom. The room also had a coffee table and couch that pulled out into a bed, if needed. The free-standing pine closet was a cute touch. Our view was of the parking lot and trees which was very pretty and a quiet location. We will be back.

Nice hot breakfast most days except the days when eggs are hockey puck fried. The scrambled and omelets are much better. Only have seen bacon 2 days a week. Sausage patties most days. Waffle maker is nice and there is a stocked fridge and fruit.I don't like going to sleep with news on for background noise and waking up to sesame Street because the cable cuts off after couple of hours and the TV is set to PBS.Staff is friendly. This place is nice!

We have come here twice for a getaway on our anniversary. It is a very well kept hotel with friendly staff. We come for low key activity but there are many here for the local offerings. It appears to be an excellent family get away in warmer months as there is a fire pit stoked with wood, mini golf, a play set, volleyball net, and nice patio for meals on the lawn. Also conveniently close to the Paul Bunyan Trail.Rooms: Nice! We always get the bubble tub.Nearby activities: Plenty to do.Walkability: Paved walking and biking trail nearby.Food & drinks: Plenty local and within 20 min drive.

Great location. We were in a room on the top level facing towering pine trees which was very quiet and beautiful. Comfy beds. Breakfast was okay. Tip: turn on your water in room. Our water wasn't working but they fixed it when we told them. Not the best water pressure but cute hotel. Friendly staff.

I just stayed at the hotel this past week for a work trip. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff was great, the hotel was clean, breakfast had a lot of options to chose from, the grounds were beautiful (even when the weather wasn't so great). I also liked the fact that the room had a refrigerator and microwave. The whole place had a real 'at home' feel to it. I would definitely recommend staying here. I think it would be especially nice for families with the indoor pool, spacious patio area to sit outside and grassy area to play outdoor games, etc. I will definitely be back!

Excellent hotel and staff! This was by far the quietest hotel stay I have ever had. Everything here is done with the greatest care for an exceptional guest experience. Sarah was so nice and friendly. Her personality and service level was first class and a text book example of how it's done! Beautiful courtyard and covered patio, all with a classy and current rustic feel. Very close to the Paul Bunyan State trail. Easy to get to and close to the Brainerd area. Highly recommended! We had a king jacuzzi suite with fireplace, that's the way to go.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times and it's always been a good experience. The rooms are clean and smell nice. They have a bonfire pit you can use, horse shoes, and a play area for kids. They also have a nice patio. The free breakfast is decent, nothing special but nothing to complain about. I think this is one of the nicest Americinns I've ever stayed at.

I just LOVED my stay here! One night was not nearly long enough. I didn't even have a chance to take advantage of their arcade games, pool table and sauna but I did check out the pool and hot tub! Also had a whirlpool in my suite which was literally almost double the size of other whirlpools I've had elsewhere. Speaking of comparisons, their pool room is open until midnight and opens at 6am. I've never seen awesome hours like that anywhere else... the front desk lady said "we like to keep it convenient for everyone!" THANK YOU! The continental breakfast was great as well. Nice variety - my husband would have loved bacon instead of sausage but that certainly was not a deal-breaker!Lastly, the architecture was jaw-dropping! 5 star hotel for sure!!
