Yet again the employees think they own the entire town. Can’t even use the on out handicap accessible spot to my apartment because 2 specific employees purposely keep parking blocking the sidewalk enterance because they are too lazy to walk. Both cars pictured are the 2 constantly doing it even tho us and a tow company have asked them to stop. So when your car end up getting dinged by a walker or wheelchair blame your self

Great Meat Market! Always busy....but an employee is always fast to help. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. It's definitely worth the trip for amazing meats, cheeses, and other deli items.The staff is always friendly as well. The store is well maintained and clean.

I grew up just a few miles from Schmidt's, so I never truly appreciated how great it was until I started visiting other spots. In my opinion, it is the best of the best for sausages. My personal favorite is the Swan Lake Style Summer Sausage, but you can't go wrong with any of them. The raspberry chipotle bacon is also a standout.I'm not alone in the praise. Just have a look at all the awards on the wall.Walk in the door, breathe in the smell of the smokehouse, and enjoy the best meat market for miles around.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! I live over 2 hours away, but have family near Nicollet, so I stop there whenever I am around. I was on my way home today and stopped in for some of my favorites, the place is PACKED, (had to park 1/2 a block away but who cares?) Went in, grabbed my favorite summer sausage, snatched up a bacon wrapped chicken breast, went to the counter for some beef sticks, potato salad and to get my Summer sausage sliced, was helped by a super friendly employee, and witnessed many other super awesome employees being friendly and helpful even thru the crazy crowded busy place....just wanted to give a shout out to you ALL! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!

Hey, this place has everything for your mouth watering meat appetite! We are on the road and needed an original sausage for our grandchildren and they sliced it up while I waited. I also bought some other items, some brats, some pickles and boysenberry cranberry relish. We'll see all that tastes?

Schmidt’s is always a stop when passing through! We used to bring our meat here for processing when I was a kid as we have family in town.The summer sausage is my favorite (German Beer Style 🤤), but I enjoy the meat sticks, variety of brats and hamburger concoctions, and local assortment of cheeses. Definitely worth the stop every time. Don’t forget to have them Alice your salami so you can enjoy right away!

High quality beef and pork. Amazing beef sticks (especially the Maple flavor) and the summer sausage (Wisconsin flavored with cranberries) is something that is a special tradition at Christmas.Everyone is very helpful and they are just like Energizer Bunnies moving behind the meat counter. It is a popular place and it can get very busy at times but the employees keep people moving through.I recently had a special order I needed help with and Brian was so very helpful. He took time with me and was friendly and just made my day.The smells in and around the store are so yummy. They need to make a candle with the scent of smoked and cured meat!

Must stop! In house smoked meats, weiners, brats and sausages. Fresh cut full service meat counter. Large variety of deli meats, cheeses and salads. Jams, jellies and pickled items. Crackers. Frozen packaged items, stuffed chicken breasts, turnovers, cinnamon rolls. The wonderful staff delivers great service, and although working hard - make it look easy. A Minnesota classic!

Quite possibly the greatest thing to happen to meat since fire. I stop at this place anytime I'm passing through, which isn't enough. Their beef sticks, beef jerky, beef stick ends are amazing snacks. If I'm on my way home, I'll grab a couple steaks or chops for dinner. Small selection of cheese and sides. Great service!

Best meat locker in Minnesota. This place does incredible business. They have ample staff so even though it's busy, you can get whatever you want and out the door too. It's worth the drive from anywhere in Minnesota. Just bring a big wallet cause you'll buy alot more than you planned 😁😁.

I have only tasted two of their summer sausages (Jalapeño & Cheese, German Beer). Just these two alone and I know this place will not go out of business.I am a picky summer sausage guy, NEVER bother with the large name brands, Pure garbage and an insult to humanity what they are making.Schmidt's is the best. Now I'm not just saying that. When I tasted these two (each time) my eyes lit up and a Darth Vader sound came out from my mouth!

If you're coming from the metro area, take 169 south all the way to St. Peter, stop for coffee at the River Rock Cafe, the cut across to Nicollet. This meat market is worth the trip!We like to stock up an their summer sausage, ground pork, and hamburger. Their Braunschweiger is the best, as is their Gretzwurtz!!! We never leave empty handed😊!

We loooove Scmidt's Meat Market! It has fabulous meats and cheeses. Everything there is fresh and delicious! The meat market has a delicious smoked smell the moment you walk through the doors. The staff is really friendly and will slice up anything you ask them to (ie sausages and cheese). It may be a little more pricey than grocery locations, but you're definitely paying for great quality! It has very cute German theming, and is a very fun place to visit and shop!

Schmidt's is the bomb. Everything you can possibly imagine for meat and then some. The place is rockin' all the time, but I get waited on efficiently and quickly. Some of the stuff is kind of expensive, but it's to be expected for that level of quality. There are other good meat markets around too, it just depends on what you like. I highly recommend their summer sausage and the cheddar beef sticks. We are new to the area, so I have not had a chance to try a lot of things here. I look forward to trying more. I also love supporting these kinds of entrepreneurial, family ventures. It just feels good to do business there.

Awesome business!! Can't beat their products. Staff and service are out of this world. Their customer service surpass 99% of most business. Today there were a number of young people ( high school / college age ) working....they were hustling 😊. I sincerely hope they retain the work ethics Schmidt's Meats is showing them. PS ... we drive 2.5 hours just for their bacon!! Check them out, you will not be disappointed.

Always a good trip to make. Really good meats, incredible selection. Never been there when they weren't pretty busy, which tells you something. I counted at least 15 employees, all of them busy providing good service or in the back preparing things, probably more further back I couldn't see.

Schmidt,s meat had won awards for their sticks of sausage. Their meat is farm raised here in Minnesota and is all beef with hardly any fat. It's excellent!!!

Great old fashion meat market. Friendly service, great variety of fresh and frozen products.They slice the summer sausages you buy. Few old time things and some new things. Bring a thermal bag or cooler you'll want to stock up.

Amazing selection of meats. Nice, clean bright atmosphere. Very friendly, helpful knowledgeable people work here. We have never had a bad product from here. This is why we drive an hour and a half to get our Schmidts fix.

What a treat to got the week before Christmas. Very busy and fun!!! I bought the best meat for a fine Christmas dinner. They also has Swedish specialties!
