There were 4 adults in our party. We walked in at 10:30 on Thursday morning, place was empty. We were greeted right away. The staff was very friendly and our waiter had some hustle! One of us ordered decaf coffee and he said it would be a few minutes because they had to make some. They were eager to please which was nice. The food took about 20 minutes and as we waited four more tables filled up. The food was presented well and tasted great. We all had a different breakfast on the menu. Everyone agreed we should come back. Highly recommend!

We had breakfast at the Crooked Lake Cafe and it was great. The food was fresh and hot and was high quality. We have been coming to Outing MN for over 40 years and it’s great to see a good cafe back in town. It was definitely a step above all of the other restaurants we have tried over the years. The menu had a great variety of items to try and everyone in our party enjoyed what they had. The owner was very friendly and the service was great. Looking forward to coming back!

Came here for the first time, and we were excited to try it. Took over 10 minutes for a server to come to our table. After another 10 minutes, finally got our waters, but no menus. There were only 2 other tables occupied with 2 servers and the owner. One couple walked out and the 3 of us after having no one come to our table, walked out. We don't recommend. Disappointing.

Waited 1 hour for an omelet. Served with frozen strawberries and canned pineapple. My husband served a gravy smothered country steak that was not like any other gravy he had ever had...not good. I asked for a water and never got it. $18 meal and left hungry. I know this is a small business and I fully support small business, but please atleast serve good food so it is worth the wait. I will be supporting the Chicken Shack and Pickled Loon exclusively from now on.Edit to my original review and comment to the owners response.I would have loved to request a remake of my order, but did not have another hour to wait. I ordered an egg white omelet with veggies (the Narrows Scramble) that came with frozen mushy strawberries and pineapple with powdered sugar and one piece of toast for $15.99 and 3 pieces of bacon ala carte for $3 = so really $19. Also, forgot husbands toast. I'd like to say you get what you pay for but clearly not the case with both our meals. Yes, we need small business, but please provide a meal and service that is worth paying for - what was served was false advertisement. Calling your customer a liar is not very professional or classy.

Took over an hour from the time we ordered to getting our food when the bulk of people were finished. They also didn’t refill our coffee or check on us.In response to your comment: maybe from when your waitress gave you the order but not when we ordered. We won’t be coming back. Snide comments when this is honest feed back looks bad on you, not me.
