We found our happy spot to lay our head for the night. Comfortable beds, easy to find. We will be back as we come thru quite often to pick up boats at New York Mills. Next time we will take advantage of their bar & dining. Easy check in/out.Noteworthy details: A hair dryer would have been a bonus. I will bring mine next time now that I know they aren’t in the rooms. No biggy!

The only good thing I can say is the place appeared clean and the A/C worked. The food in the restaurant was bad. My prime rib was so tough it was hard to cut wirh the knife provided and my son's rice serves with the walleye was crunchy - undercooked. The bathroom door in the room wouldn't shut, the toilet flush handle was about to fall off and the toilet seat is loose. See my comments on the room for more.Rooms: Stayed in room 130. The bathroom door wouldn't shut. The toilet flush handle was about to fall off and the toilet seat was loose. They don't provide coffee or coffee makers in the room. They provided only two very small bars of soap and 1 tiny bottles of shampoo. Essentially enough for one person for 2 days in a room with 2 queen beds. Their TV is internet driven Direct TV Streaming. It is slow to respond. You cannot access a channel directly, you must pull up the guide and flip channels until you find one you want to watch. About the only good thing I can say is it appeared clean and the air conditioning worked on a hot weekend.

The bed was super comfortable, first time in a long time I don't leave with a backache. Our room didn't have a window, is that up to code? Also, our room slept 4 and we got 2 towels for 4 people for two nights. There was complimentary coffee that actually tasted good! Music from the bar was pretty loud until the live music in the bar next door was done, lol, so if you're looking to go to bed early maybe try somewhere else. Other than that the room was incredibly quiet and simce there weren't any windows we were able to sleep in a little!

Went there for a concert in the parking lot. Gary Allen was playing stage. Also ate Dinner there as well. Pretty busy that nigth. Nice restaurant. Nice bar area. The staff was friendly and quick. I had there queen cut Prime rib. It was done exactly the way I wanted it medium rare.

I was just there for a couple of days of fishing . The location is perfect with Ottertail lake being right across the street . JJ and Chris along with the rest of the staff are very friendly and accommodating , friendly locals too. I would definitely stay there again . Everything was clean and looks like they are making further improvements. I look forward to going back next year.Rooms: Our room was very clean and the house staff was very nice too us.Nearby activities: Great place to stay for a fishing trip.Food & drinks: The food was good and affordable.Noteworthy details: It`s not a 5 star hotel but if you are looking for a clean place to stay with a great staff and good food this place will be perfect for you.

The lodge is just as described, if not better. Super clean, large room. Great bed, pillows, perfect air conditioning and nice big shower, microwave and small fridge and tv with lots of opinions and I was able to reserve to bring my pet with, very easy. There is an app to check in which seems like a great system, except I didn't see anything stating that my room had physical keys to pick up vs the code that the app kept saying was emailed. After waiting for the email to come through and figure it out, I ran over to the bar and the bartender was able to look it up quickly and gave me the keys. Ventured down to the supper club/bar for dinner. Great food, and quick service. Music on the patio during the afternoon was great. Overall a great experience, would 100% stay again.
