The staff here are incredible! My family brought our pets here when I was in high school and now I bring my own pets here as an adult. They care about the animals and are always willing to answer questions we have. They took amazing care of our dog when she was sick with parvo and got her back to full health. I will trust my pets health to this place for as long as they are open and in business.Love going here!

I have a seasonal home near Pelican Rapids, and have used Weckwerth for both routine and emergency care for my 3 dachshunds. Dr. Brett, Alexis, and the entire staff have always been very kind, courteous, and helpful. Their prices are very reasonable and I highly recommend them!

I love every one there. They love your pets as if they are their own...I usually see Dr Henkes but lately I get scheduled with other vet without notice and that is something I don't care for. Prices have gone up a bit too.

We are always treated like VIPs, with Bigs' care the priority. The staff are very friendly and caring, experienced and helpful. Clean facility and gentle handling make you and your beloved pet very comfortable and at ease. Everything, including pricing is very well explained, and all options presented with all risks and benefits explained up front. We are very pleased with all the cares we've gotten from Weckwerth Animal Hospital, and plan to stay, even with the 20 mile drive to get there! Thank you!

We've always had great experiences over the past almost seven years we've brought Elli to PRAH (and formerly Weckwerth). Whether it was a regular wellness checkup or an unscheduled medical issue, they've always provided appropriate care with gentle kindness. I have always owned pets, so visiting and spending lots of money at the vet is not new to me. Once I found Dr. Henkes at Weckwerth Animal Hospital, going to the vet was not stressful for anyone. He provides the best care at a price that it so much more reasonable than other vets that we have had. My dogs can sense that he and the others that work with him truly care for them. They all make you smile right when you walk through the door. They are also using technology to schedule and make sure you don't forget your appointment. It was so convenient to get my dog into the vet when it fit into my schedule as well. I like this place so much that I tell my friends and family all about our great experiences there.

Great service and very caring. We live in Bismarck and brought our golden retriever to Dr. Henke a few years ago when she tore her ACL. The surgery went great and she has not had any problems. When she was limping on the other leg this past week we called and they fit her into their schedule the next day. Great staff and veterinarian!

I drive here from the fm area because they are that good. They are very personable, offer an array of services, and can keep my dog happy. This is harder than it sounds because she's a big baby and whines easily. Overall, a fantastic veterinarian facility. 😍

Our dog had a very large fatty tumor on his back leg last year. He was 15 at the time and because of his age, where the tumor was located and if it could be removed successfully, it was a big decision as to weather or not we should put him through the surgery. Dr. Weckwerth talked to us many times and gave us all the information we needed to make our decision. We went ahead with the surgery and everything went perfectly. Tanner is doing Great and the best part was seeing that the staff were as excited about his results as we were. They're all great and I wont bring my animals anywhere else!

All of the staff treat you and your pets with the upmost respect and care you could ever hope for. Their attention to detail leaves you knowing you are in good hands. We couldn't be more pleased with Dr. Henkes and his staff. He has taken us in several different times without an appointment for emergency situations. He has saved 5 of our cats now and answered many questions we have had. If you want a vet who truly cares about your pet, we highly recommend Weckwerth Animal Hospital. His staff has the same care and concern as the doctors do. The prices aren't unreasonable either.

I recently took my elderly cat to Weckwerth Clinic and had a incredibleexperience as did my very crabby old cat. She was a feral kitten so stillwould not let anyone touch her. They took time with her and she came home a new kitty. The other patients and their owners seemed to be pleased also at the clinic...I highly recommend the vets and staff atWeckwerth.

This place is so amazing and kind. My 4 year old was heart broken when we had to drop our dog off for her to get spayed and all the staff were so kind and understanding and willing to talk to my daughter about it. Such an amazing experience! :) I recommend this place to anyone!

Under new ownership. Very personable but my cat needed meds. He wanted to do blood workup ($180.00) every 2 months. To make sure dosage was right. Went to a local place in town and was charged $30.00.

I need to give a shout out to Weckwerth Animal Hospital. When I came to the realization that my beloved Baxter was done in this life, I really wanted to have him pass at my Mom's in Fergus Falls, about 2 hours from where I live. She has a beautiful space that he would spend hours upon hours smelling her flowers and ensuring all trees belonged to him. They also have a beautiful space for him to be laid to rest. My mom did some calling around up there and found this clinic in Pelican Rapids that would travel to her house roughly 25 miles to make this happen for me. What happened was completely unexpected to me. The vet that came Dr Brent Henkes and his Tech Andrea were so compassionate. They had never met Baxter. They were so sympathetic to my ordeal. Dr. Henkes was able to help me understand why Baxter wasn't responding to my homemade food and all my attempts to feel better. I actually think Andrea was crying along with me at one point. I was absolutely amazed with the professionalism and care they gave me in this horrific time. To top it off, I received a sympathy card in the mail signed by their entire team with the most beautiful poem enclosed. This clinic went above and beyond for me and Mr Baxter. I am so grateful they were able to help me end Baxter's suffering in the most beautiful way. If you live in the Fergus Falls area, you should travel to Pelican Rapids for your pet care. This Dr and his staff are top notch.

Being an employee of Weckwerth Animal Hospital, my review may be considered bias, but with that in mind, I have worked at animal hospitals that I would not dream of giving a 5 star review. Dr. Brent Henkes, along with the rest of the staff, have been the most compassionate people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. EVERY single staff member cares about EVERY single patient as if they were their own pet. Dr. Henkes has some of the safest ways to practice medicine and I have complete faith in his diagnostic abilities. I would recommend this clinic to anyone, even if I was to work somewhere else someday.
