I usually don’t do 1-star reviews, but this really bothered me. I stopped by this morning (April 30th) to pick up some groceries and saw pork chops for BOGO. Going through check out was slow and I had to ask for my receipt. I’m glad I did because I saw I was charged for both packages of pork chops, clearly labeled BOGO. I thought “Simple mistake, I’ll just call the store and get it sorted.” Once I had called the store I was told that the sale didn’t start until May 3rd? What’s going on here??

They had great produce and an incredible bakery. I wish the Cannon Falls store was like this one. It was hard to distinguish this store and other high-end grocery stores. The cake we bought was incredible.

Nice grocery store with a Starbucks, their own bakery, deli, meat market, lots of fresh produce, and a good variety of groceries. Every time I've gone to this store, the employees have been very helpful to me. The cashier was very friendly and welcoming. They keep their store neat and clean. They have made nice upgrades to their store through the years, both indoors and the exterior of the store, including landscaping. I like the brown brick exterior of the building as opposed to how this store looked on the outside many years ago. This store now fits in much better with the historic downtown Northfield buildings.

I typically love family fare. I think they have great meat and produce but the customer service at the deli in northfield is so bad. It takes forever for someone to ask for your order because they are focused on other tasks even though you’re standing right in front of them. This is night and day difference from the cannon falls deli who approach you immediately and are so friendly. I love the cannon falls deli. Northfield also has the worst self checkouts. They are too smart and frequent have problems. Especially with the annoying scale for bagging. Target has simple, user friendly ones.The “younger” staff (I assume high school students) are always friendly, helpful, and efficient. I always get the best customer service from them and they always seem to be the most hard working. I hope FF in northfield rewards them.

So there was an item on sale listed on flier, been busy all week so I remembered on last day of the sale Saturday. I called and the very nice person that answered the phone went above and beyond. Last minute call about a sale item ! I would be annoyed lol. Needless to say she answered my questions and checked to see if there were any of the sale items available for purchase and with the great attitude that is hard to find nowadays. Very helpful lady and glad she helped me Keep up the good work

I do almost all my grocery shopping there and frequently have a Cafe late or something similar in the Cafe. The cashiers and the batista are always friendly and helpful and I always enjoy meeting the people in the Cafe. I love meeting new people and exchange stories.

Close and so it’s convenient, but it’s very expensive and has random inventory (no oyster sauce or green curry paste, but they do stock red curry paste occasionally) check the dates on boxed produce. They are not helpful in ordering anything that isn’t already in stock.

The starbucks inside is really nice. This store has everything, or at least almost everthing, that a college student needs

Great grocery store! Fairly friendly staff. Cashiers are awesome! Love that we have Starbuck in this tiny town! Just don't appreciate having to pay the price of convenience, the $2-5 up charge on everything is a bit much. We're locals afterall, shouldn't we be nice to the locals?

They are a bit on the pricey side, but comparable to Cub. They have a nice selection of items and a very friendly staff. I would recommend them.

The store and what it has to offer is fine. It looks like a nice small town grocery store. I would be willing to pay more for a small town grocery store feel but that has not been my experience. I have tried multiple times but the customer service is so ridiculously bad I won’t be going back again. They seem more concerned with wearing masks and acting like the arm pit of the woke leftists then they do about doing their job. They don’t even have to do their job for all I care, at least know how to greet a customer. They treat you like you are waisting their time. Every employee looks like they are 5 days over due for a shower. This isn’t the first poor review regarding the poor standards for the employees so clearly the management doesn’t care. It’s sad to see it’s been a problem for so long.

Family Fare has all the basics of a good grocery store. There’s a good variety of products, even amongst sections you might not expect. The produce section does occasionally leave something to be desired.

Great store. They worked with us to get Oikos whole milk yogurt, that is no longer available at Cub, or Byerlys or Walmart or Target

Rude customer service. I go here often and I will be choosing cub from now on. Three checkout workers can't bag properly either. So much for small town friendliness.Also, the Starbucks here always messes up.

I like this store because it has all the vitamin water that I need and love to drink! It is more pricey than some other stores though. So I only buy my water here sometimes I will buy something else but was disappointed ☹️ this time that there wasn’t very many good sales going on, maybe after the holidays they will come back! All in all I love the store but you need to do some comparison shopping with stores in towns that are close by you!

Since the change, they have been way more expensive. but with that, there deli and fish options have increased in great ways. Floors are always clean. There are plenty of veggies in stock for whatever meal you're deciding to make big or small.

It's good, the selection is pretty decent. Prices are higher than aldis but lower than cub foods. It's nice that it's in the middle of downtown so it's pretty convenient for st Olaf or Carleton students

My wife and I are 84 and 86 years old. I am diabetic and my wife is physically handicapped. We sought the third vaccine and were treated extremely well by everyone and got our shots from Stephanie within 24 hours. We give them the highest rating 5.0

As I work a morning shift I'm usually there at night oh, and from what I've seen save for maybe one or two employees, this stores employees have the worst work ethic I have ever seen. Any time I go in there it's just kids in uniform either making crude comments throwing stuff across the aisles or sitting in the aisles eating. The store itself and what is offers is awesome but the employees are just the biggest turn-off for me and I can't bring myself to shop there for that reason. I am a blue colored man who works his butt off every day not to walk in and see somebody get paid to screw around.

Night manager is the most helpful, friendly and courteous person possible! Nothing but good things to say about the staff, good deals and overall convenience of shopping @ this store. It's my go-to for groceries.

Another company that doesn't salt their inclined driveway until after it turns to ice. You are liable, regardless of whether the person you hired shows up to plow. You can afford a shovel and salt, get out there and take care of business. I'm tired of slid8ng into traffic because people forget every single year that you should salt before it turns to ice.

The remodeling was a big disappointment. I was hoping they would make it feel like a Byerly's and lower the ceilings and put in carpeting, but no, it still feels like a stark white warehouse style store. They also put in self check-outs which suck and almost always requires someone to assist you as they simultaneously put people out of work. Prices are also too high.

This place is overpriced by $1 to a little over $3 for a single product. After spending my money and adding up how much more I spent by not driving to Walmart. I decided the trip to Walmart is way cheaper than the money spent in this place. You can't even buy a lottery ticket unless you let them scan your driver license. Um! Hello airheads!! You can still buy the tickets in your lottery machine in the store and the machine doesn't ask for your driver license. Cub foods also wants to scan your license for lottery tickets as well, but their prices on food are a hell of a lot more cheaper than Family Unfare! I would avoid this place unless only for emergency food shopping.
