These guys are awful. Rebates the lowest in the state. Power the most expensive. They jack up our facility charge to fund their natural gas expansion to rich lake people that 95% of members will never have access to. I wish ottertail power could buy them out so we could get decent service.

We are very happy with the service we've gotten from Lake Region Electric Company. In the 15 years they have been our provider we've had very few outages and only one was more than 6 hours in length. I feel their proactive tree trimming really helps keeps keep outages to a minimum.

Paying a bill online is a headache most of the time. Getting into my account is a nightmare too. I never receive snail mail, I didn't set it up to be paperless.

I've been very happy with LREC. Outages are relatively rare now. Planned outages are well communicated. Offers lots of cost savings programs for members. While most members probably still feel like they're just customers, LREC is genuinely invested in creating a co-op culture among members and it's dedicated to keeping utility costs low. Encourage all members to get involved and learn more. Really hope the Natural Gas program expands to the west side of Perham.

I have had wonderful experiences with LREC. Any time I have had an issue, the staff in Pelican Rapids have done their best to find a good solution. The delivery of electric here is wonderful. Outages are at a minimum. The response in an emergency is amazing. The service department is on the spot to fix the problem and get the lights back on. My first experience with a co-op and a great one,

It has been a week now since the electrician has turned in his inspection for my electricity. He stated that it shouldn't take longer than a week. It has been a week and 2 days. I will make this 5 stars if I have electricity when I get home and can get off my generator. The excuse of waiting on product to come in is no excuse for poor service. This should have been done several days ago. I paid a lot of money for this, I would like to enjoy the comfort. Thank you.

Can’t pay my bill online anymore, Smart Hub made sure of that. Can’t even change or make a new password either. I have past due bills I couldn’t pay and previous bills to pay. No one ever answers the phone when you call, you get a lame message and someone calls you back at their leisure. Most of us have busy lives and can’t always get the call back, so they leave another lame message to call them back and no one answers.

I am with Whitehorn Fire Dept. We had a linebreak in our area from 2 trucks pulling 2 halves of a a double wide mobile home our pole with transformer and meter was down, being Fire Dept. Needing power for multiple purposes Lake Region reacted immediately!!! Corey's crew did a fantastic job!!! We are all very grateful!! Thanks Corey/Lake Region!

I’d have to say that if we had a choice we would not use lake region but we don’t. We’ve had 2 major outages in the last month or so that lasted way to long. Right now we have been without power since Monday. Today is Wednesday. They are slow and over priced. If we were to sell our home I’d probably try to find a place not powered by them.

Lake Region Electric has been very easy to work with while we were building our house. When we do have a power outage they send out alerts and they resolve the issue very fast! Glad to be on their grid!

Purchased a standby generator in 2021. The deal is lake region shall do the 1st oil change. They never changed the oil. I have called 4 times. All I get is excuses (too busy)

we have had REA for 40 years in 2 different homes. they are always on the ball and work hard to restore power as quickly as possible. we have had our power out for several days due to wicked storms and we survived just fine.

I have natural gas through them and they are overpriced (ive heard more expensive then propane at the moment) but my main complaint is that they offer no rebates. I spent over 1500 bucks on new water heaters and a nest thermostat and paid 200 bucks plus install for a used boiler. I didn't want to pay 3000 bucks for a new higher efficiency one without getting no rebate money in return. The best they said they could do is a payment plan added to my account to cover costs, probably with interest. To bad lakes region added a pipeline and not centerpoint energy, even gappa which is our local propane dealer offers rebates. Im only giving 2 stars because the meter hookup was free and it got rid of the ugly propane tank in my yard.

We had a power outage in early June on Big Cormorant due to some very strong winds taking out a tree branch which knocked out a power line. This was a Sunday morning at about 3:30am. Crew came out very quickly and had us back up and running in less than two hours. Very impressed.

Without power for over 26 hours! I have never had an outage last this long. I appreciate the hard work pf the crews working to restore power. But they unfortunately are having to make up for others negligence.
