Expensive. I remember why I haven't been there in a long time. I stopped in to get snacks for a trip and cold medicine and thought I could just make a single stop at Cub. They had everything I was looking for, but I payed for the convenience. Cashier was friendly and explained their reward program that I thought I belonged to but was obviously phased out of. They have a new promotion that utilizes actual physical stamps. Blows my mind.

I was in cub at 12:15 on cashier 11 Nov 21st. First of all I said hello to the cashier, and she gave me a dirty look and said nothing. I was packing my groceries and accidentally dropped a can of spaghetti sauce. She again glared at me and never bothered to ask if I was okay, and looked away. Then older one said step away. I apologized, and she too just glared at me like I committed a crime. I will never ever shop there again. What customer service. Oh yeah, Happy Thanksgiving. You should get rid of the people that hate their job.

I went from shopping only at Walmart, switched to Hyvee and now I will only shop at Cub Foods! These are the reasons why I love shopping here and officially made the switch!😄 The aisles are set up great, easily find stuff you need, and shop faster, more efficiently.🤑 Savings are great, deals on what I actually buy unlike other stores!! Saving me alot of money monthly.🍓 Produce is of good to superb quality, that's a must have. I enjoy getting their grapes. Amazing bakery, delicious baked goods. Clean restrooms, always a plus.🕛 Open 24 hours!! I'm a night owl so that's a must for me right now.🍞 You do have to bag your own groceries. I actually like bagging my own groceries, since I'm peticular about how my groceries are bagged.👥 Employees are really friendly and helpful.💲 Very affordable!! You will save so much money yearly on your grocery bill.Did I mention Target is next door! 🛍😍

on the plus side the produce dept is very good, fresh and large selection. on the bad side the meat dept is shockingly overpriced. stopped in for something for the smoker and found beef brisket priced at $11.99 per pound. I usually get mine from Sam's club for $3.99 per pound. so a slab I would pay $65 to $85 at Sams could cost $200 to $250 at cub, shameless... I'd go vegan first.

In must say that Jeff in the meat department was a pleasure to work with. He is so courteous and efficient. His service was excellent. He represents your store very well. Thanks Jeff!

The prices are good but unfortunately the staff is not real knowledgeable about where things are in the store and tend to be in the way, quite a bit, when stocking. I've also had several issues with the product ringing up with the wrong price, or not in the system. What really turns me off is the new rewards program. I shouldn't need to join a rewards club just to get the advertised price. The last thing I need is someone selling my information. And don't tell me the rewards program was designed to save the customer money. It was designed so the store can make more money. I've been in retail my whole life. I know how these loyalty/rewards programs work.

Love Cub's deli selections. Had to stock-up on their amazing cheese selection before heading back home to Oklahoma.

I bought some pre-made pasta and after billing it I accidentally dropped the container and made a mess all around. I felt so bad for the mess I created, but they were kind enough to replace my pasta without charging again and clean up the mess. So happy to see people like this working there. Thank you guys. I really appreciate it.

Has had all the food items I need while I'm there. Has a wonderful fresh bakery. And fresh veggies from near by farmers. Always kept clean. The cashiers are sometimes friendly. Self checkout has its problems at time but usually easy. Depending on time and day it can be packed or empty. Prices for items are decent and better then most others stores in northfield.

Nice clean store with good variety. Excellent quality on organic fruits - best I've had in years! A bit pricey on some things, but if you shop items on sale, you do fine. Very friendly staff.I saw staff swapping out old produce items this morning ~ never have seen that anywhere - Impressive!

This place might as well not be open 24 hours. If it’s anything other than first shift you can’t even get half of what you need. Large chunks of the store are regularly closed off for “cleaning”. You often times have to wait for a cashier to show up because all the self checkouts are closed. More than once ive sat there for 10 minutes just waiting at the register before the cashier shows up.

Ordered corned beef in the deli yesterday. Asked for it to be cut on #2 and the guy did #1. It is without a doubt the worst corned beef I’ve ever had. It is slimy and overly salty. For the price I paid for it, I should be able to at a minimum eat it. Horrible product and over priced at that!

The store is ok, but since several items are identical and more expensive than the neighboring Aldi, I've largely stopped shopping here. The worst thing is the checkout. There send to rarely be many levers open. I prefer self checkout, but the one at Church it sooo un-intuitive and cumbersome! It also send to need cashier assistance a lot. If it does need cashier assistance, the single cashier will keep ringing up they're love of customers before the come to assist. It really indent that enjoyable to waste 10+ minutes waiting to purchase a handful of items. If walked away from the self checkout twice here and simple took my business elsewhere, because of this. Why is the system so flawed? Target and Walmart self checkout work fine.

Employees lie about meat inventory. called this afternoon to see if they had any turkeys left, the girl on the phone straight up said no, and that they had 0 in stock elsewhere. Sent the kid there to get a ham instead, and he checked the fresh turkey section anyways and what do you know..... They had over 10 turkeys left! Just disturbing, why lie and potentially screw up someone's holiday. I hope that employee or manager gets reported by other people as well so something is done to fix their lying issue.

Whoever is in charge hires the worst cashiers, stockers, and associates in general. This week alone I've had a cashier with hair in his face who neither acknowledged nor spoke a word to me, the paying customer in front of him, a man who without acknowledging me made me wait in the aisle while he put potato chips on the shelf, and a stocker who threw down a pallet right in front of me.

Store is well laid out and clean. Prices reasonable. The associate that was at the register was very friendly. My issue is with the associates in the aisle including the store manager. Not one of them offered a greeting or asked if I could use some help. This store does not offer baggers nor do they offer assistance to the vehicle. Can't hold a candle with the likes of Publix or Fairway Foods.

Good variety, good prices, and if you use your Cub card you can save even more on gas at Holiday. One complaint I have is that employees stocking the shelves have carts and pallets blocking the aisles during peak times.

I love the prices, and the staff is pretty friendly. However, check your expiration dates. I have taken home numerous items that were expired and in one case I had bugs living in a brand new bag of rice.

Great cub and fantastic employees but I’d like to give Jeff the Meat Manager extra kudos for such great customer service and confirms why I buy my minnesota beef from cub! Thanks Jeff and all employees at cub for making my experience always a pleasure!

Pretty much what you would expect from a grocery store, they have most stuff you might want. I could not find, however, ANY buttermilk; all i could find was low-fat buttermilk which in the end worked for my recipe but it was really weird that they didn’t have normal buttermilk. The donuts in the bakery are good and they have baking utensils in the front of the store which i’ve found useful.

I love that there’s a cub foods in northfield , my parents have me and 3 other kids and so usually we go to target to get everything except food but then we get all the food at cub! I love cub , I think there staff is great ! I’m glad they finally had more French silk pie ice creams in stock! One thing I do wish they had still is chicken fries . They used to have em almost all the time now they don’t have them ... we have to go all the way to lakeville to get them !! Also the other day we were at cub foods and saw many black and moldy bananas still on the rack! YUCK!!!

At least half the self checkouts were out of order and the cashier in the next lane refused to checkout people even if they only had one item. Very unpleasant experience shopping here.

Great selection, prices on the lower end for Northfield— but not the lowest, more on that later. They do have a fairly decent deli section, the biggest in the area. The rotisserie chicken is a pretty good deal, and taste great. All their bakery items are made fresh — I had a friend that used to work there. They do a lot of great deals on different items if you have a cub card. Are usually get two $7 12-packs of tea for $4.50 each if I use my card, for instance. There are several similar deals, you just have to look at the tag under the item. Should be pretty obvious. The only thing that makes this store more difficult for some might be the vast lay-out, it’s a pretty wide open space. But the kind of selection they have, is exactly why the store has to be made this way. If I am in a hurry I will usually go to a different store than this, maybe Econo. But overall, and a regular grocery shopping trip this place is awesome. I will say that if you are pennypinching, you should take your grocery list to Aldi, a couple doors down, and compare prices. Most things at Aldi are cheaper, but obviously they do not have near the selection.

Just called to ask if they had a self serve salad bar. I was politely told no, but told they could transfer me to the deli and they could build me something! I declined as it wasn't urgent, but thought " what great customer service to offer!"

DO NOT shop this store on weekends!!!!! Especially avoid the deli counter. There might be many employees working in the back of the deli counter (making food maybe??? on a break???) but only one who is actually waiting on customers, and anyone who thinks they can just outwait the employee needs to know that customers will be helped at the employee's discretion as opposed to who has been standing in line the longest. Save an hour or so of your time and shop elsewhere for those week day lunch specials.

I have only been shopping at this store since it is the best option in Northfield but I am finally at the point where I am willing to drive to Hyvee to shop. They have a horrible fresh food selection. The past 2 weeks the chicken I bought smelled when I went to cook it so I threw it out. They have almost zero selection for fish and different kinds of meat. I have already been driving to Hyvee when I need to buy fish. I have been there on numerous occasions where they have been completely out of milk! Seriously, keep your shelves stocked! I understand getting low but it's unacceptable to be out. They even ran out of soup one time! Forget about asking an employee to go out of their way to do something for you. Lastly, I think it is ridiculous that you have to bag your own groceries. This slows down everything. The lines are always so long. At least open more registers if you are going to require people to bag their own groceries. The cashier will sit there and not even lift a finger as the groceries from the next person start overtaking the previous ones. This weekend was the last straw and I will be doing my weekly trip at Hyvee.

Clean store. They keep the isles tidy and organized. Better selection than other cubs I've been too. And I've never had a shopping cart with a squeaky wheel!

Went and stood in line at Cub in Northfield to checkout and a wonderful cashier named Liz Truman saw another lane should be open and tool action. Liz was engaging, smiled and was very pleasant and cheered me up on such a hot day. Thank you Liz for your great work and attitude!
