Went here because Gabby's Eats & Treat had Closed for the day.My husband had slice of apple pie & a scoop of ice cream & a wine cooler. I had 1/2 hot beef sandwich. My husband said his apple pie was good, but the ice cream was cheap Kemp's vanilla ice cream. My hot beef sandwich, the bread & beef were very hot & the mashed potatoes were ice cold, like a freezer. The brown gravy was somewhat warm. The wait staff was alright. The atmosphere was alright. Would we return again, probably not. Rather have gone to Gabby's Eats & Treats, had great experiences ever time we have been there.

I brought my dad here a year ago because we really enjoy the food. He was really disappointed because we had to wait over an hour just to get our food. Today, a year later, we wanted to give it another try. Another hour wait. My sausage gravy that I ordered with my food was ice cold. The food was nothing more than, okay... We will not be returning. If you need more staff, hire more staff!!!! We thought things would be better by now! We miss the old cafe!!

We waited over 2 hours for our meal. The chicken wasn't hot, it was warm. We were to get cole slaw with our meal but didn't want to wait another 2 hours for it. I noticed other people leaving lots of food on the table. People had to refill their own coffee from the server station. One in our group had to go in search of silverware. Waitress was pulled to wash dishes/help cook. Never got refills during our 2 hour wait.

Seemed like a nice place. Waitress gave no greeting just walked up and said what do you want. Burger was $8, if you want anything other than a 4oz frozen sysco hamburger and bread it will cost you 50 cents for a piece of onion, 50 cents for a slice of tomato, 50 cents for a pickle, and 50 cents a leaf of lettuce. Premium price for trucks top quality.

Came in and waited 15 minutes for the server to acknowledge us. Once she came over she was very rude and took another 10 minutes before she came over to ask for our order. Fast forward an hour and we still hadn’t gotten our food. 10 out of 10 do NOT recommend. This place needs some help.

Had a cabin around this area for a while and idk how I have missed this place! The food is amazing and the staff is so sweet. This is a true home town restaurant, amazing staff and even better food for a great price.Would highly recommend.Had the French dip and it was one of the best I ever had!

This charming little cafe is in pristine shape! It has a full original wood diner bar complete with barstools! I swear it was like stepping foot onto a hallmark movie set. Extremely clean, taken care of, and full of character. Extremely kind staff and delicious food with ample servings. I was jealous of my friends fish and chips (was actually homemade chips and not fries). The biscuits were oddly flat shaped....but tasted so good! Make sure you get a slice of pie 😉

SO happy that the Palisade Cafe is back (and better than ever!) Best breakfast and broasted chicken in Aitkin County. If you're lucky enough to have Amy as your server you're in good hands! 10/10Update from July 2021 - back at the Palisade Cafe 2.0 and I had the BEST PANCAKE I've ever had! Make sure you order one for the table if it does not come with your meal.

Very nice little restaurant in Palisade. Chef Debbie has some amazing lunch specials that are always good! Very coinvent that they post daily specials on their Facebook page. Will definitely continue going!

Cute little place clean neat and seems in order smells appetizing help is friendly coffe is on pointJust one thing stands out to me they must have the same owner or they are friends because its the same menu as the Buckhorn in McGregor lolEverything was going good but the food just pulls up short with burning some stuff and then serving it I guess standards shoulld be put in place would I visit this place again ( maybe)

Very large portions of your standard american cafe food. It definitely has that small town cafe feel most people want when they go to their cabin for the weekend. One downside is the cafe was listed for sale in September 2018 and may be under new ownership soon. So you may be rolling the dice in the future.

We have been come up to the palisade area for the past 12 yrs for the summers. We discovered it the first summer and we have been going there ever since. Food is awesome wait staff is friendly. Owners are super nice.

This is the home town cafe from the movies! Great food and good service. Can here on a four wheeler ride and it was the perfect stop
